This place is like waking in a time machine. Very old and antiquated. The owners don’t speak the best English so there was a bit of a communication barrier. It appears that they do good work from the repairs I saw. I will update my review when I get my shoes back. The price was $ 10.83 to get new stubs put on a 3 inch stiletto heel. Not sure if that’s good or bad but I’m going to try and repair my less expensive shoes myself with a kit I found online. It seems pretty simple!

I was looking for a convenient place from my office to have my boots re-heeled. Well this place is convenient and they are inexpensive. However, I won’t do business there again and recommend you not give them your business. Dropped my boots off and picked them up when promised. Upon getting home I realized that the portion of the heel above the newly placed rubber pad was cracked. I returned to the shop and inquired with the shop keep. He told me that the boots were like that when I brought them in. I didn’t argue as I didn’t have any proof that he was wrong. However, I knew the truth. Now that I am wearing them something feels very wrong. Pulled them off this morning and took a closer look at the heels. The portion above the replaced rubber pad has been ground down unevenly. Fortunately the boots have not been destroyed; I’ll find a more reputable repair shop and have them fixed. You make your own choice. I’ll choose to never give this shop my business again.

This is a great, inexpensive and high-quality clothes alteration and shoe repair shop. We’ve been so lucky to have had them in our neighborhood for 20+ years. Over the years, i’ve taken pants, jeans, dresses, jackets, shoes, a ski bag, and most recently, prom dresses to the Korean lady and her husband. ALL have been impecabbly repaired, hemmed, polished, or whatever else was needed to be done. They don’t speak much English, but they are able to ‘communicate’ what they can do to the items we brought in, when they can do it, and how much it will cost. I cannot say enough good things about this couple. The lady especially has such an eye for detail. Often, when I pick up the item of clothing, I could not find exactly where she’s done the repair as her work is flawless! We’re very blessed to have them in our neighborhood. Just watch the traffic coming in to this unassuming storefront, especially around the holidays. You’ll see long gowns and fancy dresses all lined up waiting to be altered. You can always expect them to do great work!

I had a small cross body purse that broke where the chain strap meets the purse. I brought it in to the bedford shoe repair and tailor seeing that it is a small issue that should be easily taken care of. The lady, which is the only lady I’ve seen there out of the three times I’ve been there, was very short with me and told me to come back in three days which I did. The purse was fixed but it appeared to have been tampered with on the other side. I asked her and she said she had to see how to put it together. Not two weeks later it broke again and so I returned and asked her to fix the broken side again and to go ahead and do the same to the other side just in case the same might happen. She did not charge me but for the side that was not broken which I was ok with. Three weeks later the first initially broken one broke yet again. I was not upset but decided to try once more. I went in and said that it was just not working with the material she used to try and fix it with. All she said was«no more» and nothing else. I simply walked out very upset and disappointed. I would Not Recommend going there. She was very unfriendly and unwilling to help me when in fact I feel that she contributed to the further issue with the purse.
