I ordered online and twice they called me to say the order is ready. But when I came in, they started to fill the order. What a waste of 30min.

Lowe’s why do you pale so hard in comparison to home Depot? Your employees look like they are zombies out of the walking dead and rarely I mean rarely do I even hear a «hello» from any of them! Their uniforms are dirty, they look pissed off and not once have I heard «have a nice day!»
From beginning to end your staff need a freaking makeover on customer service! If your staff were pleasant I wouldn’t give two hoots about the poor quality of plants, that are half dead that you display.
The major problem is customer service, and if one person, just one, happened to ask me, «hey do you need any help?» I’d probably need 911 to be a called.
Step it the freak up Lowe’s, have some respect for yourself… and peeps, let’s go to nordies and get a fresh look on what your should be after… Customers.

Like some other customers of the Bellevue Lowe’s, I’m not really a fan of their customer service since they always seem greatly understaffed. However, today when I phoned to find out in advance if they had a certain kind of hardware (so that my husband wouldn’t have to wander around for a half hour trying to find someone who could help him), I hit the jackpot. The person who answered the phone, Carmen, turned out to know all about the hardware depdepartment. and the store. Seems she is actually a locksmith by trade and has been around this store for about 20 years. She helps out in different departments and today was answering the phone. She not only knew exactly what I was looking for, but told me immediately about the different sizes it came in and current availability in each. Carmen is a warm, knowledgeable, helpful person who represents the kind of employee most everyone would like to find when shopping. Lowe’s would do well to find a lot more like her to add to its salesforce.

I went to Lowe’s a few times this last week and each time wasn’t great. The staff in this store seem very spread out, scarce and aren’t very helpful.
The first time I went in I wanted to exchange propane tanks. I entered the store and a lady working there said to do it at the customer service area, so I walked to the customer service counter. The lady working the counter there (who was not busy doing anything) acted like she wanted nothing to do with me. This was very unusual to me coming from a lady behind a customer service area. Its hard for me to explain her mannerisms, but they were unwelcoming and rude. She completed the transaction and I went about my day.
The second day I went to Lowe’s I was looking for lightbulbs and a BBQ lighter. A man working approached me and asked if I needed any help. I asked him if they had other BBQ lighters from the one I was looking at (since these didn’t seem to be in a BBQ area) and he said he didn’t know and referred me to a lady on the phone. I walked by the lady on the phone as I didn’t want to wait for her to finish her call she seemed like she had been on for a while. I ended up later finding the BBQ area and still only seemed to find the same BBQ lighters.
I won’t be back to Lowe’s. I felt unwelcome here each time I visited and rather go somewhere else that appreciates my business more.

Amazing that on a mid week day at 11 am, it takes over half an hour to pick up an internet order that had arrived the previous day. I’m the only one in line… While waiting, the long lines of people returning items seem to have 5 to 10 minutes wait times. Average rating for the store seems spot on. Sadly.

Need some grout or paint? Lowe’s has that, and you’ll do just fine buying it here. Unfortunately, if you need customer service, it isn’t one of Lowe’s offerings, and you’ll likely do better shopping elsewhere.
My microwave died recently, and as anyone with a kid knows, it’s pretty hard to get by without one these days. My old model was a regular countertop microwave that was «built in» with a trim kit, so that was what I wanted to replace, and since was above my built-​in wall oven, I was debating whether to replace both at the same time. I took detailed measurements, and just to be extra careful, brought the manuals for the old microwave and oven, to ensure the salesman would have all the information he needed.
I spent some time discussing ovens and microwaves with the salesman, decided against the oven — too expensive at the moment. I was told that to get the correct size microwave & trim kit, I needed to order the items, which seemed to also be expensive. I was also told I’d receive a phone call when the items arrived after a three-​week wait.
I didn’t get that call, but when I did call in and actually reach a human being on the phone, the items had arrived, so I went to the store and brought them home and unpacked them and … they didn’t fit. The trim kit was a full four inches too short to cover the cutout„ while the microwave was too wide for the cutout.
I took the items back and, to their credit, was promptly refunded. The clerk also promptly brought over the manager to discuss the issue, because, yes, after bringing precise measurements (and manuals with more measurements!) and waiting three weeks, it doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect a microwave that, you know, fits. The manager was very apologetic and promised to look for a unit that would work with the space was dealing with. He looked for a bit while I waited, then said he’d research it and call me tomorrow. He also offered to work with me on price.
That was a week ago. My phone has rung numerous times since then, but the manager — or any member of the Lowe’s staff — has not been one of my callers.
So, I gave up, and went online to Sears, and discovered that not only do they have a microwave and trim kit that fit the space correctly, and as an added bonus: it’s fully half the price Lowe’s was going to charge me.

