I found Scott originally on Unilocal because we didn’t know who to hire to help us with the case. My husband and I cannot say enough positive things about Scott. Going through the bankruptcy process is a very complex, emotionally draining and long process however with Scott, the whole process has been none of those things. Scott really understands the process, and made sure to work with us on any questions or concerns that we had. After sitting through the first meeting in front of the trustee, and listening to other people’s lawyers, Scott is hands down the best lawyer you could work with on your bankruptcy.

We hired Mr. Hutchinson in early 2011 to represent us in filing for bankruptcy. I had interviewed two other attorneys in Portland prior to selecting him. Mr. Hutchinson is a very professional and knowledgeable attorney. The filing process went very smoothly for and we were discharged successfully. We are very happy that we found him.
It was very clear throughout the process that Mr. Hutchinson knows the local bankruptcy court system well. He seems to be on good terms with most of the trustees. He was very organized and has a very professional and friendly staff. Based on my research, his rates were in par with what other attorneys charge in Portland.
He is very, very detail oriented — this is something you want in a bankruptcy attorney (IE if an attorney makes any mistakes on your petition, it can end up costing you a lot of money.) Be advised that he will require you to do a fair amount of work on your end to make sure everything is accounted for so that he can represent you in the best way possible, all of this this will help greatly in the discharge.
In summary, we highly recommend this attorney.
