Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle’s Eastside

This hotel is great!
Pretty fancy, very nice rooms, and is attached to a center where you have some nice restaurants to choose from if you don’t feel like going outside.
I stayed there during a business trip and had a great time. The room was equipped with just about everything I needed and the shower, which I’m usually most critical about at hotels, was perfect! Seriously, I could barely walk out of the hot water.
They have a big size gym, which for me is a huge plus (I’m a hotel gyms fan!), the only downside was that it was located on one of the buildings attached to the hotel and so to get there I had to go outside to the other building. It wasn’t so bad, just took me a while to figure it out. Overall, great experience, highly recommended!

Used my date night gift certificate for a executive suite, I called concierge for special request, they decorated the room with balloon and fake rose petals, it looked so cute and no charge! Sunday breakfast goes until 1:30pm! Amazing. I can never wake up for hotel breakfast…
Not so good side:
However, the bed sheet had a hole in it. And the front desk forgot about movie and dinner voucher, we had to ask for it twice. The gift certificate included truffles too but idk why the front desk asked us to choose either strawberry or truffles. I didn’t feel like asking so. And the view of room 982(executive suite), has nothing. Maybe a roof of another building? And people from across the street condo can see us/​we can see them. Can’t have shades open al the time. Room was pretty small and too basic compare to other hotels.

This was the perfect hotel for my parents and I to stay near Bellevue Square during the holiday season. Since it was cold and wet out, it was nice to be able to walk through the skywalk system right over to the mall. Self-​parking was an easy and convenient option. The front desk staff were very helpful in orienting us with what the hotel had to offer. There is a Tully’s in the lobby. The fitness center is a little hard to find but it was quite large and offered plenty of cardio machine and weights, as well as a small indoor pool. The rooms were very nice and we had a great view of Lake Washington. This is the best hotel to stay at if you just want to park your car and be in downtown Bellevue! I also really enjoyed the Asian motif of the Cascade Tower. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Oh, the Hyatt did surprise a retired travel agent… they hired a guest experience specialist by the name of Jessica. She is fabulous. We came off a 3 hour plane ride and through the typical rain storm, which we are not accustomed to, and arrived to the hotel at noon. We had gotten an email from Jessica earlier in the week, asking if we needed anything. She had a room ready for us upon check in, which was very easy and the front desk actually spoke with us, and my husband could go right to work. It was a quiet room and the view was spectacular. Meanwhile, I could walk over the covered bridges to The Square and do some last minute Christmas shopping. There was a great deli back at the hotel on the first floor for sandwiches and soup and no waiting.
We had two business appts and then we were steps away from Star Wars Imax in the cinema, late in the afternoon. After the movie, we met clients inside the Hyatt at Daniels so could get rid of all the coats and gloves in the room. This Hyatt is deeply dedicated to their guest experience and oh, location, location, location. Great job and thank you for a wonderful Christmas experience.

Even though, I did not stay the night at this hotel, it deserves a review! Location is key and this place is next to everything in Bellevue. This is a very clean hotel which I think is super important. A few girl friends and I took one room for a birthday get together. Since I wasn’t spending the night, I was a bit worried about finding parking on a Saturday night, but I found out that you can still park at their garage until the morning. I’d def consider or recommend people to stay here if need be.

A really solid full service hotel. I really enjoyed my stay. Parking was easy in underneath garage or of course you can use one of the friendly valets. Room was very nice and straightforward (I had a really nice view from my 14^th story room.) Internet connection was strong! Plugs in convenient locations always a must! There is a Tully’s coffee shop right inside the lobby which is great in the am or anytime! Breakfast buffet was on point with an omelette station, lox and even charcuterie! Staff was friendly and helpful. Solid bar and restaurant that seemed to be very popular on a Friday night if you are looking to dial it up a notch!
Fitness center was really great for a hotel.(provided towels, water and headphones to make cardio go by a little quicker!) Was pleasantly surprised. Nice indoor pool. Kobe burger on the all day room service menu didn’t disappoint! Hope you have a great experience as I did!

Good conference hotel. Not the newest hotel but comfortable rooms, good service, and they have a Tully’s in the lobby. We had amazing food for lunch and receptions (I am sure the actual menu choices depend on what the conference organizer selects but if that’s the quality of their catering I was impressed).

It’s a nice hotel, right across the street from shopping mall and right next door to the famous din tai fung, a few blocks to the park/​lake. everything within walking distance. unfortunately, they have raised the rates way up! we used to pay $ 140 a night for a suite, but now it’s going for 3 times as much =(

Our room with a view was amazing. Free parking on the weekends. Breakfast in the room was great. A wonderful central location.

