I like the specials and the grilled flavor! They have the best tasting thousand Island dressing as well!

I am going to say that when Fletchers first opened I had a bad experience. I have been back a couple of times since then and it was ok. The menu is limited for someone like me. I like to try new things and get bored by the standard offerings. I decided on the ribs. I did like the house dressing on the salad. The robs themselves were super good. I don’t really like ribs that much, so if I like them I usually will make my way back. I did not like the bbq sauce. It is not that the sauce didn’t taste good. It was a bit spicy for me after a few bites. You do get a full slab of ribs though. I will most likely be back. I will most likely order the ribs again. I will just ask for no sauce or sauce on the side.

Lunch for one in #BWE(Belleville West End). I read the reviews online and since they were mixed… I decided to try it for myself. My taste buds were delighted by the Hickory Grilled Salmon Club and the Soup of the day: Chicken Tortilla. I plan to try the late night menu soon. #stlmetrofoodie

I was able to call tonight and with 45 minutes notice was able to bring a party of 20 on a Saturday night. The food was very good especially given the variety of what people wanted. Courtney, our server was exceptional and always in good humor. I’ve liked fletchers but tonight’s accommodation and food makes it my favorite in Belleville.

I haven’t had anything from here I haven’t loved! Their«Thai Won On» pizza is bursting with flavor! Love it! For a five star rating, they need to update their restaurant and have better service.

I really love Fletcher’s. The ambiance is so different from anything else in town. Yes, the acoustics suck. But it’s a small price to pay for the unbelievable food. We’ve always had impeccable service and even better food. Ingredients are fresh, so when they’re out – sorry, they’re out. I don’t have a problem with that! If they stock their kitchen with frozen, prep eased garbage, that’s what it tastes like, folks. The chef creates a soup of the day, and if you’re ever lucky enough, get the seafood chowder. Holy Mackarel!(See that fish pun there? :p) but no seriously! It’s insane! The Frank and Larry’s Salad is more than a typical buffalo chicken salad, but it’s a great, well-known alternative to their amazing artisan pizzas – just in case you’re not wishing to venture beyond the norm. They’re also super gracious with special requests and subs. While the buffalo chicken salad comes with fried chicken, there’s no hassle in ordering it grilled. For the veg lovers out there, you’ve got to try the veggie stack sandwich. It has so much flavor and is simply scrumptious. I also love that they offer different sides and items like quinoa. A refreshing take on laid back cuisine. I’ve only had an alcoholic drink here once but it was well mixed and reasonably priced. Even their meeting/banquet room is awesome. We have our Belleville Historical Society annual meetings here and are holding my friend’s baby shower this coming June. They always provide delicious options, and even with it being served buffet style, it’s fantastic. Everything is cooked properly – not over or underdone. Plenty for seconds or even thirds! Pastas, proteins, greens, you name it. A nicer dining experience but comfortable, too!

I love Fletcher’s. We have only been in the area for a year and so far it is my favorite restaurant. Yes it is loud in there but that has only been an issue for us when there are children not being watched. The food is amazing, they have something for everyone there, even REAL vegetarian options, not just ‘here’s one of our salads without the meat’. There staff is also friendly. I would go there again and again!!!

There are not many«vegetarian-friendly» restaurants in Belleville, but Fletcher’s vegetable pie is my go-to when I want something tasty nearby. Most places have a couple of iceberg lettuce salads on the menu and they think they’re catering to the non meat eaters, but Fletcher’s actually has things besides salads that don’t have meat. Pros: it’s not a chain, the food is better than most places in Belleville, they have a bar with nice bartenders and a back room you can rent out. Cons: the parking lot is a cluster and it’s loud inside.

Food is decent, but the service is awful. I had the sirloin special which was a pretty good value for the size of the steak and the price. Garlic mashed potatoes were great. Quinoa salad could have used some more flavor. They messed up my wife’s order, so they comped her entrée. Another person in our group ordered the pizza and it looked great. The place was busy, but was emptying out quickly as we were seated so I don’t know why the service was so bad. The waitress took a long time to bring the drinks and a long time to come back to take our order. It took a long time to get our food as well. Once dinner was over, it took about 15 minutes to get our check, another 15 for her to pick up our credit card, and another 15 to get the copy to sign. In all, about 45 minutes just to pay and get out of the place. The couple we were with commented that the only thing wrong with this place is the slow service. This was our first time here and they had been here several times before.

For some reason, this place carries sound like no other and is unusually loud. The four of us came in for dinner and we could barely carry on a conversation… and eventually we gave up trying. The temperature in there was also unusually cold. The food was pretty good. I had a chicken caesar salad and the chicken was BBQed which put me off a bit, but it was good. My other dining partners enjoyed their food. Service was amazing… our server was really on it! I was between 3 and 4 stars, but asked myself if I would go back and my answer is no. If I could talk to my dining partners and not freeze, I would definitely go back. So if you like a cold and lively environment(seems like an oxymoron?), you will enjoy this spot!

