After having three kids I was left with typical «mommy tummy» and was extremely self-​conscious about all the extra skin once I’d lost all the baby weight. I never felt comfortable in a bikini in public, and was opting out of family fun at pools and beaches. I needed a tummy tuck.

Dr. Dhaliwal performed the tummy tuck, and I was extremely happy with the results. He is professional and knowledgeable, but most importanly to me, he was extremely caring and listened to me in a way that none of my previous care providers ever have.
A year later when I came in for my final post-​op, I scheduled to have some body sculping done, and in the course of conversations with Dr. Dhaliwal, we talked about some other chronic issues I deal with. Dr. Dhaliwal listened thoughtfully, and the next time I was in, provided some suggestions and insight that put a name on an undiagnosed issue I’d been dealing with for years without much help from my general practioner.
It really meant a lot to me as a patient, that Dr. Dhaliwal cared enough to not only bring it up at our next appointment, but to offer information and strategies for care that truly made a difference in my life.
Now, 15 months after my initial tummy tuck, I’m spending the weekend wearing my bikini sitting poolside at a resort, something I could never have imagined feeling comfortable doing before meeting with Dr. Dhaliwal and having my surgery.

From start to finish, working with Dr. Dhaliwal has been amazing and an absolute pleasure. I had spent 15 years researching and planning for this procedure, trying to find a surgeon and a facility I was comfortable with and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with him.
The main things that set Dr. Dhaliwal apart from other surgeons are his dedication, relaxed yet professional demeanor, and the high level of pride he has in his work and what he does. For him it’s not just a matter of completing a job; he works hard to make sure each and every patient is ecstatic with their results.
He works very closely with his patients to provide any and all information you may need and to ensure that every step of the way you are happy with your results as well as comfortable with the entire process of surgery and recovery. At no point in time do you feel rushed and he will spend as much time as needed to answer questions and give direction in the event you are uncertain about any details.
He’s also very open and honest about explaining and setting realistic goals. He does not lead you to believe you’re going to end up with results that are just not possible. By the time your surgery date comes along you know exactly what you’re getting in to and what to expect during and after recovery.
His bedside manner is amazing. He’s a very patient, friendly individual and confident in what he does, while not egotistical or pushy. He will make his opinions known, but ultimately it’s very clear that the final decision is yours. I came in with a plan for my procedure to be done a certain way, he recommended we go about it in a different manner, clearly and politely explained his reasoning and in the end I felt entirely comfortable leaving him to do what he believed would be best. I could not be happier in my decision to do so. It’s always good to look into these things ahead of time and to try and formulate a plan of your own, but I would definitely recommend taking the time to listen to what he has to say and remain open-​minded to his suggestions.
One thing that I also personally found very satisfying is that he does very neat, clean work. Dr. Dhaliwal spends a lot of time focusing on making the smallest incisions possible. He does not like making incisions in easily visible locations. His incisions and sutures are also very neat. What he does and how he does it is honestly more akin to art rather than surgery.
All in all I could not be more satisfied with my results. I would most certainly recommend him to others and have done so without any hesitation or second thoughts and will continue to do so as long as he is active in his field.

Dr. Dhaliwal is great!!! I totally recommend him! I was very insecure with my breast size for a long time so one day I came upon searching for the best surgeons in Seattle wa and I stumbled upon Athenix in Bellevue WA. Dr. Dhaliwal was very highly recommended and he has a great educational background and very knowledgable. When I met with Dhaliwal he explained everything so thoroughly and made me feel very comfortable. No questions are stupid at all it’s about your body and what makes you happy. I also had hyperthyroidism at the time. Before getting surgery he made sure to check with my endocrinologist and also had to get a approval and test results. That to me shows that he cares and is not all about the $ but he actually cares for his patients! My decision to have a major «elective» cosmetic procedure wasn’t taken lightly, nor was my research process to find the right surgeon. For me, optimal results and patient safety were my utmost priorities (especially since my career as a model hinged on a successful outcome.). Excellent Interpersonal Communication: Dr. Dhaliwal is very personable, congenial, kind-​hearted and fun. He is easily approachable and treats you as a «person» not merely a «patient.» This is immediately apparent during his consultations. In addition to being a highly skilled surgeon, he is simply a great guy.
«Above and Beyond» Customer Service: He takes time during consultations to listen and carefully assess your goals and explain the mechanics of how he approaches your surgical procedure to make sure you are educated and at ease. He takes his time with you. In spite of his full patient load, he spent an hour with me at each consultation and 2 hours with me at my pre-​op appt. I NEVER once felt rushed!
Integrity: Dr. Dhaliwal, both personally and professionally, exudes high integrity. He is highly regarded and loved among his staff and patients alike. I personally experienced this when I interviewed his staff and met with one of his former patients. They ALL raved about him. His patient said, «He took my 50-​year old body and gave me the body of a 20-​year old!» (Her before/​after pictures proved true!).
Confidence in Expertise and Judgment: He knows what he does well and stands by his skill, without coming across as egotistical. On the contrary– he is extremely humble and gracious. He is confident in his ability to perform techniques not all surgeons are trained or confident with, and as a result I had options.
Colllaboration: Listening and making patients a pivotal part of the decision-​making process is key for him. He never pushed me into a decision I wasn’t comfortable with. He sought my feedback and was open to incorporate and try new things based on it.
Perfectionism: His work is his signature– he will spare no effort, time, or personal financial cost to «get it right.» When he saw a revision was needed to optimize my results– he took the initiative to come in on his day off– at NO additional expense to me– to make the correction. My happiness, not merely «satisfaction,» was his utmost priority. He nailed it and I couldn’t be happier with my results!
Attentiveness: He is very sensitive to how a major cosmetic surgery can impact one’s body and emotions. He called and regularly texted me immediately after my surgery and throughout my recovery to check-​in with how I was feeling, offering support and encouragement.
He sticks with you every step of the way during the recovery process, no matter how long it takes. My recovery was atypical and complex. I had some post-​op complications with my incision that necessitated weekly wound care visits for several weeks. Dr. Dhaliwal attended to me personally at each visit. On a couple of ocassions when I couldn’t make my standing appt. he came in before hours or on his day off to see me. (Even came home from his holiday vacation to see me/​my family late on a Sunday night). How many other surgeons would adjust their schedule to accommodate a patient’s schedule? He is unrivaled in this respect.
Accessibility: Every patient gets his personal cell phone number. He adamantly encourages patients to call, text, and email with any questions/​concerns and he promptly responds. I would text him «progress pictures» and he immediately texted me back to offer explanation and suggestions. (He is like having virtual dr. appointments ²⁴⁄₇).
Candor: Dr. Dhaliwal does not give false impressions about realistic results just to earn your business. He will not set up unrealistic expectations when his expertise dictates otherwise. He does not take a «one-​size-​fits-​all» approach, but rather recognizes each body type as unique and may have limitations; therefore, takes an individualized approach and tailors each procedure to insure optimal results.
