Alignment and Brakes Plus is a lifesaver — and Jon is the BEST. I called in five minutes AFTER they closed, to make an appointment for the next morning and Jon STILL answered. Talk about dedication. He was able to get me in for some brake work the next morning! Unfortunately, the next morning, I overslept and missed the drop off time. I called Jon, frantically apologizing for my mistake and he told me to come anyway, that he could try to squeeze me in, but the car might have to stay overnight. I was okay with that. When I asked him about a price estimate for my brakes he told me $ 350 or more depending on many factors. The actual price was 2 $ more than he quoted! Ecstatic!

Shane and the crew are a delight to work with… they are like a throwback to a time when you could trust your mechanics. I have had three jobs done on my elderly Volvo and each time the work was excellent and the price surprisingly low.
I cannot recommend their work and service highly enough. Don’t hesitate!

I had a great shop but it was 20+ miles away, so I tried this shop because of the reviews I read.
I knew the work I wanted done and told them to do brakes all around.
When I went to pick up the vehicle, I was told that the rear brakes were good.
That is pretty impressive, I had given them permission (an invitation) to do the work.
I guess my sterling review is as much for what they didn’t do.
The other great thing about this shop is that you can talk to them about the details of the work. Most shops like to keep you uneducated about your vehicle and the sense that everything’s a mystery and that they work magic when repairing it.

These guys were great. I brought my truck in for an oil change and a look over because I had been hearing some odd noises. They pinpointed the issue and fixed it (it happens to be an easy fix but had eluded a few others). And they didn’t even charge me for the extra time. I would definitely go back.

Called Shane for a quote on some spendy work another shop wanted to do. Not only was the work quoted for a much more affordable rate, but they caught an incorrect diagnosis given by the initial shop and informed me of the work that actually needed to be done to fix the issue. Honest, professional, good communication with customers, and the car was done in less than two days on very short notice.

From the phone call service I got for a quote on my car alignment to my departure from that place I am well satisfied and happy with my decision and service.
There well informed with every car product and help with great suggestions. Staff and even the owner Shane have been really helpful and friendly!
They havr coffee and ice cold water as well as magazines to read in the waiting room. Check it out!

I have been a customer for years and if the work is not needed they won’t recommend that it be done. They are my number one choice by far. Quick, honest, priced below the competition and very, very helpful. I would recommend Alignment to all. They have even did my warranty maintenance at half the price of the dealership.

The man I bought my car from (used) 7 years ago recommended Shane and I’ve never used anyone else. I really hate not being a savvy consumer, but the truth is — I know nothing about cars and engines. Shane has been so good to me. He has never pressured me into unnecessary repairs, has stood by all the bids he has given and is unfailingly kind and courteous. More than once, I went to him just to see if my car would be okay to drive the 6+ hours to mom’s house (over the pass) and he checked systems out for me. In 7 years, I’ve replace the timing belt, a couple of hoses, had brake work done and a few other things I can’t recall. Prices were always fair and there was never a question about the quality of the work after I drove away.

I found this place by googling «best brakes in Bellingham» or else I wouldn’t have found these reviews. I brought in my 2002 Honda Civic for a brake check and received very good service. Shane had my brakes checked while I waited for about ½ an hour and then was able to get me in the next business day. He noticed that my front rotors were applying pressure unevenly and had a quick and simple fix. He was able to get me in the next business day and replace the pads, turned the rotors (in shop) and put some no-​seize on the slides to prevent the calipers from applying pressure unevenly. All for $ 189+tax.
I am also getting a bid from Shane for a timing belt and from what he quoted off the top of his head and his price and expertise is very good. He is also listed as Affordable Mopeds and Cycles but it looks like I found my new B’ham mechanic! My wife also talked to him about used vehicles in the area and he has a quite a bit of knowledge about the local used car dealers. If I were in the market for a used car I would definitely talk to Shane about it and bring it in to him for a pre-​buy check.

I needed rear brakes, rotors, and an alignment. After calling for about 8 different quotes in Seattle and Bellingham, I found this place! The price was unbelievably low and the guy was very helpful on the phone, so I made an appointment for when I’d be up for a long weekend. He said he’d order the parts ahead of time. I dropped my car off, and it was done quickly. He gave me helpful information about how to get my new tires cross-​rotated (I have 4WD), told me a little about my car’s brakes, and I left feeling happy and more knowledgeable about my car.
The prices can’t be beat! I paid HALF of what it would have cost at large chain auto shops, and being able to make an appointment made it incredibly easy. Keep the money in our local economy and have a good experience, instead of waiting for hours at a large, overpriced, first-​come-​first serve chain. You won’t be disappointed here!

Not only are they the best price in town for wheel alignment (I think I paid about $ 45?), but they are super nice.
I went in on May 1st for an alignment. On May 5th, I was rear-​ended. I went back to have them check and see if the accident threw the car back out of alignment, and they didn’t even charge me for it!
Great guys, amazing price, and I highly recommend them.
