Klicks specializes in fitting people to the correct running and walking shoes through the use of Video Gait Analysis (treadmill, video camera, computer w/​video software). We have extensive biomechanical and product knowledge and use this to narrow your choices.

We carry a variety of apparel and running/​walking accessories as well — pants, coats, shirts, hats, gloves, socks, head lamps, hydration belts, self massage equipment, nutrition products.

We also have weekly group runs/​walks and monthly group events.

History

Established in 1999.

In 1996, Run​ning​Shoes​.com started in a Bellingham garage. We eventually became so successful that more space was needed to run the day-​to-​day operations. We also wanted to begin serving local runners, so in May 1999, Bellingham’s oldest current running specialty store opened at 1317 N State St. In September 2008, we needed even more space so we moved 1 block north to 1431 N State St, our current home.

In May 2011, we decided to focus solely on our local customers and sold the Run​ning​Shoes​.com business, changing our name to Klicks Running And Walking. Serving this community is our only priority now and we’re dedicating all our resources to making sure we can «Go The Distance» (link to Fitting Process) for you. Whether you’re from Whatcom county, Skagit county or British Columbia, whether you’re a high school runner, walker or runner, we want to serve you.

Meet the Business Owner

Jim C.

Business Owner

Jim grew up in Liberty, MO near Kansas City. He graduated from Drake University then moved around the west, eventually settling in Bellingham in 1990. Jim opened the Run​ning​Shoes​.com store front in May 1999, changing the name to Klicks in May 2011.

Jim is an active multi-​sport athlete and runner, having completed an Ironman in 2003.
