–A progressive Christian (Lutheran, Catholic, or other – although we have had members and visitors who are not Christian too… all are welcome!)
–Like to challenge your thoughts and beliefs to think in new ways
–Love to have fun and laugh (and sometimes cry) in church

Mission of the Atonement welcomes all people to worship and join in fellowship. It’s a truly amazing, grace-​filled space.

MoTA is a unique community of Lutherans and Catholics and like no other church I’ve attended. Their web site says «We take the bible seriously, not literally.» What do I love about it? Within this community there is a real living desire to live by Jesus’ example, including an inclusive atmosphere that welcomes everyone; embracing of the poor, the oppressed, and the stranger; real efforts among the community to grow in spirit and to question what we are told and what we know; a commitment to peace and social justice. MoTA is celebrating 25 years as a Lutheran-​Catholic community this year.