Absolutely worst of the Lowe’s stores! The person or persons who manage this store need to be fired! This has got to be the lowest of the lowest in delivering acceptable customer care outcomes. The best Lowe’s around is located in Issaquah, WA and Palm Desert, CA. The people who manage the Bellevue location need to restudy under the managers who run the higher performing locations. Then have them resubmit their application for reconsideration.
Consumers, I suggest you drive to another Lowe’s where the management is better.

All I needed was to see if they had a particular type of Zinsser primer in stock. That’s it! Called and was transferred to paint, which didn’t answer so call went back to operator who said «the person in paint just went to lunch and won’t be back for an hour.» «Nobody in that dept. for an hour?» He said «No, when that person goes to lunch there is NOBODY that can do anything in paints». I asked to speak w/​mgr. but was told mgr. not available, so they transferred me to building and hardware who said they couldn’t help with paint as they had their own problems, and transferred me back to customer service. Then I asked if that person could just walk to paints and check the shelves, and she said no — but they’d call for someone else to look. Waited, waited, waited — nobody came back on the line. Horrible service. Will go anywhere but Lowe’s.

I’m not a fan of Lowe’s customer service in general, although I think it’s significantly better than Home Depot’s. I’m writing this review because sometime you get lucky at these big chain stores and get the right person to help you out, and this happened to my wife and I last night at the Lowe’s Bellevue (Northup Way and 120^th). We were out looking for a new fridge, and a friendly sales associate came by and asked us if we needed any help. We asked a couple of questions, and he was very useful, but not in any way pushy. As we started to dig further and look into specific models, we started to have more questions. Luckily for us, he came by again, unsolicited, and asked us if we had any questions.
The next 5 minutes were purely educational for us. The sales rep, Jesus (I believe his nickname is Seusse — it was displayed on his tag so I asked about it), answered all of our questions, and clarified just about everything we needed to know about refrigerators. He showed us several models, and told us about various color options, and even printed out information for us to take home. We’re planning to buy a fridge before the end of the month, but walked into the store just to see what’s out there before doing some addition research). I’ve noticed at least one negative review about the appliance section in Lowe’s. If you happen to walk into the Bellevue location, look or ask for Seusse. If you’re lucky enough and he happens to be there, you’ll be in for a treat. I’m pretty sure that we’ll likely buy a fridge from Lowe’s, and it’s all because of Seusse.
One last note. I needed to pick up some carpet padding, and was delighted to find out that Lowe’s sold it by foot (Home Depot would only sell us a giant roll, which would have been wasted). I find a rep, and she called for help, but we just stood there for 10 minutes and no one showed up (typical of these store, unfortunately). I happened to run into Seusse again, as the carpet padding was right next to the appliances section. I told him that I was just waiting around for help with carpet padding, and to my surprise he said he’d take care of it for me. He measured the length I needed and used a box cutter to cut it for me. We’ve been at Lowe’s before, but never experienced such a high level of customer service. This guy should get promoted!
A note to management at Lowe’s: Seusse is an extraordinary employee, and I urge you to find and hire more employees like him, who are willing to go above and beyond to make customers happy. You can crush Home Depot by hiring more help and focusing on hiring and retaining the very best, such as Jesus at the Bellevue Northup Way location.

This location is awesome! I was looking for a custom cut piece of plexiglass and a 6500k daylight spectrum bulb. First off this was the first location that I’ve been to that offers full spectrum bulbs instead of the warm white bulbs. And after talking to the associate he was super amazing and ended up giving me an amazing deal on some plexiglass that was cut perfectly! Since he found a scrap piece that was brand new I got the same thing for much less. Also for people looking for precision cuts with acrylic sheets/​plexiglass, Lowes cuts them for you unlike Home Depot or other hardware stores.

we bought a samsung top loading washer/​dryer a month ago. id been out of town helping my ill mother, so hadn’t used it much. when I returned home and began using it, it was terrible. nothing at all came clean and even worse, it knotted up clothes unless you put in a huge load. I called lowes in issaquah and asked if I could return it and buy a more expensive front loader. jim in appliances said I was using the wrong soap. I use tide pouches. he even told me they were a scam (honestly?) after going around with him he said he would have his superviser call me. I called everyday for 5 days and finally got hold of «liz pullen» his supervisor who very impatiently talked over me and said I was over the 30 day limit and didn’t get the ext warrenty. I know we have a year, and the lowes in bellevue had told me it wouldn’t be a problem at all. liz pullen said she could have someone come out and look at it. if there was something wrong with, lowes would exchange it. if not… well, too bad for me!
if I could pull all my receipts for what ive spent at lowes just in the past year. im sure they would be happy to exchange it for me. however, we always shop in bellevue, so im stuck with this albatross. I won’t wear dirty clothes and I won’t EVER buy any appliance from lowes again!

