Junior Purvis dosent know what he is doing when it comes to permanent makeup. I know of 4 people(including myself) that has had someone else do the procedure over again or just entirely fix his mistake. I ask him for his help and he was even going to charge me more just to «touch up(as he calls it)». There is a lady on Washington Street that has been these permanent makeups for 20 years. She knows what she’s doing. She only charges $ 225. And will help in anyway she can if its something you dont like. She will enen go as far as not charging you for someone else’s mistakes. Please do yourself a favor go to her and save yourself from time, money, and grief. Need any information about her you can contact me on Facebook(Bobbi Burgess). Junior was going to fix his mistake but wanted more money and wanted me to walk around with what he did with my eyes for over month. Mary the lady on Washington Street did it a week after his screw up. Sincerelly disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone for permanent makeup. After all he is a man and really dosent know what women want when it comes to makeup.

Crystal has done 5 tattoos on me, and 2 on my wife in the last couple months. Beautiful work, I couldn’t be happier. This is a nice shop with great network of supportive employees. I would recommend Altered Image to anyone.

All of the tattoo artists here do excellent work. I personally have had many large tattoos done by Junior Purvis. The shop is very clean and inviting and the staff are all very cool and nice to talk to. I highly recommend getting any tattoo or piercing at the Beech Grove Altered Image.

Matt pierced my nose and was very friendly and professional. This is definitely where I will go for any piercings and I would recommend Matt to anyone!

Utterly disgusted. Came here 4 years ago and the piercer was fantastic. Came here today and it was all downhill from there. My best friend is looking for an artist to do her fourth tattoo, it’s absolutely beautiful piece my other friend drew for her. She came in to get prices and the artist figured about $ 300 for a thigh piece the size of her hand which was an expected price, and figured about two sessions which was a bit strange for me to here because I have big pieces that have been done in one session even of it meant sitting in the chair for 12 hours. He then continued to say $ 300 for each session. So $ 600 for an already drawn easy tattoo the size of a females hand. WAY overpriced. I’m assuming he thought it was her first and that I didn’t have any because it’s cold outside and we were covered up. She still wanted to get her nose re-done and the sign in the window says $ 25. So she signed the paper work. The guy checked her nose out, ect. Went to the room and the guy told her to lay down. To lay down. I have never seen a regular nostril piercing being done while laying down. So I was weired out. I have two nostril rings and never had to lay down. So he did the marking and I assumed she would bleed a little because of scar tissue and this situation become hell. Usually a piercing takes no more than two minutes to get done anyone who has a nostril piercing would know this. Well, he couldn’t get it the jewelry in. So instead of taking the needle out and asking if she wanted to stop he sat there for ten minutes twisting and prodding her nose. She bled and incredible amount and it was hurting her. He was shaking violently through the entire process. After ten gruesome minutes and me being mad and holding my tounge he got it in. When he was done he asked if that was OK and we were obviously mad. Instead of giving her the piercing for free he charged her $ 33 and she has a swollen, infected nose. I wish we would of walked out and not payed but both of us are two kind hearted. Tonight I’m trying to ge a hold of the owner for a refund. Never, ever come here. If you have a piercer make sure he is trained in what he is doing. I wouldn’t even give this place a star but it is required.

I like this place, but I’m sooooo happy and excited for Chris Taylor because he opened his own shop! My experience with Altered has always been good, but Ink Therapy is so much nicer! It’s cleaner and in a nicer area. Call Chris Taylor at Ink Therapy for your next session! You’ll be glad you did!

My sister and I had matching tattoos done by Jose Flores and we had a really awesome experience. For starters, he changed his schedule and came in 3 hours earlier than he normally does on Labor Day in order to do our tattoos since that was the only day we were free at the same time. His space was really clean and he made sure to show us that everything he was using on us was brand new, wiped down everything multiple times, and must have changed his gloves a dozen times during the process. Our tattoos were really simple but he did a really great job and they are healing up quickly and easily. I have had comments from people with lots of tattoos saying how nice the linework is and asking who did it. I can’t speak about any of the other artists since we only talked to and had work done by Jose, but he was great and the shop overall seemed clean. Pricing was extremely reasonable for really well done tattoos and my husband ended up making an appointment to have a bigger piece done by Jose later in the month.
