Nice food and friendly people. Dining place is small but really enjoyed it. And still open when everything else is closed! Lifesaver!

Can I negative star this place! I have never ever been treated so horrible. I came in 15 mins before close to get some carne fries she was rude and not happy I was there. The couple behind me wanted to order a side of rice and beans for their baby and she said no because they’re closing they don’t have them. When I got my fries I asked for hot sauce and she told me no because they were closing I couldn’t have any. When I said really she said yes we close soon. What in the actual hell, you’re open so there for you can give me hot sauce. I get if you ran out of beans but really.

Price is at the right range for a large Carne Asada fries and extra add ons. It was very delicious. This is my new snack spot on the days I go to school(cerritos college) The lady at the register is very nice. I order the Carne Asada fries with Pico de Gallo and extra beans and extra sour cream. I paid $ 9. Eat it quick it starts to taste weird if you let it sit around for too long… Yes I will be coming back.

I personal love the carne asada fries from here BUT, the last time I was there right before closing I ordered the the carne asada fries with extra guacamole the lady debited my card for $ 11 and some change, instead of saying we’re almost close or anything. They just made only fries and put all the sauces with no carne asada. When I got home to eat, I was highly disappointed. I called the place to see if anyone would answer out of luck and the cashier did, i told her the situation, and all she said was we’re closed. im highly disappointed. Check your food before you leave at least. I dont wish that tragedy on anyone. Continue post the day after. Today I went back brought the food back and explained to the lady. they gave me a whole new order, with no charge. Im grateful for that. it looks like they kept a customer. FYI just check your food before you leave.:) I had to add a couple more stars for me not having to get out of character and raise hell.

If you don’t speak Spanish — they assume you don’t know Mexican food. I keep returning for the carne asada fries hoping they will get better or at least get more polite with their customer service. Unfortunately– like I said if you don’t order in Spanish– you’re treated differently. So I have had to wait extra longer so those that speak Spanish and ordered 10 minutes after me get their order first. Probably will never return again after the conduct today.

Very disappointed! Just came into Alberts at 3:20pm. Ordered Super Nachos and a Carne Asada Burrito($ 14.92) I let the lady know I can’t have any guacamole in my food because my husband is allergic to it and she said ok. I seen the guy make the burrito and I said he is putting guacamole. She said it wasn’t mine. I said ok. She then proceeds to bag he burrito and tells me my order is ready. I told her that this was the burrito with guacamole and she then says you said everything and I said yes and no guacamole. I need another one because my husband and eat this. She shrugged her shoulders and said sorry. So not only did it take about 25 minutes to get my food what really irritates me is that it was still wrong! Now I’m not one to cause a scene in a public place but this is not great customer service at all! Not only was my burrito wrong, when I got home I opened my nachos and they were mainly chips with no beans or any other toppings. Again I am super disappointed in the service as well as upset that I wasted $ 14.92!

I’d rate Albert’s a 3 – 3.5 because they’ve never disappointed me, and well, it’s cheap Mexican that’s pretty tasty for the most part. Oh, and they’re open late to satisfy my late night greasy food cravings when I really just don’t want to settle for a fast food joint. I’ve been coming here for about a decade and I’ve found the items that I like, and I’ve pretty much stuck with them. I’m a huge fan of their super fries. Basically it’s like their super nachos, but on top of fresh French fries. Their pollo asado(grilled chicken) is my preferred meat of choice, and it’s almost always juicy and flavorful. Occasionally it’s dry, but that’s normal because every joint is hit or miss. Super fries consist of the meat of your choice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and pico de gallo. They have a –slightly– smaller version, the mini fries, but frankly it doesn’t seem much smaller. Their tacos are always crispy and made fresh, the carnitas is okay, but all to often it’s pretty dry. Carne asada is probably the best choice if you’re not sure what to get because they have yet to mess this one up. They also have a marinated chicken that I’m not a fan of because it has funky tomatoes in it that taste like they’ve been cooked far to long. Their salsa bar is decent when it’s full, but lately they’ve been packing up the salsas early, or not refilling them, so they sit there empty. When asked if they could refill, the employees stare at you like you just made the most absurd request they’ve heard all day. It has the standard veggies(radishes, sliced carrots, jalapeños, banana peppers, etc) and then a hot, mild and medium red salsa, and a watery green salsa that isn’t good at all. Their taquitos are really good, and they have an option for like 10 taquitos for a cheap price. Mostly I tend to order the super fries, California burrito(they add French fries), or their tacos. The rice I’ve had on occasion isn’t moist at all, and seems like it’s been overcooked. The employees are so-so. Most of them expect you to order in Spanish, and when you don’t, some of them make a «tsk» noise and scribble your order out. A few of the other employees are more friendly, but it just kinda seems like a handful of them don’t even want to be there. That’s not my fault, so don’t take your not so pleasant attitude out on me. They also really need to work on keeping the 6 tables they have inside cleaner. If it’s busy, I understand scrambling to clean, but when it’s slow or completely empty, no excuse to have dirty tables whatsoever in my opinion. Or even a sticky floor. It is what it is, and I never dine in, so I don’t have to deal with it I suppose. The place itself used to be a drive thru, but is no longer. Bright yellow paint makes the building easy to see on the corner, and parking is behind and usually there is plenty unless you come on Sunday when they seem to be more busy than a normal day. I honestly don’t come here for the décor, or the«friendly» service, but the food is good so, I keep coming back. If you’re in the area and it’s past 10:30pm, stop at Albert’s if you want a greasy, quick, cheap Mexican food. It’ll satisfy you, and it’s like most other hole in the wall places, for the most part, it’s good. You just have to know what to order.