I have been a customer of Lowe’s for several years. I quit going to Home Depot because my last 3 experiences have all been very bad. Mostly ignored and had employees act like they have better things to do than help me. They have lost my business forever.
When I’m at Lowe’s, I don’t usually ask for help, but when I do, sometimes I find an employee quick, other times I have to search. Overall my experience has been fair based on finding the item I want at a decent price. It is not based on customer service.
Back in April of this year I was getting ready to move out of a rental house. The lady homeowner was VERY nitpicky about every tiny little thing and complained about some dents in the carpet. I swear she was Hitler reincarnated. Ultimately, she decided she wanted the carpet and padding replaced and asked me to get some quotes.
I don’t like calling because there is no record of what was said. I prefer email because it gives a paper trail.
I emailed Lowe’s THREE times on different days for a quote, and I waited a few days for a reply.
Just today, September 1, over 4 months later, I received an email reply saying they screwed up and are very sorry nobody called me back. I understand if it was a few days or maybe even a week or two, but 4 MONTHS??? And… nobody ever bothered to call. It was an *automated* email. What did it say? They offered me a gift card for $ 10 (yes, TEN dollars). Wow.
If this was my business, I would personally be on the phone calling, apologizing, and offering much more than a pathetic $ 10 for what would have been a several hundred dollar job.
Lowe’s, this is not how to keep a customer. It is easier to keep a customer than get a new one.
I will certainly never get a job quote from them again. First impression is everything and they definitely failed here.
4 months for a reply? Seriously? That isn’t even good enough to call horrible.

yet again Lowes has let me down.
About 2 months back I went in to purchase a nice new grill. I looked around, found one I wanted and asked how to buy it. A staff member requested assistance for me three times, and nobody showed up. So in the end I left.
fastward to today, I stupidly went back this time to purchase I new carpet, I found what I wanted myself. I sought help, and was told it would be a few minutes… after ten I asked again and another staff member told me they would get someone …
well this went on for a while until I figured out the staff just did not care and would rather chat than assist me. Once again I had to give up hanging around waiting for help. keep in mind I was trying to spend a couple of thousand dollars and the staff in Lowes just did not care, they did not want to help and instead stroked their beards walked around and chatted.
10 years ago Lowes was my goto store, I spent tens of thousands there remodeling a couple of homes, but the last maybe 5 years it has become impossible to get good help or timely help.

The customer service took forever. I ordered range hood installation there, and it took a month to have their contractor scheduled for inspection and another month to have them scheduled for installation. Im so disappointed about their service. And every time i called, they was like oh we send out emails to the contractor and they have three days to respond. But the truth is, i never get called to schedule my service. Definitely never come again for the service.

If you’re a CONTRACTOR don’t even bother coming to this place. took me about half hour to check out with plywood and some 2×4 stud materials. AINT NO BODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!

really disappointed by the appliances department. I went there with very clear dimension/​measurement of the cooktop I wanted to replace. I did research and came up with one cooktop but the sales person convinced me that I needed another model which he said would fit better in the hole. He said that if I wanted to go with my choice, then he was pretty sure I would come back because I am not a professional and can’t know better than him. I bought the one he recommended and guess what… too big.
The sales people are clueless!!! Do not trust them at all.

I’m not sure how upper management expects 4 people to provide customer service in a football field warehouse of shat. Answer — It doesn’t. Management sucks.
Take a lesson from Costco. Your employees look miserable and don’t care. They’re not trained either.
Certain customer service were rude and very short. Even the guy at customer service — too busy answering phones to address me. Then hungup and knew nothing. None had any knowledge about the product I was looking for — air conditioners.

We are in the process of remodeling our first home and, unfortunately, Lowe’s has more of our preferred finishes than Home Depot. Getting assistance at this store is always a quest for the unobtainable, and wait times are always at our expense. I’m not sure if they’re just understaffed, inept at time management, or simply uncaring about customer service and efficiency. I really wish we could just shop at the closer Home Depot since we never have a problem getting assistance and are in and out quickly.

We were shopping for a gas grill as a birthday gift. The date of delivery was IMPORTANT. We picked a grill at Lowe’s because Lowe’s promised it would be delivered on April 4^th.
The grill did not arrive. We called and they promised delivery on April 7^th. Again, the grill did not arrive. It is now promised on April 15^th. This is getting to be a joke. Because it is a gift we are embarrassed!
I understand how mistakes can happen but to make the same mistake twice indicates unprofessional management and a careless corporate culture.
