Precision Body & Paint of Beaverton

Wow! I just got off the phone with Precision Body & Paint and they were the rudest people I have ever encountered and completely condescending! I am still in shock by it. They were recommended to me by Sunset Audi as a business they refer to. I called and a female receptionist answered and did a blind transfer to someone named «Joe». I told him that I had scraped the bumper of my car on a concrete pillar and asked what an approximate estimate would be for something like that. He, in irritation said it would be «about $ 1000» and in an irritated voice said «I won’t know until i see the car». I said «Okay» and was trying to ask if those approximate estimates include all products and services i.e. their repair fee, paint, etc. I barely started talking when he spoke rudely over me «I won’t know until i see the car». I said «I realize that but I am trying to ask…» Rudely cut off again with «I won’t know until I see the car». I said, «I understand that this is not a quote but an approximation. I am just wondering if it generally includes all services?» He answered with I can bring the car in and still would not answer that which does NOT lock a price in, how could it? Anyone there can answer what services they charge for. I wasn’t about to ask again and said «okay, thank you» and he in a very condescending voice said «BYEEEE…» and promptly hung up on me. I get people having a bad day but this was beyond. I did nothing to this business or person. I was friendly and not pushy. I did not deserve this mans attitude.
FYI… I called Sunset Audi back and told them about my experience and they should not be referring people to this business because of the way I was treated. There is NO WAY I was the first. «Joe» felt entirely too comfortable with the way he spoke to me. I will never ever recommend this business to anyone. I would try to talk them out of it.

I normally dont write bad reviews, because things happen and i like to give places two chances, but this place has had so many chances to make things right and they didnt. Im hoping that this review saves someone from going through what i went through the last 12 weeks. Customer service is precisions last priority. If there were minus stars they’d get a minus 5. If you like excuses, lying and not driving your car then this is the auto body shop for you. Tomorrow will be 12 weeks that i have been trying to get my car finally fixed. I was in a accident the Thursday before Christmas and was referred to a different auto shop by my Subaru dealer. They told me it would be a month cause they were way too busy. That was a long time for me not to have a car and so they gave me a list of shops close so i called around. When i called Precision they said that they had time and could probably start that day or the next. Well that was the very first lie. Come to find out that is what they say to EVERY person that calls. They get your car to their shop and then hold it hostage for weeks. The front desk girl was very nice and this is the only thing good about this place. They are the only ones that ever acted like they felt bad for what was going on and the only ones that apologized. So i leave my car and a week and a half later i called to check in to see how things were going. They hadnt even started on it. They said that they were waiting to hear back from my insurance on additional damages they found once they took it all apart. So comes to find out that is a common thing with them also it buys them more time. So i called my insurance to kinda get things moving and they said that they had nothing for them on any additional damages. My claims guy said to give them his number and to have them call him and he would approve it and get things going. So i call back and give the guys his number he said he would take care of it. I called back two days later and still my insurance had not heard from them. My claims guy ended up calling them and figuring it out. At that point my car had sat at their shop for two weeks with no repairs. So i called back monday and they said that they had ordered the additional parts theyd be in Wednesday. So i called back Wednesday they said they parts came in and should start that day. I knew at that point i wasnt getting my car back in the three weeks they said but hoped at least id get it back in a month. Long story trying to be shorter i called every three days to check on my car, week five he calls me and tells me for some reason my car isnt starting now. He says someone had been working on it for the last 5 hours and cant figure it out. Why they wasted 5 hours and didnt just call Subaru to figure it out or hook it up to a code reader that would have just told them. I was going on a road trip and needed my car by the end of the sixth week and since it wasnt starting he didnt think it was going to happen. I was starting to feel like i was working there calling around to all the different places trying to just get my car back. So i called Subaru got them to look at the car, they figured it out and took care of it in less than two hours. After that more excuses on why they wouldnt have it done. The day that i was leaving i called them at 8am and told them i would be there at 5 for my car and i would wait in the lobby until it was ready. I sat in the lobby for 50 min waiting for my car while they kept telling me 15 more min they were still cleaning it. When i finally got it i noticed a new dent on the back and the tail light was cracked. I showed Ben the guy who had been «helping» me and he was like oh yeah i see that. I was like well i guess ill call you to figure out how it was going to get fixed when i got back. So i called when i got back and they told me i was going to be working with Aaron now cause Ben had been moved to another position. Probably a good idea because Ben gave me the worst customer service ive ever experienced. Aaron is a manager so i thought things would be different. He was very nice and said he wanted to make things right. So he told me to bring my car in Tuesday morning and theyd give me a ride home, it would take four hours and it would all be fixed. Tuesday around 4 i hadnt heard from them so i call and Aaron tells me he got two out of the three things done and needs to keep it overnight. If it was my business and i was trying to make things right i would have it as a priority. I own my own business and i told him that i had to leave my house at 8:45 no later to be at a client appointment. He said that he promised it would be back to me by then. From past experience i should have learned my lesson on them coming through on what they say, but i was like he is a manager there is no way he is going to not follow through. Well 8:10 rolls around the next morning and

