Way to go! Finally a place with great service and great food and nice pairings of wine. Our waiter was Tim who nailed every aspect of night out with no kids. This will be a great place to meet friends before a movie! Thank you for the great service.

We saw this place on Unilocal and drove down from Temple to visit. We could not have been more pleased. Tim, Deven and Train were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My wife and I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in wines, oils or vinegars!

Came here tonight expecting my #24 wine on the menu, only to find it marked out with a black marker and discontinued. Then I ordered the cheese and charcurtrie platter, only to be disappointed at the absent and discontinued dried fruits, almonds and portions!!! A non-repeatable experience due to the limited and ever changing wine selection. Will not be coming back! The Grove is so much better for the price!

Over priced wine and food. Not very impressed with either. However, olive oil selection is good. But I won’t be going back.

Saw one review dinging them for a $ 6.50 a taste. For almost half of an $ 18 glass of amazing Pinot what would you expect! Wines are unique, bites are really amazing and the atmosphere is totally Austin cool. The staff is a family and very attentive. Totally worth a try. Oh they also sell some amazing olive oils that alone are worth the trip!

I stopped in after a job interview for lunch and a glass of wine. Angela immediately welcomed me with a smile and offered a quick run down of the olive oils and other items. Their wine list is average, but most of the wines available are from boutique vineyards and a special treat(basically can’t get anywhere else local). Lovely atmosphere and good company. I enjoyed the prosciutto, goat cheese, and fig panini(sp?) and a glass of Light Horse chardonnay. I will definitely me back.

Like some of the other reviewer’s I thought the wine was somewhat overpriced, but given the location that’s somewhat expected. We had one of the hummus plates which was quite good as was the wine. However, the service was awful. My wife and I came in and sat down and waited for almost 10 minutes while the three employees hung out behind the bar talking. There were only about 6 parties in the bar at the time. I finally went up and asked for a couple of menus. We were finally served our wine and appetizer and after finishing that we wanted to order a second glass. Again, we couldn’t get any service. In frustration I went to the bar and asked for my check. It’s a shame because it’s a nice idea and great location, but based on our first experience I doubt we’ll go back.

We Olive delivers on multiple levels. Having popped in for wine with friend after work, we were immediately greeted and overall the service was prompt and kind. The infused olive oil is amazing and having the ability to taste all of the goodies while browsing is delicious and fun. I also enjoy all of the unique spreads that are available. The pulled duck flatbread is delicious and highly recommended.

The wine list is sparse and unimpressive. The atmosephere is decorative, bright, and reminds me of my grandma’s house. The bar staff is unengaged and inattentive. I made eye-contact with 3 people here before actually getting someone to acknowledge I wanted a glass of wine.(Come on! This is a wine bar. What else would I be here for??) Oh, and the big reason for the 1 star(*): $ 6.50 for a tasting!!! Are you out of your damn mind? A tasting is usually complimentary — just to make sure the glass of wine you’re buying isn’t terrible. And by the way, the glass of wine I bought(without a taste first) was kind of terrible. Guess I should have coughed up the $ 6.50!

Skimpy pour The 6 oz sure isn’t 6 oz, so get the sample or a bottle, however the atmosphere doesn’t rate staying to polish off a bottle. Weren’t encouraged to peruse the shop or menu.

I don’t know how BFF heard about this place, but he loves to experiment with food and wanted to check out all the olive oils and vinegars. As I am usually the happy recipient of his food creations, I could not refuse the somewhat long trek out to the Galleria. As soon as we walked in, we were encouraged by Jen to sample all we wanted, and there’s TONS of stuff to sample, from olive oils to sauces and mustards to caramel toppings. The olive oils are accompanied by chunks of bread and little plastic communion cups for tasting. BFF and I giddily raced around shoving these in our mouths like we were trying to save our foodie souls. The stand outs for me were the basil and garlic infused oils and I had to have a bottle of the jalapeño, which tasted so fresh and green on the bread, but when drunk straight, scalded my throat in good, spicy way. When you buy their oils, they will fill a bottle for you, $ 22 for small, $ 30 for LG, and you can bring these back for cheap refills when done. Another fantastic find for me was the flavored smoked brown sugar. I canNOT wait to give the whiskey flavored brown sugar to my BBQ pro chef friend. That shit could be a game changer at competitions. I got the chile version for myself. It’ll make a great salmon rub. BFF and I worked up an appetite shopping and we were curious about the wine bar and food as well. BFF is still on the wagon but he kindly looked away as I perused the wine list. Jen gave me a sample of their«mimosa» which was bubbly mixed with their white peach balsamic and it was awesome, but I ordered a glass of rose and then pinot noir, both great and super cheap for HH. For dinner, we started with an Antonelli’s cheese plate that also had black truffle and chianti(?) salamis($ 5 off for HH) and we ordered a bowl of olives(also sold at Antonellis). I am not much of an olive eater, unless stuffed with blue cheese and soaked in vodka, but these gorgeous green globes(SEESOULTEMPTINGPIC) were buttery and smooth, not bitter at all. Had me exclaiming(too loudly?) «I just wanna suck the pit!!». Jen also highly recommended the arugula salad and she was so right. It came with blue cheese, almonds and dried apricots(and added chicken) and was dressed in that delectable white peach balsamic. I eat salads EVERYDAY for lunch and am less than enthused to eat one again for dinner, but this combo of flavors had me moaning and squirming in my seat. AND, I actually felt healthy after eating! Needless to say, BFF and I had a great time eating at the bar and chatting with Jen and Michael. We Olive originated in California and this is the first location outside of that state and the first to offer a food menu. We were impressed not only with the retail goods but also with all the food and drink we consumed. I can’t wait to empty my bottle so I can return for more!