We only go to this place because it is the nearest and latest restaurant open but I wouldn’t say it is one of my favorites. Although it isn’t the best Carne Asada fries I’ve tasted, it sure isn’t the worst. The burritos are definitely not worth the try, the best thing on the menu would probably have to be the Carne Asada fries, but it isn’t up there with the best that I’ve tasted in other Mexican food places. The guacamole is too overpowered by the taste of the onions, it doesn’t actually taste like guacamole. The beans are completely flavorless and it is topped with way too much cheese, that it’s practically the only thing you can taste. One of the things I hate about this place is how rude the cashier lady is, every single time I go, she is far from friendly and does not seem to have any good customer service skills. Wouldn’t recommend unless there isn’t any other choice!

This place is plain gross to me. I was at this location about an hour ago and couldn’t wait to write this review. For one they don’t add beans and rice to your burrito. what kind of Mexican place is this? lol the chile and avocado they add has no flavor, I almost felt as if I was eating a watered down yet dry ass burrito. The tortilla was even cold! Haha this place is ridiculous. Last but not least the lady that took my order was as dry as those burritos. Her attitude is the main reason why I wouldn’t come back here to try anything else. This is not a real Mexican restaurant.

The home of super fries and late night mexican food. This place is still good but the price have gone way up and out of control. Maybe a once in a while gig but no more«I want some super fries» runs anymore.

When I first came into the restaurant, I had a gut feeling that I would regret eating here but I ignored the feeling anyways. 3 hours later, I’m right here vomiting everything I just ate. Lesson learned; that little voice inside my head is always right.

1. This is NOT a drive thru, I think it used to be, but not anymore. 2. The cook doesn’t wear gloves and I saw him touching my food with bare hands. 3. The rice and beans were bland and old. 4. The cheese enchilada was way too greasy, not melted enough, and oddly spicy. 5. The beef taco was also too greasy and fell apart before I could get halfway through it. 6. The Jamaica sucked. I ate about half my food then just threw it away cause it was too gross. Bummer lunch.

Amazing fresh Mexican food. I’ve had the grilled shrimp plate and it’s huge. I can never finish it all — so it makes for some good leftovers later on. Venue is a small as far as eating in but it’s clean and service is pleasant.

Ok I give them two stars because the food was actually pretty good! Shrimp tacos were delish! I’ve been once before right before closing and like a lot of other Unilocalers mentioned, they start cleaning up early and they run out of food. I mean if you want to go home right at closing then maybe you should change your hours?! Just saying! There’s plenty of parking. Your mexican food basics: tacos, tortas, burritos, taquitos, quesadilla etc. They have a nice salsa bar. Pretty good taco salsas. But, the customer service is horrible!!! The girl working tonight; was texting while I ordered. There’s a long pause while she’s on her iPhone scrolling her screen. Then she looks up and ask what would I like to order? I repeat my order to her and yet another pause while she continues to scroll her screen then says ok what was that? Are you kidding!!! She was rudely speaking to her other customers. Conversing with the cook while a line of 4 or more where waiting. She’s the only one taking orders. Absolutely no sense of customer service and that kind of service will plummet their profit. If they had nicer staff who were there to actually customer service and try to increase sales then they would have a line out the door! Making money$$$. But, nope! I’m not going there again.
