This place is GOLD! I had a fender bender in my Prius. I got to the appointment (day after the accident) and he already had the piece painted and ready to go. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I had shopped around and he had the best price.
The owner, Zack is the nicest most pleasant person as well.

Bellingham Automotive provides the best automotive service I’ve ever experienced. They’ve got a courteous and caring culture that hits or surpasses (as Brandon said) Nordstrom service levels.
Here’s a story to back it.
We brought our 2004 van in for a mystery Check Engine condition. What started as ‘replace O2 sensors’ began to spiral into replacement brake computer, then adaptive cruise control. Their service team stepped in and said «Do you mind if we get a second opinion?» They took the van to a different OEM dealer, who researched and re-​thought. Ultimately, Bellingham Automotive’s approach to service SAVED us thousands of dollars.
They didn’t have to do that. It’s easy to pass the buck and blame the OEM. They didn’t. They put their customer first. (They even bent over backwards to get the van back to us before the weekend.)
Like my other favorite service business in Bellingham (Discount Tire) — these guys have earned our business for decades to come. I don’t shop tires, and I won’t shop auto service. I’m happy to pay for fantastic service from a company that clearly cares a bunch about their customers and employees, and does a terrific job at their profession.
Can’t recommend them highly enough. Do yourself a favor — when your car needs service, take it to Bellingham Auto.

I do not live in Bellingham, so this is my only experience with Bellingham Automotive.
In the darkness, I backed up into a ditch in my old commuter car that I bought cheap. It needed a couple parts of the undercarriage replaced, and was towed to Bellingham Automotive at the recommendation of the tow company. The work took a long time to complete, in part because (they reported to me) a forklift damaged the replacement parts in transit. I had to call two or three times for a status update. The delay isn’t their fault, but I would like to have been kept better informed.
Although they replaced the damaged parts, they did not pull out the clumps of dirt and bits of branches that were trapped behind the bumper, some of which is clearly visible from the side of the car. It seems like it would take them 30 seconds to do while they were under the car.
They tried to clean my battery connections, but I think it hurt more than helped. I’m not sure why they touched the battery. I know it is good safety practice to disconnect the battery when working under the hood, but they were working on the undercarriage.
Business tips:
1. Email updates on progress would be a big plus.
2. 30 seconds of removing dirt under the car from when it went into the ditch would have shown good attention to detail.

Extremely honest owner and workers. Many of the mechanics have been there for years. Low turnover means the owner is treating his workers right. I price compared Bham automotive with the local dealer and it was cheaper. When the service writers recommended work, it didn’t feel pushy, just a recommendations. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

They wanted to overcharge me about $ 200 and kept pushing an additional ~$ 150 in unnecessary work. They’re really polite and have a free shuttle but GOOD LORD
Extremely dishonest. And they wouldn’t stop pushing fuel injection cleaning and transmission flushes.

Best place to take your car for any problems, period!
They have amazing customer service!!! They will drive you to work while you’re car is being fixed (even for an oil change) and come pick you back up so you’re never really inconvenienced!
I was originally introduced to this place from a friend who typically fixes his own cars but would go here if he was unable to do so. That fact right there sold me!
Always great, they explain what’s going on and I’ve never once felt taken advantage of!

Theese guys were honest and fair with repairs. I trust them and will go back for future repairs.

I would recommend everyone to Bellingham Automotive! The employees and management here are fantastic! They truly care about their customers and went above and beyond to ensure my experience was a positive one. They communicated openly and honestly with me throughout the entire process and explained everything in detail regarding the problem and my available options. They researched more convenient and cost effective alternatives to fixing my car. Long story short, saved me $ 800, thanks to their efforts, by taking it to an external source who could fabricate the part that needed replacement on my catalytic converter!!! Also, I work 40 miles outside of Bellingham and they were able to provide me with a loaner car so I didn’t have to miss any work. A huge thanks to Bellingham Automotive! You guys seriously rock and your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Bellingham Automotive is the kind of Nordstrom-​level-​of-​service business my wife and I have come to rely on now that we have two young kids, and both our time and the trustworthiness of our vehicles is of paramount importance. From the free loaner vehicles they’ve always had for us while ours are in the shop, to the as-​much-​detail-​as-​we-​want explanations of what they’ve found or what they’re recommending, to the money-​saving pre-​purchase inspections they’ve done on pre-​owned cars before we’ve bought, to the clean and classy atmosphere of their lobby, shop and grounds, and well beyond. I freaking LOVE this business, and their style and level of service is a model that any service business would do well to study and copy. Could not recommend this business highly enough.

My husband and I have been going to Bellingham Automotive for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They have a comfortable lobby if you want to wait and a shuttle to work and back if you need it. They always alert me when it looks like I might need something down the road but they never push me to get it done now. One time I had my winter tires in the back that I was going to get put on. They called Discount Tire to find out there was an hours long wait (snow was coming). Bellingham Automotive put them on for me at no charge so I wouldn’t have that long wait. Great customer service.

Usually breaking down a couple hours from home would be an unpleasant experience. Recently I had a great day and broke down just off of I-​5 (a good thing in and of itself) in Bellingham. Had the whole fam-​damily with me, dog included. It wasn’t snowing (2^nd good thing). Asked someone in the business we were disabled in for a recommendation and several people said Bellingham Automotive at once (it was an auto parts store– a good place I figure to get a good rec.). One call to Bellingham Automotive and one to AAA for a tow and whaboom we are driving home in a rental car in less than an hour. I had the most prompt, curtious attention I have ever had for my car. I’m old enough to have had a broad field of experience here. This is the Nordstroms of repair places without the Nordstroms price. Derreck saved the day for us, he had contacted the rental place before hubby got there in the tow truck, had a van ready to drive him to the rental place and had someone looking the dead car over before we left the shop. Called back directly with info and prices. Helped us weigh through big life and death car decisions. Picked me at the airport the day I returned the rental, explained everything again to me, as he had to my husband on the phone, bought me a starbucks card cuz I had had to wait at the airport a little while for them, let me drive the radio in the van that collected me and were ALWAYS nice. I had the good fortune to have broken down in Bellingham, it was a great experience!