I would’ve given (5) stars, but my room, an Executive suite, wasn’t completely clean (Glass surfaces were dirty) upon entering. Other than that very minor detail, everything else was fantastic. Checking in to the hotel was very quick. This hotel has plenty of staff, which are very efficient and professional.
Hotel Location: The location is great! The property is well connected, via sky bridge, to a multitude of restaurants and shopping malls.
Hotel Parking: Great! The hotel property offers generous garage space for hassle free parking, as well, of course, valet, too. Also, FREE parking on weekends.
Hotel Restaurant: Really good! You won’t leave hungry. The Belgian waffles were amazing.

Great location — as its connected to the shops/​mall in Bellevue — so you could totally just wind down an evening without having to get into your car. You’ll have your choice of top choice dining options and entertainment — all within a short walk through connecting sky bridges.
The lobby area is open with great modern atrium with the ball rooms located on the ground level — that is ideal for conferences.
Hyatt has their awesome beds, and the shower was very strong. Good stay

What’s not to like about this place!
I have stayed here for an extended period of time, and I can confidently say the place is amazing! Whether it’s the rooms, gym, pool, front desk, room service, club staff, or the breakfast and evening snacks at the club, everything is top-​notch and delightful.
The staff here starting from the room service folks to the front desk mgmt. (Jake and Michelle) and the sales manager (Jonathan) in the back office is genuinely interested in accommodating any specific requests one may have and making your stay relaxing and memorable. They listen to you with keen interest and make every effort to improve your experience.
The gym and pool areas are impressive and always clean and well-​kept.
I love the breakfast at Regency club as it’s always fresh and has plenty of options.
Adding to all of that a comfortable downtown location that provides a walkable, sky-​bridge access to Macy’s, Nordstrom, a movie theatre, and many good restaurants is a great advantage.
Will always try to stay here whenever I am in the Bellevue area.

I’ve had one more one-​night stay since my last review. The bed was more comfortable this time, so I hope the first experience was an isolated incident. I definitely love the location and access it provides. I had more experience with staff this time and was very happy with the service. One word of caution: Saturday night gets loud and crowded in the lobby and driveway/​valet area. There’s a lot going on between the club/​bar near the main lobby and events going on in the hotel. I hate to say it, but young douchebaggery abounds. It was remarkable to watch. Kind of entertaining to an old fart like me, frankly, but also annoying. It’s not a reason to avoid the hotel, but know what you could face. Staff kept things under control, though. I think this hotel is becoming a go-​to for our short runs up to Bellevue.

Our first stay was a disaster with miscommunication over some milk storage for our baby. However Philip the Assistant GM was overwhelmingly mortified and not only comped our stay but made sure to provide us with lots of other food options for our baby. Each subsequent visit has been amazing and he has always made sure we are welcomed and enjoy each stay. The sky bridge to Din Tai Fung is not to be beat!

I’ll go straight to the negatives:
The main thing that was bad was our room! Which is why one stays in a hotel, right? There was no bathroom fan! No toilet paper holder! No microwave. The TV wasn’t very big. No robe or plastic bag in closet for laundry. Thin walls. No vending machine on our floor… the machine on a different floor wasn’t even working properly.
For being an expensive hotel, they offer NOTHING complimentary. No free breakfast or even business center! to use a computer, I’d have to swipe my credit card!
The positives:
Great location! Parking is free for guests on weekends (not weekdays however…$ 25 a night), friendly staff, beautiful lobby and ballrooms, awesome gym! (just have to scan your card through too many doors to get there).
For the price, not worth it.

Very nice hotel in and out. Close to everything, across street from Bellevue square. It has an very nice and big lobby. The rooms are nice and we’ll updated.
The service is outstanding.

This is a tough review for me. The hotel itself was really nice. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. Staff was friendly. The company held a party on our last night. The food was delicious and unique offerings. The hotel location is great for quick walk to shopping and some restaurants/​bars.
What ruins all of it is their policy for putting a $ 200 credit hold on credit cards for incidentals. They asked each person per room, so that is a $ 400 hold for incidentals. I’ve never dealt with this at any other hotel. Many of my coworkers were not informed and ran into issues later with their cards. A few of my coworkers discovered that the hotel actually ran the entire amount of the stay on their card (around $ 900). When I checked in, the young lady behind the desk made a comment that their computer was trying to run my card for the whole amount as well. She caught it, but clearly others were not so lucky. My coworkers had to spend time on the phone with their banks and the hotel to try to get it straightened out.
As of yesterday, it still showed a $ 200.00 «pending» hold on my card. I called the hotel, which informed me that it was released. Now I have to battle my card company to get it resolved. They said the hotel has to call them to verify that it has been released. Seriously… this is entirely too much trouble for «incidentals».
I definitely would not stay here again based on that policy.

