Lucky Jade Restaurant

The first thing that caught my attention was the smell when I walked through the door… moist, stuffy, and, well.gross. That should have sent me walking the other way back to my car but I was on a 45 minutes lunch with little to no time to go else where. So, I order sweet & sour chicken and a soda. The guy couldn’t quite figure out how to run my Visa (maybe they don’t run a lot of cards? Geesh!) I sat down to wait next to an issue of Time magazine with a booger (yes, i said booger) on the cover. Need I mention the magazine itself was sitting on a sticky table? Once I got my food I practically gasped for fresh air on the way out. My to-​go order came with no utensils so I was forced to go back in. UGH. Long story short (kinda…) the food sucked. I will not go back, ever.

Absolutely, positively DISGUSTING.
My boyfriend, and our friends (another couple) were craving Chinese food and we were in the area, so we went here.
It wasn’t just the food, but the service that was absolutely astonishing to me. We went in, and were the only ones there. It should have been an indicator on a Friday night no less, that it was going to be terrible. We waited 5 minutes just for the waitress to come back and take our order. Shouldn’t she be right out… considering nobody is even there?
For an appetizer, we ordered crab puffs. They were cold on the inside, like they had been sitting. To ask her to heat them up would have taken likely about an hour, so we just ate them anyway. We asked for tea when she brought the appetizers, and she came back 10 minutes later with it. Then, she took our order because we weren’t ready the first time around. Once our order was taken, we waited 45 minutes for our food. 20 minutes in, we debated leaving. She wouldn’t have noticed. The product that was brought to the table was absolutely disgusting. You know when you go to the mall and they have the food models on display? The food looked like that… and tasted pretty similar. It was tiny portions and just… ugh. We finally got our check… and got the hell out of there.

Oh boy! I have not had a meal like this in quite a while. The food was below average and they were out of a few of the items (most Chinese food place should keep a three months supply of BBQ pork, but not these guys). What really bumped me was the lack of cleanliness. Atfer three tries my wife and I were finally equiped with clean forks, and it sounded like they just threw them back in the «clean» pile when they went behind the counter. The table cloth had not been washed in quite some time. We were enjoying our warm tap water without ice when the food arrived. When it came the time to dump some soy sauce on the sub-​par food, guess what, the container was sticky and clogged. The two good things I can say about Lucky Jade is even on a Saturday night you can get your choice of tables in the empty resturant, and the staff was real nice. Probably because they were so underworked.
