Woods-​Morse & Associates helps the personal representative of the estate, sometimes known as the administrator or executor, navigate the paperwork necessary to transfer all kinds of property from one generation to the next.

I started law school at the University of Virginia twenty years ago. While there, I was a plaintiff in a case that made its way to the United States Supreme Court. Attending the nation’s best public law school and winning a Supreme Court case left me feeling like I could do anything with my life. The problem with being able to do anything as Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project, observed is that actually doing something seems like such a let down.

At first, I tried to solve that problem by doing everything and working in a general practice law firm that did just that. Wills. Deeds. Divorces. Personal injury. Corporate law. Then, in 1999 I was recruited by a D.C. area firm to organize the front end (public awareness and case evaluation) of a mass torts campaign and that job lead me to work for the Consumer Justice Group doing many of the same kinds of work.

Now, I’m an experienced, middle-​aged lawyer and if I can raise four children then maybe I really can do anything.
