Udupi Café and Chaat Corner serves delicious vegetarian Indian cuisine. The dishes Udupi serves makes us very different from other Indian restaurants. We use the highest quality ingredients and our food shows our focus on health and wellness. Several South Indian favorites include our Masala Dosa and Vada. All of our dosas are served with a delicious sambar and chutney, and we have over 20 dosas to choose from. We make everything in-​house, including our delicious breads. We truly do have the best dosas in the Seattle area.

The way we see it, every day should be celebrated starting with the food you eat. And for us, every celebration starts with unique and inspired dishes created from the freshest ingredients available. At UdupiCafe, special isn’t something that comes around once a year. It’s something you’ll find here every night of the week.

History

Established in 2011.

Our name, Udipi, comes from the coastal city in Southern India. Blessed with the oldest culture in civilization and surrounded by famous historical temples, monuments, treasured art and architecture, the area attracts tourist and luminaries worldwide. Residents speak many languages yet live harmoniously without regard to cast, creed, race or sex.

Diversity of the surrounding vicinity affords land rich and fertile and ideally suitable for farming. Rice is a staple of the diet and there is a constant supply of fresh fruit and vegetables incorporated into the local cuisine that forms the basis of countless vegetarian dishes mildly spiced and less subtle.

At Udipi Café and Chaat Corner you’ll find a good niche to sample a taste of the rich history and culture of Hindustan. A mere sub continental sampling of dishes reveals a startling swing from rich hearty foods to lighter, flavorful tropical fare. Local chefs assume enormous pride in cultivating carius aromatic and exotic recipes.

Operated by VK and Prashanth, we’ve had a strong background with other local restaurants, such as Mysore Masala in Redmond and Navya Lounge in Seattle. Udupi’s popularity is well deserved and a result of our unstinting efforts to bring South Indian food to the forefront in Seattle.
