PHENOMINAL! I recently moved to the neighborhood and was pleased to see that this hair braiding place was around the corner from me. We just got hit with 24 inches of snow the day before so I was impressed to see that they were open the next day at 9 am. I am VERY pleased with my box braids. I wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to latch on to my short hair in the back(I’m growing my hair out from a big chop) but they did a great job. It took about 4 – 5 hrs to do which was not bad due to only one person working on my head. The place is very clean and they have a cooler with drinks. They also have hair if you don’t bring yours. They’re extremely reasonable with pricing and they pay close attention to detail. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my experience and will be a faithful customer.

My #1 favorite go to hair braiding salon. I have been coming here since the week they opened(literally). I came across this salon after leaving another salon after waiting for someone to come in to do my hair. This salon is literally down the street from my house so I decided to give it a try. I am always Leary when trying a new salon for the first time, and this one in particular because they had just opened. But it has turned out to be a win for me. I have gotten my hair braided here more then 10 times and each time I am satisfied. I am very particular when it comes to my hair and they always take the time to listen to my expectations. Even though I am a regular whenever I go they make sure to take care of me like just as they did on day one. I stick to Senegalese twist and box braids which they do quickly and neatly. The shop is of decent size and things are kept neat. They use expressions hair and the hair is included in the price. If your in the neighborhood check them out!

Went here yesterday to have a new set of Senegalese twists done. I normally go to Cisse’s, but I wanted to find a place a bit less expensive, and sometimes the braiders there are in consistent have weird vibes… Anyway, I made an appt but to be honest a lot of braid shops don’t really honor appointments. So I showed up at 10 am and was started right away. All I asked for is for it to not be too tight, and to do the top a bit bigger than the rest. She(Amare?) did an amazing job. It’s not too tight, no bumps on my scalp, no Advil needed. One braider, and it took about 4 ½ to 5 hrs. She also only used 2 packs of hair(I always use Xpression) and I like that it is not super dense, which can sometimes feel heavy and limit up-do styles. This place is right up the street from me, and I will definitely be going back. Btw Senegalese twist start at $ 80 and up.
