Popcorn Pavilion

I had my first go at popcorn from Popcorn Pavilion when a coworker of mine brought in the Cashew Caramel and the Black Raspberry with Vanilla Cream into work because she’s a vile minx like that.
While I preferred the Cashew Caramel over the Black Raspberry with Vanilla Cream because it was less alarmingly sweet, I couldn’t take my eyes off either of them. If I could die by an overdose of popcorn made from here, I would choose that path. Since then, I’ve tried their regular caramel popcorn and kettle corn and they have been severely addictive. No, they’re not a basket full of puppies but it’s getting pretty close.
I could eat popcorn from here 24/​7, all year round. I could eat it while I’m taking a shower in a tub of popcorn from here. I could eat this while plunging my toilet. I could make love in a club to this. I could snack on this during a wedding reception, a funeral, while getting pulled over by the cops, during mass, you name it.
At first glance, it felt like a throwback of the trio, tin-​packaged popcorn that you always loathe to get during Christmas time, but that’s the upside of setting your standards so low. This popcorn blew my mind away; I am excited to try the rest of their flavors. I’m making it a 2014 resolution to have Popcorn Pavilion sponsor my life.

I am pregnant and was really craving caramel popcorn from this place (which I loooooove) …i called them one minute before they closed and they were waiting for me with mu order!!! The personel from the bellevue square mall is THE BEST!!! Great service, amazing popcorn!!! I just looove it!!!

This place is fantastic and is a must go if you’re headed across the bridge to watch a movie or just want a popcorn fix. The staff here is very friendly and willing to let you try out any of the flavors you wish and are well informed of what ingredients are in the popcorn, which they make in the back room. They have a wide variety of flavors ranging from my personal favorite in browned butter and sea salt, to the classic cheddar, the Chicago style mix, to ones with nuts, chocolate, and other add ins. Give this place a try if you have yet to go and make sure you pick up one of their punch cards, because you’ll be there again soon.

I love this place! I’m so glad they are a part of Bellevue Square and able to sway consumers away from unhealthy buttery pretzels, cinnamon rolls, and candy promising diabetes. Their product is great and reasonably priced. Love the flavors they incorporate and how nice everyone is.
Staff is great and always positive to my indecisiveness. I do have one thing to say which is I don’t like my flavors mixed personally so sometimes I will find a random flavor in my bag. No worries, it’s completely understandable knowing that popcorn is hard to control. Definitely choose this as a snacking option if you’re at the mall.

Bellevue Square Mall considers itself too posh to have a food court. So, there are a few eateries dotted around like Red Mango and some fast food style places
However, I do like Popcorn Pavilion, which is a little gem for a snack. It’s a small but perfectly formed popcorn store. A nice variety of popcorn with samples on offer.
I had fallen in love with American popcorn in Chicago where companies like Garrett and Nuts on Clark sell amazing popcorn. So, appropriately, I found my favourite flavour at Popcorn Pavilion to be Chicago style — a mix of caramel and cheddar popcorn. Yes, I know it sounds a litle odd but trust me, the combination of sweet carameal and cheesy savoury cheddar popcorn is a marriage made in heaven
They do also have a way of making the popcorn remain crisp for a few days, which I have yet to master
One last little tip is that the popcorn here is cheaper and tastier than at the nearby cinema in Lincoln Square mall. However, you will have to be discreet in bringing it into the cinema

I laughed this place off. A friend needed some bottled water on our long mall trek, and as she said «let’s just go someplace with no line.» She nodded over to the Popcorn Pavilion and I said something along the lines of «of course there’s no line… who buys that stuff?!»
She purchases her water and the nice young clerk offers us a sample. I say that I would try the buttered popcorn – classic, simple, but I can’t imagine that some cheesy looking popcorn place could have a decent butter flavor. One bite. Woah. It tastes like movie popcorn! Like… actual movie popcorn. But without all the greasiness and sogginess of room temp movie popcorn. What pact with the devil is this?
So I also try the s’mores flavor. Y.U.M. I bought a bag of butter popcorn to take home to my husband and vow to come back to try other flavors someday when I am back on the Eastside. Hubby is not as much of a movie popcorn fanatic as I am, and usually I eat most of it and he occasionally asks me to pass him the bag to share. This time he tasted it and very clearly stated he wanted his half. He loved it. Then he was sad I didn’t buy any other flavors.
So there you go, from skeptic to convert! I will be back and try many more!

I frickin love this place!!! Seeing that I’m a popcorn freak this is the perfect place for me to just sit down n relax n sample all the goodness this place has to offer. You will be amazed at how many different ways n flavors one can make popcorn, from your basic kettle corn to my personal favorite Hawaiian salted caramel. Also I love that the workers are nice n friendly n don’t get pushy about trying to sell me a bag even tho I sample every flavor.

Popcorn perfection!
Great variety of popcorn snacks, sweet, savory or simple. They also do mail order for your out-​of-​state popcorn lovers. I highly recommend their classics, especially the cheddar, Chicago or brown butter and sea salt.
If they opened a Seattle location I would be there every week.

How is this place still open? The service is aways awful in the 3 times I have visited. I feel like they are trying to hire the laziest most pissed off people here. Which is too bad because the popcorn is good and the prices are not too excessive.

This place is tucked in a corner of Bellevue Square. It’s right by the Macy’s home store. My husband and I came here because we had purchased a coupon from google offers. I think it was $ 5 for $ 10 worth of popcorn.
This place is really cute and the staff are super friendly. They greet you right away and ask if you want samples. You can sample everything if you’d like! You can mix and match the flavors but I chose to get one bag of the sweet banana and my husband got the Hawaiian flavor. Both were amazing and I can’t wait to go back and try the other flavors with or without the google offer!
This place is not a chain so Bellevue is the only place you will find it… or you can visit their website. They also do events so if you are planning a party, flavorful crunchy popcorn could be a great party favor.

