Just Dental

Dr. Melanie Tongoc is phenomenal! Before visiting the Just Dental at the Bell Gardens location, I couldn’t remember a single visit to the dentist that I enjoyed.
A quick example of how Dr. Tongoc sets herself apart from others: when I visited another dentist in 2013, I was told that my front tooth (successfully repaired almost a decade ago for a small chip) would require a $ 1000+ veneer/​crown. It was slightly discolored, but there was no way that I was going to pay $ 1000 out-​of-​pocket for a purely aesthetic repair. Just today I visited Dr. Tongoc, who empathized with the fact that I am just a poor student living off of student loans. Instead of even suggesting a ridiculously expensive treatment, she offered to work with my insurance and do a completely free (i.e. covered by insurance) repair using a simple composite versus an expensive veneer. The result? I can’t even tell the tooth was ever chipped. There’s obviously no guarantee that she’ll be able to find similar alternatives to other expensive treatments, but the fact that she was even willing to try is truly refreshing. Other dentists in the past have just shrugged and sent me on my way!
Finally, she is very personable and technically capable; cleanings are somewhat painful for me sometimes, but I didn’t feel a thing with her. I will definitely be returning to Just Dental and Dr. Tongoc in the future!

Dr. Do is the best ever… the staff is very friendly. The office is cheerful and clean and his fees are most reasonable. I’m thrilled with my bridge and 6 crowns. My sister, her boyfriend and I are his patients… so far.

The ambient is very warm and welcoming and not intimidating in the least.
Dr Melanie is AMAZEBALLS! She’s the one that’s been handling the majority of my care and she is just unbelievable. She has such a soft touch and superb in extractions. So far she’s done 2 extractions on 2 broken teeth. One didn’t even have a shred of bone/​teeth sticking out and the other just had a sliver of tooth/​bone and she took both out really quickly, easily, and dare I say, nearly painlessly. I didn’t even swell up.
But enough about Dr Melanie, Dr Do is also AMAZEBALLS! He clearly explains everything that your mouth needs as well as options as well as clear examples. Amazing guy, amazing dentist :)
For anybody that’s afraid of the dentist (like I was), this is the place for you!

This place is really nice. Smells clean. The receptionist is very very patient and informative. She offered to turn the tv on, was nice and friendly. It’s not noisy even though there were children here. They do not offer braces but they will refer you to someone after you have done the work that needs to be done before putting braces on. Fillings are no more than 100.00 and an x-​Ray is 50.00.
Good music is played nothing too annoying and the décor is very happy and childlike which is different. So colorful makes u feel good. very happy with this place. Will come back.

There’s a difference between those who want to be dentists and those were born to be dentists. Dr. Do was absolutely born to be an amazing dentist!
Customer service: extremely accommodating and took care of my insurance gibber grabber without any issues.
Dental work: by far one of the most gentle and delicate hands to have worked on your teeth. Not only was he thoroughly and meticulous, it wasn’t a painful ordeal!
Added note: he also inquires about your eating and cleaning habits to ensure you don’t have to tet ur with anything severe, aka gum disease or tooth decay. Definitely treating his patients more than just a number.
Highly recommended, I rarely give 5 stars and even forgone my insurance just to go see him. Worth if!

Este lugar es el mejor dentista que yo e ido.
Me encanto el lugar todo esta bien limpio y professional. El doctor, la assistente, y la recepcionista ni se diga. Con ellos luego luego me senti como que yo ya los conocia desde hace mucho tiempo. Son muy hamables y saben como hablar. Me senti bien comoda llendo ahi. Me encanto todo y mas con el trabajo que me hicieron :)
Recomiendo este dentista mil veces!!!

I’ve been going to Dr. Duc Do to get my teeth cleaned for almost 2 years and each time he has made sure that my teeth were thoroughly cleaned. Very pleased with the service! :)