I stayed at this hotel for just one night this month.
Pros:
+ beautiful hotel, HUGE, valet parking. extremely friendly and fast staff who definitely pride themselves on professionalism. we received a warm greeting and free gingerbread cookies when checking in (btw, they were yummy!) since the hotel wasn’t super busy we also got a free ‘upgrade’ to a room with a better view.
+the hotel room itself is nice; we got the deluxe king. everything was sparkling clean and immaculate. they give you 2 free bottles of water a day and there is a lot of surface room (a big desk, big dresser and large night stands). the water pressure in the shower was excellent and the shower got really hot, which I like. they also offer tazo tea and Starbucks coffee in the room.
+ after bringing back leftovers from a nearby restaurant, I realized I needed a fork, and called the front desk to ask if I could come get one. Instead they promptly had a full utensil set brought to my room. They REALLY go out of their way to make you feel important and valued, which is very appreciated.
+ valet service was fast and friendly (although pricey? to me at least. $ 30 for one night).
+ we ordered breakfast through room service and it came late, so as a courtesy they gave us a free extra orange juice and latte ($ 8 value). I thought that was nice.
+ comfy, soft towels and sheets.
Cons:
— I don’t know if this hotel has thin walls or if I had an especially loud neighbor, but I could hear someone’s TV through the wall as I tried to sleep.
— the ‘high end’ shampoo/​conditioners/​skin care they have in the rooms did not work well for me at all. the shampoo made my scalp extremely dry, and the face wash made me have a mini break out!
— the best was a tad too firm for my liking, but it wasn’t a bad sleep at all. this is just my personal preference.
— room service is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, be warned! I have been to other nice hotels where room service was of course inflated, but this place really takes the cake. $ 7.25 for a bowl of cold cereal… almost $ 10 for yogurt with granola! this doesn’t include the $ 3.00 delivery fee + another delivery % they add on. my breakfast was potatoes, eggs, bacon and toast. all of it was mediocre. the latte had no real flavor. I was just let down by spending over $ 30 for room service when it wasn’t really that good.

Stayed here during the Vogue Front Row Fashion Show in September and had a great experience. My friends and I booked one of their suites on the upper floors for our stay, and it was clean, roomy, and had a couch that doubled as a fold-​out bed for nights. It was VERY spacious — quite enough room to sprawl without feeling cramped at all.
Amenities were standard — nothing to complain about. The cosmetic mirror in the bathroom came in handy when all of us were putting on makeup and getting ready for our evening activities, since it was portable.
We requested additional towels, blankets, and pillows and the front desk /​housekeeping didn’t bat an eye. I made a call for the towels the morning before we left for an excursion to Seattle, and we had entire sets of towels waiting discreetly for us when we returned that afternoon. Later that night I realized we didn’t have enough blankets and pillows, so I called the front desk to request more. Housekeeping came up with the additional blankets and pillows less than ten minutes later, and they were very quiet /​cognizant of the hour.
The Bellevue mall is a short walk away and had a great shopping experience after our event.
The parking garage can be QUITE confusing. Make sure to remember where you entered the garage from, otherwise you could end up walking around and around hunting for your vehicle!
Overall, I was very pleased with my weekend stay here.
Some miscellaneous bright points of my stay:
* I didn’t use any of the other facilities (gym, pool, etc.), but the suite was actually large enough for me to lay down my yoga mat for a morning practice, and on Sunday when I had to be quiet because a couple of my friends had hangovers, I snuck out to practice yoga at the end of the hallway, which had a window overlooking the Sound. Wonderful! And the other guests and staff who saw me were very respectful of my practice even though I was technically in a public area, and wouldn’t have minded being asked to leave.
* The downstairs had some gigantic touch-​screen Microsoft Surface tables available for use! They didn’t always function well/​correctly, but after a late-​night dessert a few friends and I did engage in a few futile games of Frogger before heading back to our room. That was a real delight.
I would definitely consider staying at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue again in the future if I’m in the area again.

I stayed here with my girlfriend as an exhibitor for the 3D Print Expo. We stayed the nights of the 21^st, 22^nd and 23^rd. I worked two of those days and she was left to explore.
We had mixed experienced with this hotel. Given the fact that it’s a Hyatt and I’ve stayed at Hyatt’s a ton, I was a bit disappointed.
First the good. The SOME of staff that I interacted with in person was great. Major shout out to Patrick in Engineering. If it weren’t for him I’d probably be knocking this Hyatt even harder than I’m about to. The guys at the Concierge desk Friday night were great.
Now the bad. The front desk staff either spoken to in person or called on the phone was totally inept and in one instance was rude enough to my girlfriend for her to say they were pretentious. Anyone we spoke to on the phone was totally inept including room service and front desk.
Also, don’t expect any frills. You’ll have an empty fridge in your room. We rented a pay per view movie and had to speak to the front desk four times before they sent engineering up. Thanks to Patrick it was fixed. Also, there was a broken vending machine on our level. Small annoyance but one none the less.
Good location for a hotel though with that excellent mall and lots of dining options nearby. I guess I’m just used to better hospitality.