Service: Hit and miss from what I’ve heard from friends and family. Luckily for me I routinely get amazing service. Maybe it’s because I have only visited on weekends when they have plenty of staff.
Product: Fresh, huge kernels of amazing popcorn. I especially enjoy mixing ½ Kettle and ½ Brown Butter & Sea Salt for a well balanced sweet/​salty mix (a staff suggestion). My kids love the White Cheddar. Banana is also great but pretty darn sweet with the crunchy banana chips blended in. Caramel corn is good and keeps for at least a week.

The popcorn from this place is mindblowing. Of course it should be being that they specialize in popcorn. My favorite is Pecan Caramel. My daughter enjoys the taffy candy they sell for 10¢ each. They are always kind and willing to give popcorn samples. At first I thought the price was a bit high. That was until I opened the bag of goodness and realized they really pack the bags full and you get what you pay for. My mother-​in-​law sent my hubby popcorn through the mail for his last birthday from an online retailer. That stuff was awful compared to what this place makes. I never realized popcorn could be made in so many ways!

Jalapeño cheddar popcorn is my version of heroin or crack… SERIOUSLY… it’s so good I always end up buying a large and going home to eat it all… by myself… no sharing!
Another one I’ve recently found… BUTTER AND SEA SALT… it’s like a burst of butter flavor in every bite! OMG! makes me so happy!
I’ve probably had too many bags to count already but I still yearn for more. Okay, now let’s get something else straight. if you’re buying gourmet popcorn in BELLEVUE SQUARE… get a grip, you’re going to pay more than you «think you should» (BTW, do any of you complaining even know how much rent is here? It’s insane!!!). They could be so rude because people would buy this stuff anyway, but they are so sweet and patient while you try stuff and figure out what your poison will be. This is so worth it, it’s not even worth mentioning. It’s so delicious and wonderful, it’s just ridiculous… I’m sure they have a cult following at this point. I’m one of those zombies and I’m not ashamed to admit it!

One word: Rocky road popcorn!
Great place to pick up munchies or a gift for the folks back home (the sealed popcorn in bags will hold up best to a plane flight). Samples are available to help you pick from all of the varieties. Service was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing quality popcorn, good service and very clean location. A great find thanks to Groupon and a place I would be happy to return to. It is a little on the pricey side, but it is Bellevue and it is some very very good popcorn!

I usually stay away from these places in the mall because most of the small foodie mall places just are, well, nasty! When I was walking by Popcorn Pavilion though I couldn’t help but be lured by the salty sweet aroma. It’s cool because you can watch the guy in the back making special popcorn, it’s all done by hand but the artisan flair doesn’t skyrocket the price which I consider a huge bonus!
They’ve got about 6 or so flavors which are very good BUT I can’t get past my favorite… Caramel Popcorn with Cashews!!! MMMmmm tasty right? Popcorn. check…Sugar…check…Butter…check…Salt…check!.. and some nuts just because! YIPPEE, Popcorn Pavilion… I heart you!

I LOVE popcorn and I consider myself a popcorn connoisseur, this place’s «sea salt and butter» popcorn is the BEST I have ever tasted. Bar none. The correct amount of saltiness and butter flavor not too greasy. In fact it is so good I need to have a bag once a week. They have many different flavors but every time I am there i could not resist getting my «usual». I think what impressed me about their popcorn is that they are not just «a bit better», they are «a LOT better». Also any leftovers stay relatively fresh in the paper bag for about 2 to 3 days.
I know people shop in Bellevue Square and by convenience they would get a bag to snack on. Well, I go to Bellevue Square just for the popcorn and by convenience I will buy a pair of jeans or something.
A MUST TRY if you love popcorn

I love popcorn (not obsessively) and when I found out that they were a local company, I hearted them even more! They have some interesting and unique flavors along with the classics! I’ve tried the green tea popcorn (ehhh — too weird for me), the Seattle popcorn (caramel with coffee flavor — ok, but I couldn’t eat too much of it), and white cheddar (good, but the cheese gets to be too strong so you can’t eat the whole bag in one sitting). They also make their popcorn in the back, so you can peek in and watch the whole process. Sometimes they’re not even in the front of the store, so you may have to be a bit patient. My friend absolutely LOVES this stuff! It’s a bit pricey for popcorn, so I can’t stop in too often, but if you get one of their tins and bring it back (if clean), they’ll fill it up with more popcorn at a discount! I can’t wait to try out all of their flavors!

This popcorn is delicious! They have the most unique flavors you can imagine (banana, rocky road, Chicago style, caramel macadamia, jalapeño white cheddar) and they all rock! They actually make all the popcorn in their tiny little store so it’s always fresh and warm!
And they really don’t skimp on the popcorn as all of their bags are always brimming with the scrumptious kernels. I’m’ always amazed at how young the owner is and how nice she and her mom are. They are amazing business people! And if you work in the mall (Bellevue Square) be sure to tell them so because you get a discount.

I found out about this place on twitter & the tweet sounded so mouth watering haha, so I had to check this place out. I was greeted very welcoming with great customer service. They ask you to sample to your hearts content until you find your favorite flavor. I bought a bag of Seattle Style & topped it off with Butter & Sea Salt. =P They have a healthy option called Green Tea & Sea Salt flavor, which uses organic popcorn and matcha green tea powder, and contains high levels of antioxidants and fiber. They also sell Dolle’s salt water taffy and a range of nuts.
The next time I watch a movie at Lincoln Square Cinemas, I’m sneaking some of this Popcorn in =D
