Michael’s Roscommon House & Pizza

This place has never been a disappointment to my fiancé and I. We have been coming to Michael’s Roscommon for a couple of years and I thought I’d write a review for this place.
There are times when this place can be extremely busy, especially on UFC fight nights but the service is always top notch. Even in the busiest of crowds, the servers are prompt and very attentive.
The drinks are always made well and the food is very, very good for a pub. I know we have never had our food arrive cold or not the way we want it. Recommendations: try the Jersey Wings. The garlic and Parmesan combination sauce will keep you coming back for more! The pizza is really tasty, baked to perfection with fresh ingredients, and the Montclair salad is particularly good. The cranberries and walnuts mixed with goat cheese and raspberry vinaigrette are in perfect balance. The appetizers here are filling and sometimes we order a few of them rather than an entrée. You can’t go wrong with anything in the menu here. After reading about their burgers, had to go and give it a try. Wow! Burgers were crazy good. Also the Jersey wings too. I will definitely go back. Service on the bar side was great.

The service at this place was not good. A Friday night, not very busy. The dinning room was not full, it was just my boyfriend and I. The waiters were not attentive at all. The food was good, the prices were good but will not be going back because of the service. Maybe the service at the bar was better I don’t know but I will not be back to eat.

Cooked with excelances the onion rings at MRC House. Perfect crispness not a bit of oil in a bite. Excellent pub food excellent prices

Great place food was tasty made fresh have to be honest the wings were ok «jersey wings» a little to much garlic, awesome burgers very nice staff, and most importantly a very clean bathroom. You know what they say «dirty bathrooms even dirtier kitchen «.

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago. From the reviews and the constant flow of people I’d say this place is a great place to come to not only to eat but to have a good time with friends & family. The food was pretty good, my friends loved the fries, I tasted the mozzarella sticks & buffalo chicken tenders which I enjoyed. I ordered the spinach dip but I wasn’t too impressed, if you’re a spinach lover, I’d say go for it. They give you a big portion so I was able to get it wrapped to go and my husband enjoyed the dip at home. The waiter was friendly and checked up on us frequently which was great. But it does get super packed here!

Went in on a Saturday night later in the evening with a big group.
Great cocktails that were strong but tasted right on.
The locals we went with raved about the «jersey wings» which we got a couple of orders of. They were okay. Chicken wings were actually a bit touch and the sauce was like an Italian dressing with garlic and Parmesan. I don’t know that I would order again.
I had a pasta dish that was surprisingly really really good. The shrimp was well cooked and fresh and the veggies in the dish were great. Other people were happy with burgers that seemed preppy to standard — nothing special.
Service sucked. Not friendly at all and never brought the basic stuff like ketchup, cheese, extra napkins, etc.

I LOVE it here!!! This is my favorite bar in NJ and I go repeatedly each time I visit. It’s an interesting atmosphere, very fun and great for people-​watching. The food is DELICIOUS!!! Everything I’ve ever had (which is most of their menu) has been so good! Drinks are strong and servers are friendly and efficient. It can get crazy busy but deal with it because it’s amazing here.

Went for the first time last night with my husband during happy hour (3 – 7). The menu for half off appetizers was long and we went with the jalapeño poppers (6 pcs) which were okay by bar standard and also spinach dip which I loved! Super cheesy and lots of spinach! Not enough chips though for the amount of dip served. My hubby got the Jersey burger which he raved about and even used the side sauce which he never does! I got the Buffalo Burger which was good except I really didn’t enjoy the bun. Also enjoyed 3.50 beers (brooklyn lager and angry orchard) so it was a good night.

Great place to be during the football season to watch any night games. They offer a variety of flavors for wings, which are all very delicious, however, the wings can be quite small. Other than that the staff members are so kind and accommodating. Definitely will be back.

Came here for the first time recently after trying to find a half way location to meet up with a friend. We were pleasantly surprised.
The Jersey wings were great to start with and the burger was one of the best I have had in a while.
Great place to watch a game with plenty of TV’s.
I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a friendly sports bar with great food.

First time here, and won’t be last! Very friendly staff, good beer choices, and the food was fantastic. The Jersey wings were tasty, loved the sauce. My husband and I both had steak, and both delicious. Definitely want to come back and try the bar pies, they looked delicious.

Where I grew up, has come along way. Smaller bar area separate from another dining side, pool table as well. Great pizza wings, burgers and staff is on point. Remember sneaking in here when we were younger and brings back some fun times. GO YANKS!

Their jersey wings are to die for, I swear I could drink the sauce! If you’re in th e Belleville area I highly recommend stopping in for a beer and wings!

Didn’t come to dine in, had a take out order of wings and fries, and let me tell you this place has got the good stuff ! The wings are extremely favorable and saucy enough to not destroy the integrity of the wings, but enough to give is intoxicating flavor. The fries were just as good but it’s hard to mess up fries. The price was really reasonable and was worth every penny. Definitely will become my wings place for future times.

I live down the street so I come here as a last minute thing. I have had their jersey wings and personally, way too much dressing for me (literally drowning in them). Burgers are your typical bar experience. They have a baked mac and cheese that I like a lot. One of the days of the week they have a ribs special — I thought the ribs were whatever but my boyfriend hated them, barely touched them and told the waitress they dont fall off the bone like they say, ha! I wasn’t crazy about their wraps/​sandwiches either. Basically, stick with appetizers or burgers is my opinion.
They have outside seating when its nice which is fun. There is the bar and a dining area as well but I have only been in the bar section or outside. The drinks are strong so that is always good, my boyfriend got LIT’s and went from sober to black out in 3 or 4 drinks — but be careful it sneaks up on you.

Just not what it used to be. I’m not sure why our server even asked how we wanted our burgers cooked. Two medium, one medium rare. All were served well done. Dried out and lifeless, with a terrible burger to bun ratio. ¼ lb, ½ lb, served on the same tasteless oversized bun that may have been too large for the ¾ lb-​er.,
On a positive, the onion rings were crisp and tasty. On a negative, the fries were not very good. Both may have been previously frozen. The fries clearly showed it – blech!
Decent enough aps. Nice buffalo chicken fingers. Not over fried with what tasted like Franks Red Hot sauce. Good enough. Mozzarella sticks were absolutely fine.
Our server was friendly and got the job done. No problem with that.
Decent beer special until 7 which was reflected on the check. Nice to see an honest establishment.
Comic relief was provided at 7 sharp when the house music was switched over to Jeopardy for the rowdy and competitive local crowd.
Based on the burgers I don’t think I’d return. The aps, while fine, were not «wow» to the point I’d come back for other menu items.
Were I a local, I’d come for the occasional happy hour or sporting event. That’s about it.

What a fantastic place, friendly atmosphere, the employees, cheerful, kind and friendly. The food is cooked to your liking. Always fresh. The desert fabulous, the entertainment always good.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area
