Bamboo Express

First time ordering from Bamboo Express and it was very good. The person who answers the phone is friendly and helpful in taking your order and with menu ?‘s. She was also upfront that delivery was running 45 minutes and they were right on time.
The General Gao chicken was moist and the sauce was very good. The shrimp in lobster sauce was excellent, there sauce is darker and a little saltier (that’s how I like it).
Will become a regular!

After hearing about how great the Bamboo Express was, we finally decided to try it. We went in on a Sunday afternoon. The place was quiet due to it being mid afternoon, but it was very nice inside and very clean as well.
We were met and greeted by Paul, the manager. He sat us and told us about the menu. Being our first time, we asked him for some recommendations. We started with a PuPu platter for two. Honestly, it was simply the best and freshest PuPu platter we’ve had in years! Delicious and piping hot, everything was fantastic!
We then ordered the house rice, three delights in garlic sauce and using noodles. And again, everything was simply PERFECT. This place is truly a hidden gem and is by far some of the best Chinese food in the area! Love it!

Excellent food and service. The best egg rolls around. The appitzers in general are all very good. I had the chow main and my wife had moo goo guy pan both were awesome. Hands down this is the best Chinese food in our area.

Ordered for delivery, and was told that it would be 30 minutes. Ended up waiting an hour and a half and the food was cold and soggy when it finally got here. Never ordering from there again!

Second time ordering from Bamboo Express and the food is really amazing. We have tried the crab rangoon, chicken & veggies, pad thai, shrimp & lobster sauce, fried rice, and chicken teriyaki. All of which was really good and there was plenty for numerous meals. Delivery is quick and friendly, food is still hot when it arrives and all for a really reasonable price. Highly recommend trying this place as it is one of the best around.

this should almost be a 1 star review but the people were nice, good hot and sour soup, lo mein, and chicken wings

First time trying Bamboo express and we were happy with our meal! We have finally found a Chinese restaurant that makes great Chow Foon. Delivery was fast and food arrived hot. The chicken wings were a bit over cooked and too crispy but over all the food was very good. We will definitely be ordering again

Just moved to the area. Came here based on the reviews. Not disappointed! Great food, great prices and the staff were friendly and knowledgable. I think this is my new local Chinese restaurant in Bellingham.
You will not be disappointed!

Yum, yum, yum! We stopped in on a whim and ended up having a wonderful dinner here. Everything we ordered (egg drop soup, Peking ravioli, crab Rangoon, moo shi, fried rice, and white rice) was delicious — large portions and served fast. I especially liked that the white rice was sticky and perfectly cooked. Our server was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. A 5 star experience all the way!

Great food, fast service. Chicken and broccoli has a great sauce and the spicy pork was amazing. The tea is also great, not bitter like a lot of asian restaurants.

Favorite take out Chinese! Always yummy, fast and friendly! Delivery is super fast too!

This is a great Chinese restaurant… It’s nothing fancy, the bartender is also the waiter, but if you get a drink here, than you know they don’t hold back on alcohol at all. Not to mention I’m pretty picky with Chinese food and how all the food looks and comes out, but I really have no complaints about this place at all.

This place has great food. I have ordered from here multiple times and have had no problems. Fast delivery every time. The pad Thai from here is some of the best ever.

Great food! Everything came out perfect and delicious! The steak teriyaki was tender and not dry, the boneless spear ribs where juicy and not dry, i saw an employee making the crab ragoons by hand when i walked in the door, they where to die for! And the dining room is small, cute and Intimate! It’s a 15 – 20 minute drive to get there, but it was well worth the trip!

Love this place. The food is always good and reasonably priced. I usually will eat in and I’m probably the only one as Iv never really seen anyone else do anything but pick up. That being said if that’s you your missing out there drinks are awesome and usually on the strong/​very strong side. But eating in a empty place does seem a little strange but hey you can’t get a scorpion bowl in a to go cup sadly haha. But if you can get over the fact it’s just your party and the wait staff it’s fine. The staff is friendly and attentive so I say feast drink and enjoy.

Great food. Good service if you are getting take-​out. The atmosphere and service inside isn’t really luxurious or top notch, but given the price range of the food it fits.
What really keeps me coming back is the value. The food is great and one of the best chinese places in the area. Give it a try if you are willing to sacrifice atmosphere for value.
Update: I brought it up to 5 stars from 4 because they upgraded the atmosphere big time in the past year or so and the service seemingly got better. Not perfect but enough for me to warrant a 5 star rating. They have a full bar with TVs now. I really like this place.

Love the food here — it’s always consistently good.
It has all the basics that you would expect from chinese food, and all of it is great!

You can either eat in or get take-​out. I’ve never eaten in the restaurant, so I can’t vouch for the service or atmosphere. However, I do get the take out pretty regularly and I’m a big fan.
It’s probably not the most authentic chinese out there, but the food is good — not too greasy unless you order something deep-​fried. The vegetables are always crisp and fresh. The Won-​Ton soup is really good. It has won-​tons, pork, veggies, mushrooms, and a wonderfully rich broth.
I am always amazed that no matter how much food you order, the person on the other end of the phone always says it’ll take 10 minutes. I’m also amazed that there’s always at least 1 other person picking up their take-​out at the same time as me, even if it’s late on a Wednesday night…
I recommend ordering the won-​ton soup, the peiking raviolli (steamed), and the chicken with mixed vegetables or the house lo-​mein (chicken, pork, and shrimp). They do combo’s, so you can get pork fried rice, an entrée, and an appetizer (like a spring roll — those are good too).