Overpriced, unimpressive wine list, and horrible customer service. We had a reservation and were basically kicked out for another group coming in. They couldn’t even manage to get us olives because next group was coming in 35 minutes??? How long does it take to clean up wine glasses? Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

They haven’t even had their official grand opening yet and We Olive has received a great reception in the Hill Country Galleria, Texas! As far as olive oil places go(more and more keep popping up during the past few years), O-love We Olive! The bomb! Has a HUGE selection compared to others that might have 4 or 5. They carry approx. 50 different types of olive oils… oh, and I must mention the 35+ different vinegars as well! Wow! And, you can choose one olive oil or create a custom combo and they will bottle it for you in a variety of sizes. I recommend mixing the Meyer Lemon and Basil = delish! And…they have wine! You can do a tasting — each pour for a separate price. Good value. Or enjoy a full glass. Or, if you prefer, how about a nice cold local brew on tap? There’s something for everyone in this inviting storefront: in addition to the aforementioned there are lots of obligatory wine-related chotskies, Texas memorabilia, and other bottled goodies — um… Bacon Spread. yup! Didn’t have any«real» food while I was there so can’t comment on that… yet! In other reviews the food sounds great, so next time! TIP: Their official grand opening EVENT is July 18, 19, &20. There will be olive oil classes(limited seating), book signings, and live music. Stop on by!

We Olive certainly left an impression on me with its very friendly and welcoming staff as well as the unique flavors their food brings together! My co-worker and I came across this little gem when on our way to frozen yogurt. I wanted something small and semi-light like a cheese board. When walking in we were greeted immediately and welcomed. The staff is beyond friendly and gave us the history of We Olive. This is the only location in Texas! I ordered the dip duo so picked the«smoked albacore tuna dip» and the«black olive and blood orange hummus.» OMG total enjoyment of every single flavor I got out of these dips! The assortment of pita chips, crackers and fresh veggies made this dip just enough for one person who didn’t want to share(me!). I would totally go back to try their selection of hand-chosen wines that rotate to keep the variety available. The prices are reasonable and in-line with everyone else it seems. Thanks for a great first time We Olive! Oh and be sure to check out their Cali olive oils and spreads, etc in the store part of this venue!

We Olive is a combo store, they have a wine bar, pour some Texas taps, sell a nice selection of olive oils & balsamic vinegars and prepared food using those products. You don’t have to love all three of these to enjoy this store. You could easily come in and dine in for salad, just do a wine tasting or sample all the tasty dips and sauces but why… when you can have it all! Bee Caves is a trek for me so when I do need to go I try to enjoy other shops in the area and make a trip of it. We Olive is unique to the HCG and in my opinion a good addition. While I do think the prepared menu items are a bit steep, the wine price point is decent and the other products are also comparable to other olive oil/vinegar type shops. They have unique item like bacon spread and delicious oils such as the mission fig and the Meyer lemon. Debra was working solo when I stopped in and she did a great job of greeting customers, pouring wine and preparing food. I am certain Super Women is her other side job. She let me taste two wines before I committed to the Albarino and recommended the house kale salad for lunch. The house kale salad is a nice portion of shredded kale, aged gouda. dried cherries soaked in their aged balsamic and delicious pecans. The dressing is Arbequina olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar. The flavor of the salad was well balanced between the smoky gouda, dry cherries and tangy balsamic. They also serve small bites, panini sandwiches, flatbreads, hummus and their signature ice cream. Amy’s Ice Cream with sea salt and fig balsamic vinegar. yes please! My only beef is the kale salad was $ 18 with albacore added, and the fishe seemed more can like than fresh but with that said it was one delicious salad! We Olive is a great place to window shop/sample, grab lunch or find your new favorite wine. Service was excellent and the space comfortable. It is a must place to check out when in the HCG.

This is the first We Olive store outside of California. The wine bar is very nice — plenty of seating; good selection of wines; several beers on draft; and some very good food. The two items we tried, the Stuffed Peppadews and the Green Olive, Ricotta, and Kale Flatbread, were excellent. The tart peppers were perfectly balanced with cream cheese and salami. Looking forward to going back and eating some more of those. They have a wide selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. A friend of ours in California loves the We Olive near her — glad we got one in Austin(well, Bee Cave).
