History

Established in 2000.

Bellevue Healthcare opened its flagship location in Bellevue, WA on August 1, 2000. Bellevue Healthcare quickly established a name for itself by offering free and timely delivery of home medical equipment, custom rehab technology, respiratory services and sleep therapy with unmatched service. Over the last fifteen years, Bellevue Healthcare has expanded to have retail locations in Seattle, Bellevue, Everett, Bellingham, Tacoma, Wenatchee, Sequim, Silverdale, Lacey, Spokane, Yakima, Kennewick, Pullman, Portland and North Idaho.

Business Owner

Founder and President Peter Norman began Bellevue Healthcare with a vision that incorporated much more than an eye for the bottom line. Starting with nothing more than a vision and willingness to take a risk, Peter began logging the hours of delivering, cleaning, networking, and serving every aspect of the business, along the way creating a foundation and beginning for what Bellevue Healthcare would become. This ground up philosophy is still incorporated today and reflects Peter’s passion for doing things right.

Peter has called Washington home for most of his life. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, California in 2000.

Peter drives our company with care and compassion, not only for the field that we are in, but for those that fuel Bellevue Healthcare from the ground up day in and day out. He has a strong commitment to every member of the team and enjoys the family atmosphere that is prevalent in each branch.

These guys are terrible to work with! Stay Away! They will not work with you on billing when you are disabled and unable to pay only small portions at a time. They seem to forget that the reason that you are using their equipment is because you are newly hurt, in a wheelchair unable to walk or work. I would not use them every again. I will tell you that if you have an unfortunate accident and end up in a Wheelchair for 2 years that these guys are going to treat you like the mafia, to get as much money out of you as possible. They are «Claiming» they sent letter that I never received, however I got invoices and called in and talked to the nice girls of customer care. Which were aware I was not working, But the guy behind the scenes Donavon does not and will just send you to collections. Ruin your credit! Saying, he sees nothing and sent everything and he has no say over the mail me and can’t help it. He could of picked up this phone. This is 2015 Terrible, Terrible, TERRIBLE service that will mess with your credit. I would give them negative stars if I could. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! Every other place has worked with me, hospital, doctors, Physical therapy, Etc.

This last Friday, I came into town to help my mom move and find a new walker for her. My initial experience with the company was not good. I was wanting to get into the store at the Stone Way address. I tried calling a few times but could never get through to the store, and I always talked to someone in Bellevue. The guy in Bellevue said that sometimes, even he can’t get through to the Seattle store!
I went into the stone store with my mom to choose a walker with a seat. I went in with a purpose of telling the worker there that I was frustrated with the phones and that I could never get through. But after arriving, I understand why.
When I get there, the man was with three other people before me. It didn’t take long to realize that he was the only one there. I heard phones ring, but none are picked up, and I assume those are the ones that go to Bellevue.
The man who helped me at the store was wonderful, I wish I remember his name. He helped me look at the walkers with my mom, and very thoroughly explained the process through Medicare. He was very patient, I’m willing to admit that my mom was not being easy to work with because she has been resistant to all the changes happening. I did ask him about the phones, and he gave me his email address. And that was great! He was very quick to respond by email, even on a Saturday when I know the stone way store is closed.
All in all, it was a ok experience. I give one star for the phone confusion and difficulty in reaching a person on stone way. But I give five stars for the service I acutally received at the store.

I was given a prescription for crutches and a walker after a partial knee replacement upon leaving the hospital. The prescription directed me to Bellevue Healthcare. After arriving and limping in, the person turned away my prescription and said I’d need to pay cash. He said the comment for the surgery was not fulfilled even though it said Unicompartmental knee replacement from surgery.
I went to 3 places before I found used crutches which broke the following day, a Saturday.
Monday I informed by orthopedist team that I had been turned away and they said they’d had many problems with this group. They wrote another prescription and I went back only to be told a diagnosis was not now on the prescription. I believe this is unethical if not against the law to divulge private healthcare with the exception of prescribed directions via and MD.
So after waiting for 35 minutes to get through to my ortho team, I asked the man at Bellevue Healthcare if I could get a FAX cover sheet and FAX the ortho team the problem. He said ok but never gave me a FAX sheet. So I left again 3 days later without any assistance — NONE. No offer to help, hold the door, communicate upon my behalf. NOTHING x 100 bullshit excuses is ZERO.
I then drove back to my orthopedist and asked for them to get the crutches delivered from anywhere and that is not be going back to Bellevue Healthcare again. The doctors in the ortho group said thus stop using the pathetic healthcare group and would notify all orthopedist and Physician Assistants and Nurses and hospital here in Bellevue.
DON’T USE THESE PEOPLE.

Good customer service initially.
They were able to deliver my dad’s hospital bed within 24 hours but I had to pay via credit card because they are working on the insurance side of everything, I will update my review once that had been completed.
I’m disappointed that I was promised another item in the delivery that did not make it to my dad’s house that was particularly important so that he could use the bathroom. I just called the Everett location where Steve told me that the deliver driver is gone and won’t be able to deliver the item. I’m upset that I have to drive downtown Everett due to a mistake that was not mine. This is on top of driving to Harborview every day to visit my dad who’s in bad condition.

I rented a scooter for my wife a year ago, I paid in cash. I’ve spoken with them several times and they dispute this. One of their employees probably stole it. I will find the receipt, but thanks for the inconvenience.

I called to get a prescription for medical equipment filled and spoke to Kyle. Kyle wasn’t so good as the warm fuzzies I expect in customer service, but I’m always willing to overlook that for excellent service. I don’t think I got it.
I expressed urgency in acquiring this equipment, and I even faxed my prescription in for him. When I hadn’t heard back after four hours, I called to check on progress. The fax hadn’t been checked, and I was told by one of his coworkers that Kyle had been in meetings all morning long. (When I expressed my desire for expedited service, he never said it might take a while.) I don’t mind waiting if I have to. I just mind waiting when nothing is done.

It’s great here. I like how they have many items set-​up in the store and ready to try out. If you know what you want, they can special order things they don’t normally have.