Ben was awesome throughout the process in keeping us up to date on progress and trying to keep costs reasonable as we were paying out of pocket. The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star review is that the shop staff seemed to have been careless with the car as it showed up with a number of paint scuffs and scratches that were not in the pictures Precision took when the car arrived. They were fairly minor and could be mostly buffed out, but this is not a 5 star level of service. We were so happy with Ben’s customer service, however, that Precision earned 4 stars and would be our preferred choice should we need a Body Shop again.

Precision customer service is abysmal.
Our car was in for repairs from an accident being covered by the other party’s insurance. My husband and I went to our dealer, VW Herzog Meier, for an initial overview before it was transferred to Precision. Our rep at VW made it clear to Precision that follow-​ups were to be done with the insurance agent not us (the customer).
On the day I was to retrieve our car from Precision, I received a call directly from Precision asking about the whereabouts of a check from the other party’s insurance (Geico). Again, our car was transferred to Precision from VW Herzog Meier and up until this point all of our communications had been through VW — as it should be. Precision was provided the insurance agent’s name and number within the accompanying paperwork and yet somehow failed to follow up with them.
When I informed the Precision rep that I had no idea about what she was referring to, she informed me that my car would not be released until Geico sent the check. What? She then told me that she needed to check on something and would call me back. I got a call back and she claimed that she contacted Geico but they wouldn’t release any information about my account. She apparently just called the generic Geico toll number — not the agent directly that was clearly listed on our paperwork when our car was submitted to them.
This caused me – while I was at work — to have to call the insurance agent and have him call Precision. The Geico insurance agent was awesome and made a point of calling me back but I received no follow up from Precision. These people are awful and I will never return to them if I am ever in need of body services.

The repairs they did were fine, no issues with that. My issues were with the customer service aspect of this. Not sure how much of that stemmed from the fact that they weren’t a preferred auto shop for my insurance. But still, I didn’t expect to be ferrying messages from my insurance company to the body shop and back (they hadn’t taken pictures the first time through, then I’d to confirm call the insurance company to confirm got their report etc etc… why do I have to do this?)
So, then all that resulted in me getting the car back a week or so past when I was initially told. Not all that bad I guess, but left a bad taste that I had to be doing all that leg work. On top of that, a month after the repairs, I was told that my insurance wouldn’t pay for a couple extra days of rental car because they thought the repairs should’ve been done faster. Again, I try to get a hold of Precision and leave a couple of messages. Don’t hear anything back. I call back over a week later and that finally gets them to sit down and talk about it. They did reimburse me for that, but again — why do I have to wait so long to even get a call back for this?
I’m not bitter about the experience, but I feel like this can be a lot smoother. They did everything right in the end, but it took longer than it should have and it took more badgering from me than it should have.

My Tesla needed some repairs to it. This was the only Tesla certified body shop in the state. Cyndi worked with me the entire way. She was a great listener and responsive to any questions I had, by email or phone call. Kept me abreast with all the back and forth emails between Precision and my insurance company. No problems whatsoever. I was impressed with her professionalism and with the shop’s work on my car. My husband is very finicky and has a sensitive eye and couldn’t find any problem with their work. So glad to have my car back, and looking new! Thanks Precision!

Took my wife’s car in for body damage repairs, and they helped me with insurance info, and managed all the repairs. (Took a week longer because of a parts SNAFU, but still got it done!)
Joe was great, with quick answers to my questions, quick research when needed, and kept me informed along the way.
The car looks great, the repairs are top notch, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs their cars repaired!