For years this place has had five star food, but one star service. I give it five stars„ because quite honestly it is the only decent option on the west end of Belleville, and one of maybe five places I am willing to eat in this town. Bottom line is know that you are going for great food, and the service is guaranteed to stink! Everything is made from scratch. All grilled items are grilled over a hickory fire that is maintained throughout service giving the most excellent. I personally prefer a steak from fletchers than Ruth Chris, and that is due to the extra care and $ spent on the hickory grilling process. The menu has changed a few times in the past few years, and I feel that the original menu had better variety, but all in all, the food is delish!

Well, the«tad slow» service which I wrote about in my previous review, coupled with the fact that Fletcher’s has removed its«Crazy Rice» from the menu are the root causes of me downgrading the establishment to a 3. It’s still a nice place to come, but: it would be better with Crazy Rice! (also new from previous post: now that I’ve tried more restaurants in Belleville, Fletcher’s is no longer my favorite.)

Fletcher’s is easily the best restaurant in Belleville. The steaks are excellent, and so are their unique pizzas(shrimp, sausage and mustard? Awesome). Monday nights are one of the best nights to visit thanks to the $ 12 steak and martini deal. Each other night(except fri/sat) boasts some sort of food or drink special that is worth checking out. Burgers: Fletcher’s has won best burger for a reason. Beyond the food, Fletcher’s is a great spot to stop in for drinks. Whether it’s a date night or a night out with the gang, you’ll find a friendly atmosphere and rarely have to battle a huge crowd for a drink.

I liked this place better the first time I went over a year ago. This time I found my pizza a little too greasy and the table was sticky. My husband really enjoyed his burger. I would be willing to try this place again sometime in the future.

THEBOTTOMLINE: Fletcher’s Kitchen and Tap is one of the better options for local dining in Belleville. While it’s a little run down, the food is good, the menu has variety, the portions are generous, and the prices are decent. It’s also vegetarian-friendly. FULLREVIEW: We went to Fletcher’s on a whim on Sunday night. I’ve been there once before, and while I remembered it being decent, I couldn’t remember much more about it. Still, we were in the mood for something different, and Belleville is increasingly running out of options for local cuisine. We’d all heard that it’s a local favorite for the folks on the west side of town. I’m glad to say that Fletcher’s does deliver — they’ve got a great menu with a lot of variety, ranging from fried chicken to pasta to fish to burgers to steaks to thin crust pizzas to salads. The prices are decent(about what you’d pay at a comparable chain restaurant), and the atmosphere, while a bit dark and bar-like, is pleasant enough. There weren’t many folks at the actual bar when we were there, but there were several groups having dinner together. I’m happy to say that the menu does feature several vegetarian-friendly items. I went with a delicious Tuscan pasta that had a fresh red sauce. They have a vegetarian pizza and several salads that can easily be served meatless(including an Thai peanut salad in a honey-lime mustard dressing I’m going to have to try sometime). My wife, who is not vegetarian and who was craving animal flesh, ordered the fried chicken tenders, which appeared to be made with a thin fish-style batter and which she said were absolutely delicious. They were huge, too — easily half a breast. She got three meals out of the one she ordered. Our friends got similar dishes, and were likewise happy with the quality and quantity of the food. We didn’t bother with drinks or dessert, but they had a full bar and a dessert that appeared to be suitably rich. One is a bread pudding and the other mixes four different types of chocolate cake together into a dish called«Chocolate Confusion.» Sounds interesting! I do have a few gripes. First of all, the booth seating was really worn and badly needs replacing. While the place looked clean and fairly nice, there’s nothing like being sat in a booth where the seating cover is jagged and chipping due to the owners not keeping up on the maintenance. My second gripe was that the service was adequate, but hardly attentive. The food came out fairly quickly, but we waited awhile for drink refills, and there were no frills like salads or bread to break up the waiting for any of the dishes we ordered. If you want a salad, it’s $ 3 extra. Yes, they’ve got plenty of appetizers, but they’re all $ 5 – 10 and don’t appear to be anything special. My third gripe is the Web site. In this day and age of mobile browsing, it’s time for restaurants to ditch those noisy flash-based sites and just put their menus and hours front and center. I had to call them to confirm that they were actually open, and I had trouble pulling up the menu on my Android phone. Sadly, Unilocal didn’t have much info, either. So, in the spirit of being helpful, here’s a link to their menu: All in all, I’d definitely go to Fletcher’s again. But if they want a five-star review, they’ve got to work a little bit harder on their service and presentation.
