Surprise! The business has closed for good. Imagine my disappointment when I arrived this morning to find an empty store front! The phone number and the email have been deactivated. I guess no one at the company thought it was a good idea to make it public knowledge that they closed for good. Talk about an annoying way to start the day…

I’m giving this place a 5 star funeral. Drove by and saw its no longer open. Though it was great — big cookies and great service. Fairwell

Food is better than average and the service is fine but the prices are 20−25% too high. Café Lago is 10 min from here and a much better value and experience.

First the positive, nice location. Very clean. Easy to get to. Nice patio area. Upscale interior furniture and ambiance. Very nice display of their baked goods(would prefer a non-handwritten label that’s easier to read). On the negative side, very few parking spaces. Poor to no signage. Condiments and flatware are organized on a serving table no better than what you find at Whataburger. Nothing but a little vase with tiny plastic flowers on the table. We walked in and were greeted with a ‘Hello’ by the blonde girl behind the counter across the room. There were some menus on a small table near the door but no signs saying, ‘Please seat yourself’. No hostess stand. Nothing.(The cashier behind the counter said nothing to acknowledge our hesitancy or offer anything like ‘Go ahead and sit wherever you’d like’ or ‘Can I help you?’ to help us out.) We sat down with our menus and I lost my appetite right away. Sainthood must cost a lot these days because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. They wanted $ 9.50 for a ham and cheese omelette and $ 3.50 for 2 scrambled eggs(a la carte) and another $ 3.50 for a cinnamon roll that was only the size of a baseball and nothing to write home about. We were sitting with our menus for more than 5 minutes and were looking around for a waitress to take our order but one never appeared. The cashier was watching us the whole time and never spoke up to ask us if we needed help or to inform us we needed to go to the counter to order. We finally realized we needed to go to the counter to place our order and did so. The eggs turned out to be something poured out of a carton, not fresh, and were served with a bit of attitude on the side by the cashier who simply said, ‘Yeah’ when my girlfriend thanked her. Granted, the prices may be comparable to IHOP’s but there I get greeted, seated, and waited on. The condiments and flatware are already on the table and I get a side of pancakes with practically everything I order. It’s served fresh and hot, not warmed up in the microwave. On top of that I always get a friendly smile and a’ Thank you!’ as I’m leaving. Not impressed with this place.

Went in for a quick lunch with my son, and we spent a fortune. Our impression of the place was that it was WAY overpriced, and the food should have been gourmet for that much money. The food wasn’t bad, it just should have left us wanting to come back for more because the food was so amazing. Unfortunately, it didn’t. We both said we would never go back. Maybe it is more of a coffee place with pastries or something. I would not recommend it for lunch.

Great place for a late family breakfast. The children loved the chocolate chip pancakes. The menu ranges from biscuits and sausage gravy to specialties only found here. Nice extra: live music!

Went in this morning with the bad reviews in mind, determined to have a good time and prove the Unilocal consensus wrong. I wanted to like this place, but… yikes. My girlfriend and I visited Two Saints because it’s across the street from the Hillcountry Galleria, so the location is convenient, and because they serve breakfast, which few places around here do. Upon walking in, I generally liked the décor and the fact that they had some good breakfast/brunch items on the menu, reasonably priced. So far so good. The baked goods in the glass case to the right of the ordering area looked good too. Alright, here goes. Well, we walk up, order what we think is a simple meal(Blueberry pancake plate, which comes with eggs and bacon, and an egg crossaint, which may even be pre-made to save time) and add a coffee onto the tab. Price register clings: $ 24. A little more expensive than expected, but all is well — we’re trying somewhere new, and I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. We are handed a number and grab a seat on the corner by some windows. The décor is very ‘stock’ for a bakery café, but it looks nice. The place is clean and has nice natural light and plenty of room, in sharp contrast to the French crêpe place nearby that’s always packed and full of dingy IKEA furniture. Things seems alright. Now just to wait for the food. Coffee(a mocha latte) comes out first, a few minutes after ordering. Girlfriend takes a sip and grimaces — really bitter stuff. Kinda tastes like old coffee, or burnt. Again, I’ll be forgiving — some places like their mochas less sweet and chocolatey. Time to wait for what we came for: the food. 10 minutes go by. Nothing. 15. 20. 30. 40 minutes. No food. At this point, a band had set up by the double doors in front to play Beatles cover songs, so the atmosphere is reasonably entertaining and I’m sort of avoiding checking my watch to see what time it is. We’re not far from the front counter, so I’m assuming that, with our number still sitting at our table, the staff here knows we’ve been here for a bit. 45 minutes. No food. People have come and gone by now, people who ordered much more complicated stuff. I get up to ask the friendly girl at the counter what the deal is. Apparently, our food order was ‘lost’ and she has to take down the order again — they haven’t even started. The girl, who is very nice, seems mortified and offers to throw in a free muffin. A nice gesture, but $ 25 for a plate of food and a latte and an hour of waiting, I’m kinda wanting a refund. Still, to prove the Unilocal reviewers(and my girlfriend, at this point) wrong, I hang in there, determined to have a positive experience. I smile and return to the table, letting my girlfriend know the situation. She’s not happy, with no food and a half-full mocha that neither she nor I want to touch at this point. The Beatles cover band finishes their set and leaves. The people across from us remark about the wait for our food — surely we can’t have been there THAT long, right? Surely, after having told them we’d been there an hour, they’ll rush out our food, right? We think so. 5 more minutes go by. 10. 15. At this point, we’ve waited so long that leaving empty handed seems like a crushing defeat. «Hang in there, Ben» I’m telling myself. Food arrives, over an hour after ordering. Hallelujah. I look down at the plate, hungry. Yeeeesh. Blueberry pancakes look standard, but not particularly appetizing. Kinda like the ones you microwave to heat up. There’s 1.5 pieces of bacon on my plate, and two ‘over medium’ eggs. Fork goes through the eggs and part of the egg white spills out — they’re not cooked through. Alright, pass on that. I grab another plate from the nice girl upfront(who seems to be trying to right the wrongs of the kitchen, but she’s just one person!) and transfer the bacon and pancakes over to a clean plate. Bacon takes all of 5 seconds to eat the one and a half small pieces. In three minutes, the meal is done. Food was about Denny’s quality, maybe a bit higher. And, don’t get me wrong, I like Denny’s — but a Grand Slam costs $ 6, comes with more stuff, and is out in about 7 minutes. This meal costs over twenty bucks, took the greater part of an hour, and made us hungry about thirty minutes later, because half of it wasn’t properly prepared. It’s the kind of thing where you look down at your food and think, «I could’ve done this better if I’d just made it at home an hour ago.» The short story? We’re not going back. I wanted to like this place. I promise I did. Especially because the staff seemed so nice. But problem after problem after problem, ending in mediocre, partly inedible food was just too much. I’m a very optimistic guy, and I have to encourage my girlfriend a lot of the time to try new things — maybe she’ll be nicely surprised, I like to think. This time around, we were unpleasantly(but sadly, expectedly) disappointed. 2/5, only because the people were friendly.

