We had the catfish special for lunch recently. The fish was more like very small bites of tough fish, not fillets like you would assume. The other major issue was that it was a smoking restaurant with a non smoking section. The cook or owner was smoking when we walked in. This is a real turn off for me. I hope their other meal offerings are better because it is otherwise a decent place.

It is a quaint place with humble country offerings. It was surprisingly pleasing for being the only restaurant near the Nolin Lake area. Like what the previous review mentioned, it is locals place where they do still have a smoking eating area. Our waitress was friendly and the orders came out fairly quickly. I recommend the fried pickles and fried okra.

Wonderful find in the middle of no where near Nolin lake! We mapped restaurants near us and this was the only one that popped up. No way there were any reviews, we barely had cell service. We really didn’t have a choice so we hoped for the best. We were very pleasantly surprised! The place was filled with locals. They still allow smoking, which can be annoying, but c’mon, it’s THEIR place, way out in the country. I’d have been half disappointed not to see the old guys in there puffin away. Anyway, we had a party of 8, but they had big tables to accommodate. They took our order right away and the menu was filled with good country fixin’s. Everyone ordered something different but we all left very happy. The people were so nice and we were so glad we took a chance!