I had a car repaired at this establishment years ago and received wonderful service. I had another car repaired in the last couple of months (spring 2015) and now I wouldn’t go back. I wish I had read the Unilocal reviews prior to going back because I probably wouldn’t have given them my business. It seems there’s new management and they play by a different playbook. My experience began with Precision arranging for a rental car from a company a block away — the car wasn’t available when I went to get it — nor did they even have a car for me. Not Precision’s fault, but there was no responsibility taken by Precision to rectify the situation. Car was a week later than promised due to a part that wasn’t ordered on time. I had a tough time getting them to return my calls. Just wasn’t a good experience over all. I don’t recommend them.

Terrible experience with this place!
My car had rear bumper and structural damage so I came here at the recommendation of Toyota. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt with the mixed reviews and trusted Toyotas referral. I was assured by the collision analysts that I would be given updates throughout the process, so I left my car and the waiting began. A week later with no update, I call the collision analyst and he assured me that my car should be ready in a few days. Fast forward two more weeks, and several calls I initiated for updates, my car was finally repaired. I would give the quality of work 5 stars, but customer experience 0. Upon receiving my car, the inside was coated in dust and was l left filthy. The technicians were very friendly and fixed this promptly. However, the collision analyst assigned to my case literally brushed it off like it was not a big deal and gave several excuses. The prices seem extremely inflated as well, if you are paying for a repair out of pocket, avoid this place. If insurance is covering and you have patience to deal with a rude colision analyst and long wait times, go for it! But be warned.

I am very pleased with the quality of the workmanship on my 911, and I also enjoyed working with Joe. He was clear, insightful, and responsive in explaining my options and in giving me good advice. The outcome was exceptional. Thank you.

Just got my car back from having the moulding on our side doors replaced and both doors stripped and repainted. I have to say, they did a beautiful job! Owner Ron expertly spearheaded the investigation and repair providing everything his staff needed to get me in and out in short order. Manager Aaron met with us on more than one occasion, made arrangements for my husband and I to have the use of one of their free loaners and personally made sure the completed repairs met his high standards, which they absolutely did! Jennifer K. was my favorite person. She took care of checking us in and out of our loaner, returned my calls really quick and was always incredibly warm and kind. She’s the type of person you instinctively trust and appreciate and has outstanding customer service skills. It’s not just what she knows, but more who she is. Ron and Aaron made a great call in hiring her and if you use their company I hope you have as wonderful of an outcome as we did.
Good job, Precision staff! I’m a fan!

We have a five month old 2015 Mazda 6 which sustained very minor paint damage from being hit with a piece of concrete while having our driveway redone. Went to Herzog and Meiers and they recommended Precision Body and Paint for the repair. We got an estimate for $ 585, which they indicated was high, but the whole door needed to be repainted. The chips, there were four, were less than ¹⁄₈ inch each and would require no dent removal or other work. The final bill was $ 939. It was being paid for by the company doing the driveway and they got totally ripped off. When we called on the fifth day about the car being ready they told my wife they were waiting for a part that they had broken when taking the door apart… but it would be ready by 2pm, she was still in the shop at 5:30 waiting to pick the car up. I would hate to think what real damage would cost at this shop.

They did a excellent job on my Audi. I highly recommend them!!!

