Got a speeding ticket in Eastern/​Central Washington for going 5 over and live in Seattle. I paid 200 $ for a lawyer in Bellingham to get a ticket dismissed before, but this was 300 $. I figured it just cost more because of the worse location.
In the end, the ticket wasn’t dismissed and I have to pay an additional $ 115 on top of $ 300. I should’ve just deferred it. Wouldn’t recommend going here if they can’t even get a 5mph over ticket dismissed.
Also, they sent me a letter saying I need to pay 110. Then I got a letter from the court a few days later saying I need to pay 115. Good thing I waited until I got the notice from the court instead of trusting these guys.
Bottom line, get a different lawyer for traffic tickets. These guys are not good.
Edit: I thought it would be good to note, the actual cost of the ticket when I got it was 105 $ and this office «negotiated» a higher price. Also, it took 4 months to close out the case. I would’ve been better off either paying the ticket or deferring it.

MIke Sheehan was recommended by a friend. He was very pleasant, easy to work with and most important of all — he got my speeding ticket dropped.
This was my first time hiring a lawyer so I was unsure how exactly how the process works. Before the ticket got dropped, I received at least two letters from the courts which scared me so I contacted Mike. He advised me to not worry about those letters from the court and wait until I hear back from him. Time goes by I did not hear from Mike with updates, which made me feel uneasy… I would of given him 5 stars otherwise.

Michael worked his magic and was able to get my son’s speeding ticket dismissed. Michael was able to save me $$$ for potentially increased insurance premiums for my teenage son. Michael was very professional and called me with the great news. I highly recommend his services. I am hoping to not need his services any time soon, but it is nice to know he is there just in case.

I’ve only had two tickets in my life, and this most recent one would have raised the cost of my insurance. I didn’t want that, so a friend of ours recommended Michael Sheehan to me and I gave him a call. He was very pleasant over the phone, explained to me what I was to expect, and a few months after (yesterday) I received a letter in the mail saying my ticket had been dismissed and it would not appear on my record! YAY! I have never had to call a lawyer before, and I had imagined it would be so much more complicated, but this whole experience has been the complete opposite. No stress, no hassle… Nothing. I would HIGHLY recommend Michael Sheehan to anyone who receives a traffic ticket! Thanks Michael! You’re very appreciated! :)

I was referred to Mike by a friend who has used his services for years. She said he’d never failed her. So far he’s helped me and 3 family members get a total of 6 tickets completely dismissed, and is midway through one more, a big one involving a teenaged driver. These have been in different counties and once on the Bangor Naval base. (not sure if that makes it tougher, but I’d imagine.) the fees get bigger as the infraction does, but that’s to be expected. I’ve only had the failed communication issue once, and eventually he did get back to me after several attempts on my part. The other multiple times he was right on it. I can forgive one slow callback when there have been so many other fast replies. Email seems to be a really good way to communicate with him.
So, I’d have to say he’s done a great job, and have my fingers crossed for the big one in progress. I’ll update this after that’s done.

Mike is a great guy, and a great lawyer. He has the experience and ability to fight your case for you, and takes care of as much as the process for you as he can.
He explains the process, the possible outcomes, and the steps to completing whatever the plan of action is.
I would recommend him to anyone who needs a reliable lawyer who isn’t scared to play hardball with the system.
This would have been a 5 star review, but two stars were lost for the «after the sale» customer experience I received.
1* –The closure of my case came with a heavier fine imposed to me than Mr. Sheehan had originally forecast. Things happen, no big deal; but then he mentioned looking into possibly returning a portion of his service fee since the case did not go to trial.
I’m assuming since I never heard anything more about this, the notion was declined. Had it have never been brought up, I wouldn’t have this complaint to make. But considering it was said in the courthouse lobby, I assumed the offer to be genuine.
1* — I received a legal letter regarding the case Mr. Sheehan handled for me. I left a message with Mr. Sheehans office requesting a call back, and it was never returned, along with my follow up message.
Summary:
Mike will do everything in his power to find you the best outcome while he is working on your case. You will not regret hiring him to handle your legal matters.
Just make sure you keep copies of ALL DOCUMENTS, and his direct contact information for any follow-​up activity.
Good lawyers are busy lawyers.

