I had a great experience getting my car fixed at this shop. The owner Troy is very honest and his prices are very reasonable. His workmanship is excellent and he gets the job done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs to get their car serviced. You won’t be disappointed, Troy is the best in the business.

Fairly new in the area and I’m glad I found this spot. Troy’s a great guy and is always helpful whenever I stop in for an oil change or a engine light check up. He was very accommodating and does work fast. This place is honest and isn’t just trying to make a quick buck off their customers. Finding an honest mechanic is rare nowadays. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Fast, honest and friendly. A+ for this place.

I lived in Bellflower for a year and found Karmasters on Unilocal!With glowing reviews I came by for maintenance on a Civic and was not disappointed. I felt the honesty, care, and consideration without any pushy up-​selling or random high-​profit recommendations.
All I got was solid (well & fast) service with friendly smiles! This is exactly what all auto mechanics should be like!
Like most laymen, I have questions about car things and don’t feel allowed to ask mechanics but here, I do! I get my answers with mindful expertise. You won’t get that «I’m getting ripped off right now» feeling or experience here!
I moved back down deep in OC now but I drove up here today for an oil change and more.
In life, people ask where have all the good men gone, because there seems to be none left (that’s a whole other thing about bad parenting, dumb life philosophy, trust in self-​love, looking in all the wrong places, and lack of agreeableness, which we will address some other time). In auto repair, I’d say a bunch of the good mechanics have gone right here to Karmasters!

Im very happy with my car being serviced here, my fiancé bought me a 2^nd hand car and every breakdown my car had Troy, the owner, helped fix with decent price. I appreciate his work, the transmission gave up and he gave me a really good price, i did do my research on the price before I had it fixed, that crap is expensive to fix. Troy has a clean and relaxing place to sit while waiting and is very friendly. The restroom was suitable too, clean and always has the supplies needed. He is my parents go to mechanic as well and TRUST my Dad is not one to be messed with. Thanks Troy!

What a hidden gem! I’m glad I found this place, by total accident! I just wanted something close to my home and a mechanic that was honest. I recently left my other mechanic of 4 years because of his dishonesty and gauging prices. Totally upset and leery of any other mechanic, but I decided to try out Karmaster. I came in the first time for just a regular oil change; I wanted to get a feel for the place and to see the way the mechanics carry themselves.
I was totally surprised how professional & informative Troy was; he took me to my car and showed me what was wrong, what certain parts in your car do what and what should be fixed and what could wait etc.
I came back again recently and spent $ 352.00 on an oil leak, water pump, spark plugs and a new gas cap. I used the 15% off check in offer on their Unilocal page and it saved me $ 60.00.
I’ll be coming back to drop $ 600.00 on some transmission work; cheapest rate ever.

Excellent work and customer service. Prices are a lot cheaper than the dealers and Troy the owner is awesome. He was very honest with what needs to be done and if it can wait he lets you know, unlike other shops they tell you, you need this and that. I will not go to any other shop to fix my car. Great experience getting my car fixed here. Troy was very polite, very helpful, and fixed my car in record time. I had originally taken my car to the nearest mechanic when the engine light came on. They were very rude and quoted me extremely high. I was recommended to Karmasters by a friend, so I called and Troy helped me out ASAP. I had my car towed over and it was fixed within the day. My car had never really needed any work done (it is still relatively new) but after this experience I have now found my go to mechanic. It also helps that they are located down the street from house and I can walk home if needed. Excellent find!

Writing this post on behalf of my dad since he doesn’t have a Unilocal.Haha anyways my dad, Bernard, went here to get his car’s axel output seal fixed. Troy was very reliable and offered him a reasonable and affordable price as compared to other shops. As soon as the car’s problem was fixed, my dad got a call right away to go ahead and pick up the car.
Overall a job well done! There have been no leaks or anything. However, if any future problems were to arise, Troy told my dad to let him know of the issue and that he’d take care of it. Definitely would recommend others to come here for the great customer service and reliable shop repairs!

I wouldn’t normally write a review on a mechanic shop, since they’re all kinda the same, right? Wrong! Not this shop!
It’s so hard to find an honest mechanic to trust your vehicle with. I’ve been to so many different shops where I’ll come in with one problem and leave with ten. I’ve taken my car to this shop five times, and every time, the customer service is excellent, the service level is excellent. The repairs are completed at the time promised by the mechanics. If the repairs are going to be expensive, the owner helps you find workable solutions and options. And the cost of repairs is surprisingly cheater than other shops that I’ve been to. Surprising, because the quality of work is unparalleled.
If your car needs repairs, take it here! You won’t regret it!

In all fairness I was referred to this place because of its long standing reputable service. I do have mechanical background and the only reason I brought my car to a shop is because I no longer have much time to do repairs on my own car and I don’t own a code scanner. I had a check engine light on my 2008 scion xd with no apparent symptoms. I brought it in and had to leave it over night because it was the end of the day. The next day they called me back with the news of my #2 ignition coil being faulty. Their suggestion for repair was to replace the coil and change the spark plugs. I gave a verbal go ahead and I picked the car up the next day.
Now I am not going to point fingers and wreak havoc on this whole establishment because any garage can have its own bad apples. But it only takes one to ruin a business’ reputation. I suspect with the two sets of handwriting on my repair order that my car may have been passed on to a novice, green horn or just someone else for the diagnosis and repair without me knowing. I was referred to a specific gentleman and I expected him to do the work.
Four months later, my car presents a misfire that almost gets me into an accident. I had stalling symptoms and almost got rear ended at an intersection by the car behind me which skid pretty far to stop just inches away. I could have been pushed into the middle of an intersection! With no immediate money for a mechanic I decided to tackle the problem myself. Since it’s history was with a faulty coil I started inspecting all my ignition coils and spark plugs. To my surprise, all my ignition coils were still stock, the #2 ignition coil was never replaced and my spark plugs were still the same spark plugs I had installed before.
Today I just replaced the #2 ignition coil and all the spark plugs. The car ran normally and I deduced that whoever worked on my car only reset my cars computer clearing the check engine light. I paid $ 308.00 for the service that was never done. BE CAREFUL! KNOW WHO WORKS ON YOUR CAR AND HAVE THEM SHOW YOU THE WORK! I suspect a shady person here. I hope whoever did this has been fired!