I do not even want to give this company 1 star. This is the FIRST poor review I have ever left for a company, as I understand honest mistakes are made, but honest is not a word I would use to describe Precision. Let’s start at the top, and try to make it quick so I don’t bore you:
1. Car (2006 Audi A3) got slammed into by manhole cover pitched at me by a dump truck (crazy, right?), brought it to Precision for repairs.
2. Farmers (my insurance) went through with Precision, figured out everything that needed fixed, and made a repair order they sent to Precision, complete with part numbers.
3. Parts manager called me personally to make sure they ordered the right bumper (it has an aftermarket body kit and she wanted to make sure she ordered the irght bumper).
4. They ordered the wrong bumper, which come to find out was INTENTIONAL. How do I know this? First of all, they ordered a cheaper bumper and marked the price up $ 400.00 to compare with the price of my original bumper — which makes me wonder how many other parts they decided to mark up. Secondly, I overheard a conversation between AARON, the general manager and the parts manager when I had stopped in without warning after my repeated phone calls/​emails/​voice mails were ignored, where the parts manager literally ripped him a new a$$hole saying, «if you hadn’t made me order the wrong bumper to start with, this car wouldn’t still be here.»
5. SEVEN MONTHS LATER Precision finally got the repairs done on my vehicle. Did you read that? SEVEN MONTHS.
6. Farmers called me to tell me that, as a courtesy, they were going to waive my deductible and pay that $ 1,000.00; and, I would receive an additional $ 200.00 credit for a bump on the underside of my car that could not be punched out.
7. I realized there were defects in the repairs made to my vehicle. I tried calling Precision many times, but never got a call back, or was left on hold for 45+ mins at a time. So I gave up and informed my Farmers adjuster of the issues. When this was brought to Precision’s attention by Farmers, they told the claims adjuster, «we will not deal with her or her vehicle anymore.»
8. Insert lawyer. I had my attorney send them a letter asking for my $ 1,000.00 to be refunded.
9. In response to the letter from my attorney, Precision sent a NEW Final Billing Statement on which they added literally THOUSANDS of dollars of work, and insisted that, in fact, I owed them an additional $ 263.18.
10. Guess who’s getting sued and now has a Better Business Bureau Complaint filed against them?!
STAY AWAY FROM PRECISION AND WARN YOUR FRIENDS.

Too expensive and rude. Charged storage fees when I decided to get my car fixed elsewhere.

I had the paint start peeling. I called and left multiple messages and when I finally heard back I was asked to send a picture of the peeling. I did, and then never heard anything. I called and emailed and finally gave up.

I was referred to Precision Body & Paint by Beaverton Toyota, who had just done a great job fixing some suspension issues on my car.
I had some damage on the rear quarter panel/​wheelwell of my 02 Corolla from where someone had hit my car and drove away. The car drove fine, but the tire would rub on the frame when I went over big bumps or if I had too much weight in the car.
Cody and Dennis took a look at damage and were able to fix the problem within minutes right there in the parking lot. Not only did they do a great job, but they refused payment since it was such a small issue. They just asked that I keep them in mind for future body & paint needs.
They seem like great folks over there– willing to take time to help me even when they didn’t profit from it. That’s a stand-​up business in my mind. I’ll definitely come back if/​when I need help on my car

Precision were worse than terrible. A truly horrible experience.
I went to Precision as they were recommended as the certified shop for Audi. Don’t be fooled by this, as I was. The staff are rude and incompetent. My quote went from $ 600 to $ 2,000 and they didn’t even call to tell me. Paint work on the bumper was rushed and shoddy. There were air bubbles from the bad spray paint work as well big chips of paint missing in areas. My tailgate also came out with 3 additional scratches which, according to them, wasn’t them who caused it… but of course.
The excuse they gave for the poor workmanship was that the work wasn’t checked over by anyone. Then when I spoke to that person again the next day, he denied ever saying that!
How these cowboys ever managed to get certified by Audi is beyond me. And they had the cheek to tell me that I was lucky not to have gone to Heitzman because I would not be happy with their work. Seriously, now I wish I had. The «manager» even told me to take my car to Heitzman the next time. I think those were the wisest words that ever came out of his mouth. Don’t worry buddy, because I won’t be taking any car back to you ever again.
If I could give Precision Body and Paint less than one star, I would. Stay away from them. In the words of their manager, «go take your car to Heitzman».

Good body shops are hard to find, but in reality, most people don’t care, they just want it fixed so it looks good enough.
Not me, I’m a perfectionist who’s done body work and paint. I had them do an estimate and needed a tour of the shop. A detailed tour gives you the insight as to how a shop is actually doing the repairs. They were quite happy to give a long detailed tour. Clean, every victim in there was being worked on in a good fashion. Nice separation of work (i.e. no dusty crap all over the just painted panels. Same care given to minivans as to high end cars. Care given all-​round, which is nice to see.
When my car was done, the fine tooth comb came out and found a few minor blems that most people would never see (certainly not the insurance adjuster.). They did an immediate correction without hassle.
Extremely good patch colour match and texture match. You cannot tell where the fixes are. I went over a few cars that they had just finished, and all were the same. They do pretty good work here.
I wouldn’t hesitate to have them do work on any of my cars here.
