Byron, son of company founder Raymond Tate, has been with Tru-Line since 1969. My brother is a car-fanatic, which means that he’s extremely picky about where I take my car for any sort of service. When I needed an alignment several years ago, he did a good deal of research to find a shop that was reputable, affordable, and that warrantied all of its work – this led him to Tru-Line.
I’ve now taken my car to Tru-Line several times (for alignment & brake pad replacement) and feel confident about recommending Tru-Line to others. Their work is excellent and relatively affordable, especially compared to other shops in the area. (Believe me, my brother’s checked).
Beyond their work, they truly are a company with integrity. Byron, Pete, and Sasha are all lovely people to work with, and are extremely professional and polite. One of my favorite aspects about Tru-Line is that they are very upfront and honest about their pricing and work. Recently, we had a misunderstanding about a service they performed on my car. After alerting them to this, they resolved the matter in my favor within 24 hours. Even more, they take their warranty on their services pretty seriously – if there is any issue after they’ve done work on your car, they are happy to review their work and fix any problems. I will definitely continue to go to Tru-Line and recommend that others read these reviews and see how much Tru-Line’s clients value their integrity and excellent work.

Byron was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was concerned that my Nissan Altima needed new tires, but after a look by Byron, he assured me that all I really needed was an alignment. I was able to schedule the alignment in just a few days and the work was done very efficiently. I will definitely be going back for future auto repair needs.

Great service! I needed alignment done but since I live a little far from home I had to wait here while it was getting done. The guy decided to get to the alignment right away so I didn’t have to wait for too long. Now if you ask me that’s amazing for someone to do. The price was a little high but with their service it was definitely worth it. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I just took in our second BMW M series to be serviced. I was so impressed by the response of the handling with the first one that I presumed an anomaly. Not so. The second, a 99 M Roadster. was totally dialed in during this visit. The tramlining disappeared and light-fingered steering was restored. My appointment was at 6:00 A.M. on a Monday morning and Byron was there to open the door when I arrived 5 minutes early.
Here’s the interesting part: I snapped a bolt on the X frame a few weeks earlier. Byron picked it off within five minutes of my arrival and asked if I wanted it attended to. Most places would try to shame you into having them to do the work. Not the case with Tru-Line. It was simply a legitimate offer to perfect the situation while I was there for service.
I really appreciate the throwback level of service and the integrity.

I’ve been using Tru-Line for years to swap wheels+tire sets for summer and winter on various Audi’s and Porsche’s. Got tires put on here after ordering from Tire Rack, followed by an alignment a couple weeks after. Tire install was timely with no damage to wheels or any other issues.
Alignment also went very smoothly. Ended up coming back an additional two times for some adjustments (not anything to do with the alignment job done) which they did in under 15 minutes with no additional charge.
Owner /staff clearly know what they are doing and stand by their work. Receptionist was great and even gave me a ride back to work. A+ service. Will be back again.

Outstanding service! I showed up a half hour early and they didn’t bat an eye and were able to start right away. Pete (the manager) is a super nice guy, very informative and showed great patience with all of my ignorant questions. He pointed out several areas of concern that I need to address outside of the normal alignment issues. Best $ 180 I ever spent. Two thumbs way, way up!

I recently purchased new tires through
and had them drop shipped to Tru-Line in Bellevue. They installed the new tires and did a fantastic job with the 4 wheel alignment, required for front wheel drive cars. My Honda CR-V is three years old and after the work performed by Tru-Line, it drove better than when new.
If you want assembly line type work and service, go to a big named tire retailer for new tires. If you own an exotic or performance car, your needs would be best served at Tru-Line. They are detail oriented, know tires and alignment, and I highly recommend them.

Tru-Line Bellevue is indeed worthy of all its acclaim and accolades and 5-star reviews. I just had new wheels put on my new Tesla 85D and had a full alignment. Although the car is brand new and had less than 100 miles on it, Pete identified an alignment issue; Byron and Pete fully explained it to me in frank and simple terms; I was a well-informed customer; and now the car is fully in spec. Both Byron and Pete took their time and answered all my questions fully and completely.
Equally as important, Byron’s commitment to 1,000% customer satisfaction is truly amazing and, if fact, left me a bit speechless. Byron sets the bar for all to follow and live up to. Thanks Byron for being best in class.
They offer complete satisfaction and I will be bringing my car in at 5,000 miles for their free tire and alignment check to be sure all is holding true.

If you are concerned about the final product, this is the place to come. I bought a used 4runner with over 200k miles, and the previous owners had let a few things go. Byron diagnosed the steering shudder quickly, and was able to fix every shake that the car had from steering, to cruising, to braking. They were able to do a Tundra brake swap and now it drives like it should have from the factory.

I ordered two sets of tires through
and had Tru-Line do the alignment and mount and installs for both my cars. I read all the reviews for both their Seattle and Bellevue locations. They had almost all 5 star reviews. Here is one more, well earned, 5 star review.
From the moment I emailed them. They were quick to respond. They were able to do both my cars in the promised amount of time, all in one day. Once the work was completed Byron carefully went over various charts of what the alignment looked like before the work was completed and what it was after the work was done. He went over correct tire inflation pressures that I should be aware of and also to come back every 5,000 miles just so they could check the tire patterns to ensure everything was in alignment. Prior to any work being done they asked for the weight of the primary driver and also passenger weights if they rode with you over 40% of the time. Talk about attention to detail!
I took one of my cars to Canada this past week. The tracking and the way it drove was better than brand new!
I love Tru-Line’s professionalism, customer service and follow up. Their attention to detail and the results of the work that was completed. What a gift to find their shop. I love it when I can do business with people I trust that do excellent work. Their price is justified because of the excellent work that they provide.

Byron and Peter did a fantastic job on my Porsche 911. Tru-Line has done the alignment and corner balancing on several Porsches for me and they always turn out great. This time was great because I had just rebuilt the suspension and was looking for a certain ride height and rake and Peter send me photos of the car before he pulled it off the rack. We both decided it needed to be dropped a bit more in the front and it looks great, drives straight, turns wonderfully and it feels very well set up.

This is a place where you get what you pay for. Their alignments are more expensive than other places, but I think they do better quality work than the cheaper places. And they have a nice personal touch.
I had a new set of tires installed on my car today. Because the old tires had an uneven wear pattern, it was time for an alignment. I chose Tru-Line based on Unilocal reviews and found the positive reviews to be spot-on.
I was happy to see that when a measurement was still within spec, but at an upper or lower value of the spec range, they made an adjustment to bring it to the middle of the range. They also provide good advice on tire pressure and offer to recheck tire wear after some time.
They’ll have my business in the future!

Excellent experience here. Byron gave me a detailed and accurate quote after I walked in. I was removing a set of coilovers from my GTI and supplying a new suspension.
They did an excellent install, and I’m much happier with the car now.
I failed to order a set of steering links that worked with my new suspension, so they ordered them the same day, and installed them the next morning. I would highly recommend Tru-line!

I was recommended this shop by Ishii Motors, who I trust implicitly. Again, they were right — this place is stellar.
I had the pleasure of working with Pete on my 1988 CRX Si. He was able to set everything within my requested specifications, and was happy to make suggestions, teach me a bit, and work with me through the whole process.
When I picked it up, he provided me with printouts of all of the geometries, as well as recommendations for future work and what to keep an eye one.
They’re not cheap, but their friendliness and expertise is worth the price.
