To be fair, they actually did deliver the screen for the event, so I have to give them a star for that. Unfortunately, they double charged me for it. The promised to refund me the overcharge, but never did. When I called them, they insisted that it was up to me to prove that I didn’t receive the refund, and that if I couldn’t prove it, I’d need to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
The credit card company asked for a copy of the refund slip or even just an email from the business stating that they’d issued a refund. G&G promised to send it but never did.
I filed a consumer complaint against this company. The bureau told me that G&G promised to provide a copy of the refund slip but then failed to do so.
Next stop — small claims court.

Dirt bags these people are. My fault for not reading the Unilocal reviews! Ordered a 12ft screen and popcorn machine for my daughters 16^th birthday party. The delivery kids showed up stoned and had no clue what they were doing, they didn’t even know how far the projector need to be from the screen! the popcorn maker didn’t come they said it fell out of the back of their truck on the freeway and we could just use the credit next time we rent from them!!! They Charged me twice and said it would take 4 days to refund my money, well the refund never came and they would not return my calls or texts! Filled a fraudulent charge with my bank to get my money back!!! They are the cheapest rental company out there and there is a reason why… Do not do business with these crooks!!! Off to file a complaint with BBB now…

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I paid the rental fee for a screen for my daughters Halloween party. They never came, never called. I called, texted, left VM’s, e-mailed…nothing. I finally got a hold of someone and he said sorry and they would refund me. This never happened. I finally called my bank to report FRAUD. I am also going to contact the BBB. The good reviews are obviously friends of his (Gaston Guiterrez). The LLC, Fusion Multimedia LLC, seems to be owned by Gaston Guiterrez who states he is owner of several other small ventures (this is on LinkedIn) so beware of them all. The phone number is a cell phone and the store fronts don’t have a number.

All I really need to say can be done with three words: lousy untrustworthy scam.
It is extremely sad that a business would have the audacity to take advantage of a church event by accepting their payment and not showing up. The pitiful part is that the company did not give any warning before or explanation after to the renter as to why the screen did not show up. However, thanks to the quick thinking of the church event’s organizers, we ended up having a good time.
This disgraceful business has not shown up on multiple occasions (according to other reviews below: one for someone’s wedding, another for a child’s birthday, and another for a big boxing fight party). All were occasions of which G&G Movie Screens did not communicate with their customers legitimate reasons or, for some, no reason at all behind the absence of their services. I don’t know whether the other customers got their money back, but I know the organizers of my church’s event still have not.
All in all, G&G Movie Screens is a business that is not even worth a glance. Instead, go with a professional establishment and save yourself the time, effort, money, and embarrassment.

We had a nice family & Church function until night came for family movie night! Our announcer kept telling us that the screen and the audio equipment were coming soon so we can watch our movie… The poor lady who booked this event was communicating with this company and was hung out to dry… They had stolen her $ 300 donation to the Church!
Can you believe anybody stealing from a Church or a poor lady? Our Church group kept trying to contact this guy/​company including a personal delivery of a complaint letter in his auto detailing business… Hmmm, how many other businesses and people this guy is raping to get a few hundred dollars…
Jesus Christ, this guy is a crook! Please help us get our money back…

BEWARE! Do not use this company. Vendor was no show after confirming prior to date and even on day of delivery Gaston Gutierrez said delivery was on its way. Whereas he was attentive to calls to get the business, he stopped communicating after he said delivery was on its way. To date they have not returned phone calls, texts or messages! Vendor has not refunded payment made to secure the rental. I have attempted to reach vendor by text, phone calls, and email and delivered a letter to his place of business (he was not there). If there are other victims of this company, your recourse includes complaints to the following: the 1 star is unfortunate required to post.

I booked G&G Movie Screens through
3 months before my wedding to provide string lighting and a small sound system and paid a 50% deposit. They seem to be using several different business names including Fusion Multimedia and Avisa Rentals – I guess that should have set off alarms from the start. We confirmed with Gaston several days before the wedding, and he said we were «good to go.» Unfortunately, the day of my wedding arrived and Gaston did not. He didn’t take our calls, and we haven’t heard from him since regarding why he didn’t show and when he will be returning our deposit. My next complaint will be to the Better Business Bureau.

I found this place via Unilocal when I decided to host a backyard movie night. I own a 18’X20’ framed screen and rented a projector from G&G. Based on previous reviews you would think I was crazy, but I was happy with the service and the additional services offered to enhance the experience. they have outdoor speaker and lighting if you need it. Will use them for future needs.

TERRIBLE! We had a reservation made for a drop off at 9:30 a.m. for a 12×7 screen and projector the day of the Mayweather/​Pac fight. We had everything set up so the drop off would be quick and easy! We paid $ 200 in advance and the day of NO ONE SHOWED UP! Along with that they didn’t even call us or email us to notify us that they wouldn’t be able to make it. The owners excuse was that his phone was dead… GO FIND A PHONE CHARGER, DUH!!! You do not just leave your customers hanging like that. Our family was so excited to watch the fight on a big screen! When no one showed we had to go out of our way, leave our own party to go buy a 70″ tv from Costco. All because these dumbasses didn’t attempt to contact us! They didn’t even give us an opportunity to make it work… we could have picked it up ourselves. On top of it all, I called at least 5 times, left 3 voicemails, and emailed them… I didn’t get a response EVER, the scared cowardly owner called my brother instead. I will NEVER try to use this company again and neither will the hundreds of cousins/​family we have I suggest you save your time and money, go with a better more LEGIT company that actually cares about their customers. Would leave negative stars if possible!
