Lake to Lake Trail

An amazing place to run, bring your furry friend (s) along, to jog or walk. It’s like the real escape from the city but you’re actually still in the city. It’s quiet and tranquil. You can hear the frogs croak, birds sing and rabbits hopping around. This is the most clean and well kept park ever. I really appreciate that. I wished there were more trash cans around so I didn’t have to carry my trash the entire hike (my drink spilled inside the bag so it got really messy). Overall, I’m coming back here. Remember to bring your walking shoes! Also! Explore the wooden house along the trail and enjoy the walk around the blueberry farm.

So easy to get to and not crowded. Perfect for a rainy day. It was a good trail for a family hike.

Such an amazing trail to walk, hike or run on on the Eastside! You might never realize how beautiful it is unless you got walk it! A joy to have in the city!

Out on business and I had some time to kill and this was a great way to spend the free time.

The Lake to Lake Trail is a great trail if you want to get out of «urban» Bellevue and into «forest, bog and birdland» Bellevue. If you are going East, either it will start at Enatai Beach near I-​90 and wind it’s way up Mercer Slough and Bill Pace Fruit/​Blueberries, or start at Meydenbauer Beach Park and wind it’s way E through Downtown Park and Main St.
After that, the trail goes through Wilburton Park and all of it’s trails [you can access it from SE 7^th St just E of the Lake Hills Connector to get a «head start”]. Then the trail winds through Kelsey Creek Park, where there are barns and many kid-​friendly activities, as well as the trail, which goes up to 140^th, then heads E on Main St to the Larsen Lake Blueberry Farm, and down the Lake Hills Greenbelt, finally ending at Weowna Beach Park near Lake Sammamish. Another trail follows SE to Phantom Lake.
Like the other poster said, lots of rabbits, squirrels, some ducks, geese and great blue herons [especially at Mercer Slough], then mostly birds and squirrels through the forest parts.
I believe the highest elevation is around 400 ft. This trail doesn’t go up a mountain for half a mile. It’s mostly a flat, easy to walk trail. You can walk the entire trail, or walk parts.

Awesome trail– I have never seen a trail system like the one in Bellevue. I am from California and the trail system signage made it so easy for me to get out and run around Bellevue without fear of getting lost.
I actually got to see a lot of Bellevue thanks to the trails!
I think its worth noting that there is a lot of care put in to the grooming of these trails– thanks to those working so hard to keep them maintained!
When I visit again I will surely be doing more trails.

Right is the middle of Bellevue is the terrific trail system that goes between Phantom Lake and Larson Lake. Even on a perfect day on a weekend, not very crowded. The trial winds through a few thickets, a small bog, a terrific stand of old growth firs and follows a brook that eventually becomes a glorified trench.
Plenty of small wild life includes squirrels, rabbits, red-​winged black birds, ducks, sparrows chickadees and woodpeckers. While a few signs warned of bob cat, mountain lion and bears (really, in Bellevue?) what I found in most proliferation was the wild and well coiffed Eastside MILF commonly found gazing in Bellevue, Issaquah and Redmond.
Both lakes are quite serene and larger than you might suppose. A great in-​city adventure, I got in 5 miles of brisk urban hiking. Check Bellevue Park Dept. for various well marked trail heads.