Very average food, below average overpriced baked goods and mediocre service. I’ve been here twice and both times was still filled with regret that the former occupant Bountiful Bakery wasn’t still here. On my first visit I asked for a hot chocolate and was told they don’t sell hot chocolate. Never mind the fact that the coffee bar with milk, chocolate syrup, whip cream, and flavorings was right in front of me. I asked them to steam some milk and add syrup and then answer was a resounding no. After giving them a second chance today I’m waiving the white flag. I won’t be back.

I wouldn’t go back. We spent $ 30 for some mediocre food and lattes that I thought were horrible. They also only serve full breakfast which was disappointing as we went on a Monday(Labor Day). However the lady running the register was nice. For the price and quality of food next time I will go elsewhere.

Came in for breakfast. Just OK. Potatoes came out cold. Omelets were overcooked, but I could see that they could be good. I would chalk it up to being a new place. Cupcakes look good, but did not want any for breakfast.

SEVERELYUNDERSTAFFED! Never in my life have I paid ANDTIPPED for something and had to leave without it. The poor girl who was taking orders at the register had a harem of people to appease and absolutely ZERO help! I had been in the bakery for a total of 15 minutes, was the second to order and was waiting as she had to take care of the people behind me. Nothing was able to be made or worked; it was ridiculous. Then another girl walks up like we had all the time in the world and starts flattening her mass amount of tickets to get started on and I told her I had to go; I had a meeting and completely without regard she gave me a dirty looked backed with the brainless mentality that led to the event. Disastrous. Fire your dead weight and promote the girl who can handle your entire dining room and give her some GOODHELP.

I think we had beginners luck the first time we came here as we went back and they messed up half our order, forgot our coffee and generally seemed apathetic. Then I went in for a to go order and the credit card machine was broken which threw the already taxed and untrained staff into a tizzy. The quiche I got seemed as if it weren’t very fresh. Not sure why this site attracts ill equipped local businesses, but this is no longer sleepy little Bee Cave circa 2000. These business owners need to step it up!

This is a great place for brunch! I am so happy there is a good place for brunch in the area. The seating area is nice and not crowded in, the staff was very polite and helpful, and I am FULL of yummy food. Hooray for pancakes! BONUS: They have loose leaf tea AND tasty fresh snacky foods from their onsite bakery. I caught a glimpse of one of the cakes headed out and will be ordering one from here soon for myself. The cake was very pretty. With the WIFI and outdoor seating, I plan to do some outdoor office hours here too once the weather cools off. The menu is full of noms I want to try. Good prices too. Side note: I read a few of the other reviews before coming here and now I’m wondering if they were at the same shop. lol This place is great, the food is fresh and tasty, and the prices are fair. And if someone wants to compare these cookies with Pepperidge(processed) Farms bag of who-knows-how-old cookies then they are at the wrong place. lol Cookies baked fresh onsite will cost you a little more than bagged cookies, sillyhead, and they are worth it. Nom nom nom.

I was looking for the 1213 reviews, cause something is missing here. We come here while camping out at Pace Bend a lot, as it’s the only place that’s decent in the area for breakfast! They do have good food for sure, when it’s cooked right and your order is correct. But the staff is young and eagerly trying, but barely keeping above water. Such a sham — someone get in there and help these kids! Cause if they could work that out, then I’d give it a 5 star!

This coffee shop-café-bakery is a quaint spot, tucked in to a shopping area. Can you say perfect? The ambiance and over all atmosphere is like a mini vacation from the hustle and bustle of life. All I can think about, at this very moment, is the Hot White Mocha I enjoyed on their patio on a crisp Saturday morning, while sitting accross from my love, who was enjoying a well portioned omelette. Total bliss. Love the food. Love the people. Love this place.