I have nothing but 5 stars for attorney Mike Sheehan. Sadly for me, I cannot count how many times I have used him from a speeding ticket to negligent driving, all of which Mike has never let me down. I sent him my ticket and funds and don’t have to worry about a thing from there. I have confidence in his work and would refer him to everyone I know. Contacted Michael about a Tacoma speeding ticket, state patrol w/​aircraft, and Mike is familiar with Pierce County courts so told me that the infraction had a good chance of being dismissed. It was, I couldn’t be happier with the process and result. Mike is familiar and with both King and Pierce counties, so if you have a ticket in the area I recommend you give him a call. He’ll at least give you a realistic assessment of your situation. Good luck!

I would not recommend Michael Sheehan. I called him with a speeding ticket I got in Kirkland after reading mostly good reviews on Unilocal.I, however, had the same experience the other disgruntled Unilocaler had. Called and talked with Michael. He seemed very nice, very professional. I explained the situation behind my speeding ticket, gave him my case number and asked if he could help. Michael told me he would look into my case and call me back that afternoon to let me know if he could take my case. That was 2 weeks ago. I have tried to call back several times and have left several messages that have all gone unanswered. I am truly disappointed. Being new to this area, I had hoped I could rely on Unilocal to give me an accurate description of this lawyer but my experience has been a very big let down. I just put a check in the mail today for my ticket; I won’t be using a lawyer to fight it now. I wish my experience had been better.

Michael Sheehan’s track record of working cases for me is spectacular. There is no other attorney that I would want representing me on matters that he deals with. His pricing is amazingly fair. Once you’ve handed the issue over to him you can relax knowing that he’ll take care of the rest. Be patient though as he’ll likely postpone the court date multiple times. Although I’ve never met him I have worked with him for nearly 10 years and would highly recommend him to everyone based on his fair pricing, excellent record and he just makes it so simple and easy.

I contacted Michael Sheehan to help me with a ticket I received and he got it dismissed. When I called him he was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He told me to send the ticket and paperwork and he would get it taken care of. I was a little nervous after a week or so passed and I didn’t hear anything about it, so I called and he assured me I could just forget about it and he would take care of it. A few days later I received a letter saying it was dismissed.
I also had another friend who had a ticket dismissed through him. I would definitely recommend his services. Thanks Mike!

Oh man I totally spaced on giving Michael a review when I had him get a ticket dismissed for me a couple years ago.
Went to him per my brother’s suggestion after I received a speeding ticket. To sum it up, he pretty much took care of everything after a quick phone call and dropping by his office to hand in all of the necessary paperwork. Got my ticket dismissed and that was that!

I was disappointed with the level of professionalism Michael has provided given his profession. After hiring him to fight a ticket, I asked him to notify me by phone with the court’s date and decision as I was going to be out of town for a month. Michael left me a voice mail confirming that he will notify me of the decision and date by phone.
After not hearing from Michael, It turns out that my ticket was reduced to a lower fine had I paid on time. But given that I have not heard from him regarding my court date and decision, I was penalized for not paying on time, and the ticket was increased back to its value. Let alone I paid Michael, and the ticket remained on my record.
Every time I tried to call Michael, his secretary would tell me he would call me back, and he never did. At times, I thought about calling from a different number with a different name, but thought it would be a waste of time.
I would highly recommend other lawyers in the area instead of him. He is very unprofessional and does not deserve to be dealt with.

Mike Sheehan has helped a buddy of mine with several tickets, and always earned high marks each time (I shared an office with the guy when he was hiring Mike).
So, I got popped by a WSP plane/​bike combo last fall, and hired Mike to take care of it. He was pleasant, created a minimum of procedural red tape, charged me a fair price, and handled everything for me.
Mike’s prices and manner easily merit five stars, but, unfortunately, the prosecutor (or whomever) bargained him into accepting a cell phone use charge. The court date was so long after my ticket that I couldn’t even remember whether I was on my cell phone at the time. Needless to say, I invested $ 4 in some wired earbuds for the phone, so I am hands-​free now. Mike got my ticket cut in half, though I was hoping for a 100% reduction, which is what he has gotten my buddy every single time (and my buddy had much higher fines than I did). So I absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the man – after all, I probably was on my cell phone that day.

Mike Sheehan is the nicest lawyer and I highly recommend him. He got my boyfriend out of 2 speeding tickets and his friend out of two wreckless driving tickets. So far he is 4 for 4. He’s currently working on my pending case.
He has a great website for you to fill out a form to send into his office so that he can take on your case. No need to go in person and he will followup with you personally over the phone. His assistant is great and they are prompt in notifying you of pertinent information, estimated time-​lines, what to do and what to expect. He takes care of giving a notice to the court for a contested hearing and then he will go to court for you. The $ 300 is well worth it.
