I have never had a more negative dental experience than I did at Willamette Dental. I will never go back here or recommend them. My insurance changed so I picked Willamette Dental to switch to. They seemed professional and they have easy scheduling. Supposedly. The negative experience started with their horrible scheduling and call center. I called and was put on hold for 5 – 10 minutes. I’ve never had to be on hold with a dentist’s office before. I didn’t even end up scheduling an appointment because I didn’t have my insurance info (my bad!). So I call back and sit on hold again the next day and their call drops midway through my conversation because they were having technical difficulties (not their fault, I suppose). So back on hold I go. I make my appointment and give them my insurance information (I even called my insurance company first to verify benefits). So the whole call center thing is very negative and wasted so much time.
Finally the day of my appointment comes. I arrive and the front desk can’t verify my benefits. They said they don’t have my information (even though I gave it to the call center) and they haven’t heard back from my insurance. I scheduled the appointment several weeks in advance, why was this so last minute? They try calling insurance with no luck and I eventually decide to call my insurance myself. They are nothing but super helpful and easily verify my insurance, so I hand my phone to the receptionist so she can talk to her. I’m not sure why I was able to do this but she couldn’t. But by now I’m 30 minutes behind schedule making me late for work.
They referred me to a specialist outside the organization for some follow up work and they won’t even give the contact information to me. I either needed to schedule right there or call back through their horrible call center and schedule. I won’t be doing either or coming back here.
I give them 2 stars only because the hygienist and Dr. seemed knowledgeable and were friendly. I’m going to find a local, family dentist that can provide positive customer service.

I’m very pleased with the care I’ve received here. In my experience, the front office is efficient, I get called back on time, the hygienists are quick and professional, and the dentists are great.
I’ve not had any major work done, so I can’t speak to the quality of anything substantial. I’ll update down the road if I need to have a tooth yanked out or get a root canal.
Let’s hope I don’t have to write that update!

What a fantastic group of people. Just went here for my first time for an annual cleaning. The hygienist Elina was so careful and gentle on my gums. Most pain free cleaning I can recall.

This has to be the best Dentist office I’ve ever been to! I cannot believe any negative reviews. Seriously every single person I’ve interacted with in my years here has been exceedingly nice and caring. I always get in and out quickly, and leave with a big smile.
I even had an impacted wisdom tooth, I got in the next day and they were able to pull it right then and there with almost no pain. I was scared to death because I had never had a tooth pulled before, but they were so calm and patient with me, I am no longer afraid of the dentist! I actually look forward to coming here because of how sweet everyone is. I highly recommend this place!

I love this place and I love my doc. I don’t know why people have a hard time understanding orthodontics. You could see three different doctors and receive three entirely different plans of treatment. There are a dozen ways to correct a smile. I imagine it’s especially hard to finish another doctor’s work. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here. I got my braces on in April and my teeth are moving fast. The staff is so kind and friendly! The staff actually merged all my appointments so that I didn’t have to keep wasting gas as I am driving from very far away. This location is wonderful. I never have issues getting an appointment when I need one. The one in Salem is garbage.

I was seen in the 2 office years ago and still remember my horrible experience. After waiting for over 2 hours, numerous check-​ins with the front desk, a dental hygienist came out and told me «oops– I forgot all about you! I’ve just been eating my lunch». After this horrific experience, I am now being charged $ 50 to transfer my X-​rays to a competent dental office. NICE!
Positive note– the NW location was much more organized and saw me quickly for a chipped tooth.

Great experience. Mei and Dr. Chan were both great. Mei took the time to explain everything and was friendly.

If your case is at all complex, don’t go to this group! Trying to navigate between them and the insurance company, Aetna, has been a nightmare. This is a huge bureaucracy of a dental group, and no one seems to talk with anyone else. You can never get through to the person you actually need to talk with. I asked them to send dental records to another provider when my daughter moved, and it cost me $ 20, and then they didn’t even send it to the correct address, though I had provided it to them in writing! They just stuck the records in an envelope, and just put the name of the dentist and the town – no street address. Why didn’t they call me to ask me what the address was, if they had lost it? It took about 3 weeks for the records to get to the new provider, and then I learn that the records were incomplete. I could say more, but basically, just avoid this group.

My son was seeing orthdontists at Willamet Dental Group in Corvallis and Beaverton over 2 years. They pulled off 2 of my son’s teeth and he wore braces. After over 2 years there are still huge gaps between teeth. We moved to California and we needed to find a new orthodontist for him. We saw 2 different orthodontists for initial consultation and both said, «Huge gaps after 2 years? Why did they pull off 2 teeth??» I’ve got an impression that pulling off two teeth was unnecessary and my son’s teeth were shifting too slowly. I had to pay another full bill to a new orthodontist but he was confident to get it done within one year. Maybe it was good thing that we changed an orthodontist.

Thanks to Dr Evan I am no longer afraid of the dentist. I had gone to a dentist a year ago who told me my gums were unhealthy, i had a bunch of cavities and needed about $ 1400 dollars of dental work (that’s with insurance). I have always taken great care of my teeth so i was hesitant to have any of the work done by that dentist. I now have to go to Willamette Dental through my insurance so I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Evan at the NE Weidler office after reading positive Unilocal reviews of him. I sat down with Dr. Evan at the beginning of my appointment and told him my concerns. I felt comfortable with him even before any work was done. I had x-​rays done and then Haley cleaned my teeth. She was very nice and I had a thorough pain free cleaning. After my cleaning Dr. Evan showed me my x-​rays and explained that I was in excellent dental health and in no need of the work that was claimed to be «needed» by this previous dentist. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. I was very happy with my overall appointment. I did have to wait about 6 weeks for an appointment with him but it was worth the wait!
