Bellingham Detail & Glass

We thought our son’s 20 yr old Dodge Neon was a goner, it was so full of mold. We brought it in to B’ham Detail & Glass and not only did Lee get all of the mold out of the car and trunk, he replaced carpet and fixed the source of the mold and other things, all for a reasonable price. Now it smells and looks better than new. He provided the best customer service I think we’ve ever had and I highly recommend him.

I was referred to this shop by a friend and I’m glad. I have a classic car and it needed a good detail before winter and we live at the beach. I made and appointment. I was on time and they finished when they said they were going to be done. My car looks like it did when it left the showroom floor 40 years ago. I will bring my other cars to Lee in a heartbeat.

Simply not worth the money. Spending over $ 300 for a «deluxe» auto detail that ends up requiring personal work to finish is inexcusable. I’m not the type of personality that is going to complain, especially in front of my wife, but I probably should have. Then again, isn’t this why Unilocal is here? Passive-​aggressive, virtual middle fingers to help out some friends, right?
What sucked:
The windows were left with waxy grease marks that needed to be cleaned. There was white-​colored wax overspray buffed into black plastic areas that were difficult to remove.
The car kind of smelled bad after it had been shampooed. You would think it would be pleasantly fragrant or at least a car freshener could have been thrown in as part of the deal.
Rims were left dingy because hub caps were not removed. Not sure if that is commonplace, but it sucks. The engine detail is a non-​existent fairy-​tale of sorts. The owner explained that he doesn’t clean engines because he could cause damage. How about you clean around the engine? Whatever.
One windshield wiper was replaced for an unknown reason and the wiper was cheap and very shitty. Upon first use it skipped along the windshield and made a horrific squeaking noise. I think this pissed me off the most. My guess is he took the previously installed wiper and put it on his own car.
The owner is definitely quirky and apparently psychotic based on Casey C.‘s experience.
Unilocal reviews for car detailing in Bellingham are tough to come by, but do yourself a favor and roll your dice elsewhere.

My wolfhound and I drive from Florida to Washington state, and after 8 days or highways and back roads, bugs and beasts, I was really thankful to find this shop. My car was new, so cleaning was not difficult… but wow did it need it. It was covered in bugs, tar, cracks, and inside there was fur… much fur. A few hours later the car was returned looking great. An employee even drove me to/​from my home to get the car. This service is not cheap, but well worth it. I’ll be back once the hound sheds some more.

Just got my car detailed here and it came out looking beautiful! Am really happy with the way my car looks, the price, and the customer service. The owner is a kind man who goes out of his way to accommodate you. I had checked out another detailing shop before I came here and was really put off by the staff and attitude, so came here instead and was glad I did.
