All About Cookies

Do not order from here! I ordered a lemon cake with lemon filling for my dad’s surprise 70^th birthday party. I also sent specific photos of what I wanted and followed that up with a phone conversation. While I was disappointed when I picked up the cake because it looked nothing like what I had requested, I took the cake anyway because the party for over 50 people was in 3 hours and I had no backup plan for the cake. The following morning, I messaged the owner, following is the thread. Absolutely appalling for a business owner to treat a paying customer this way.
ME: Hello — while the cake that you made was nice, it was not what I ordered. In phone conversations, I asked for a lemon cake with lemon filling (my dad’s favorite). You can imagine my surprise when I cut into my father’s 70^th birthday cake and it was chocolate with chocolate filling. The top layer was vanilla with strawberry filling??? I also specifically asked that the cake resemble pics 2 & 3, one layer and simple and that ‘Happy 70^th Angelo’ be written on the cake board. Instead, a banner was placed on top of the cake. Also, I was surprised to see that some of the decorations were not edible. How do you tell a bunch of kids that they can’t eat parts of the cake? Very disappointed, please let me know how we can rectify this situation. Again, while the cake was fine, the baker/​decorator clearly didn’t listen to anything I said and I ended up paying for something that I did not order. Unfortunately, the party started within 3 hours of the time I picked up the cake and I was in a bind and had to take it.
ALL ABOUT COOKIES: We do not give refunds. You specifically said chocolate chocolate and strawberry at the top I have this on a sheet from conversation and NO ONE eats sculptures. I’m sorry for your disappointment, you loved the cake when you picked it up. You excepted it. I have to be paid for work that was done and cakes are very time consuming.
ME: Wow, there is NO way I would have ordered a chocolate cake when my dad loves lemon. Perhaps something fell through the cracks on your end. And my children are allergic to strawberry so I definitely did not order that. I understand how time consuming it is to prepare a cake, while I ‘accepted’ not ‘excepted’ the cake, I had no choice as the surprise party was in 3 hours. Please let me know if you are able to do anything to correct this. I’m not expecting a full refund, but I don’t think it’s fair that I had to pay over $ 100 for something that I did not ask for.

ME: As I said, I did not ask for a full refund. I simply asked that you work with me to correct a mistake that you made. Expecting that the cake be returned is simply not reasonable. I will make sure to communicate my experience to everyone I know in Harford County.

I don’t need threats you paid for a cake that you accepted period. If you were not happy when you saw it then you should have not accepted. We do not give refunds period.

I wasn’t sure about the flavor of the cookies the first time I tried them. But now I’m addicted. I love the chocolate chip cookies! And the sugar ones are pretty good too. Defiantly worth a try. I have seen pictures of custom cookies and cakes they have done and they look nice. The staff is nice and they had special stuff at valentines day chocolate covered strawberries! Nice to place stop for a treat in Bel Air.

I am surprised there aren’t any reviews here yet! Since I found out about this place, I had been dying to go. I finally got to stop by during an extended lunch break and experienced the glory of being basked in the aroma of freshly baked cookies. If you like the kind of cookies that are thin, hard, and crunchy — this place isn’t for you. They heap their cookie dough onto the pans in mounds that create thick, moist yet crumbly, delectable cookies.
I ordered two of every cookie they had available at that time. From what I remember, that included snicker doodle, peanut butter, peanut butter dipped in chocolate, peanut butter with marshmallow, double chocolate, chocolate with peanut butter chips, cheese cake, snicker yums, white chocolate, red velvet, and heath. My favorites from these are the cheesecake, chocolate cookie with peanut butter chips, and the sugar cookie. My husband especially liked the snicker yums. The staff was very friendly and I certainly plan on going back.
I do have two complaints, but I don’t think they are worth lowering my rating. The red velvet cookie tasted strange… not quite sure how to explain the flavor but I would not order it again. My husband also thought the cookie didn’t taste right. In addition, when I opened the box of cookies at home, I learned my order wasn’t fulfilled and I did not get two of every cookie. Even though they were available, I didn’t get any of the chocolate chunk, chocolate chunk with walnut, or chocolate chunk with m&ms. I was pretty disappointed at the time but sure it was an honest mistake.
Overall, I really enjoyed the cookies and can’t wait to go back! Thank you for opening up!
