SpringHill Suites Bellingham

Place lived up to expectations and then some. Staff were very friendly and helpful offering restaurant recommendations. The room was two queens beds, very large with a separate lounge area with a couch. The shower and vanity area is separate from the toilet and smaller sink, which is nice if you have multiple people getting ready. It’s a quiet part of town so you can sleep with the window open for fresh air.
The free breakfast was very good, lots of options. The bar area is also very nice. We’re able to take cocktails to the indoor pool and spa was also enjoyable for the rainy cool evenings.
We’ve decided we are coming back to Bellingham and will be staying here for sure!

Jessie is the best at the bar. A real ambassidor to Bellingham. He was my guide to the best places to go here. Great guy. I would stay here again for that reason. Having said that. Nice hotel with nice friendly staff. Beautiful rooms with high end touches. Loved it here

Spent the weekend here for our anniversary. Very modern rooms. Breakfast was filling and tasty. Pool and gym clean and accessible. Very relaxing weekend close enough to home that we attended both Good Friday and Easter services at Rome Community Bible Church.

This place is excellent. I’m nitpicking on not giving 5 stars: bathroom towels are in a shelf under the sink counter and it’s easy to forget to grab one to put it on the rack in reach of the shower. If you need to meet with clients in the evening, forget about using the lobby. Every night the place was packed and loud (good alternate was to use the Towneplace lobby which is connected to the SpgHll). I’m definitely using this hotel when I return!

The complimentary breakfast provided a filling plate of options for a four vegans family; we ate a variety of fruit, fresh cooked oatmeal, bagels, and walnuts. The overnight accommodations were quiet and comfortable. The fact that the toilet and shower were separate was also a nice perk for 4 travelers in 1 room. A fridge and microwave were also nice additions to the room. Clean hotel and kind service

The «hotel room» has evolved to this. near perfection. Tall ceilings allow tall shower head, crisp clean, clever desk arrangement and living area… separate water closer, mini kitchen area. Big beds, lots of storage, sliding doors means better use of space. Great lighting, places to plug in, all for a fairly modest price.
The lobby is bright and cheery and the bar is wonderful with incentive cocktails a brisk value oriented happy hour, out standing food and very fairly priced.
Yes, from holiday inns in the 1970s to the Marriott of 2016. It’s a great evolution for the American traveler.

For a chain motel, this one is very nice. We went to Bellingham for a wedding so of course needed to spend the night. The staff was very pleasant and helpful when we asked about various things. The hotel rooms are very modern and clean and the bed was very comfortable which is important. They have refrigerators and microwaves which means if you spend more than one night and want to bring some left over back with you to have later it’s not a problem.
One plus for the kids is an inside pool which is heated just a bit. The 11 year olds said it was fine. They also have a hot tub and what looked to be a nice gym. Didn’t have much but if all you want is elliptical or treadmill, you’re fine.
Best part was the price — a senior rate of $ 118 per night. Can’t beat that and it came with breakfast. Not a bad breakfast but had to have a 10 year old show me how to use the waffle iron and that certainly isn’t the fault of the hotel.

Stayed here one night on the way home from BC. Would stay again in a heartbeat and use as a base for further exploration.
We stay at Marriott frequently. For the cost, this property is one of the nicest we’ve found. Perfectly clean, welcoming staff, smiling everyone, everywhere.
The room was quite comfortable, beds and bedding excellent. Nice sized closet and having the shower separate from the WC a very nice idea. If I had anything to fuss about, the coffee maker is pretty sad. But there’s a vat of it downstairs for ones’ caffeine fix.
Had dinner and drinks at the bar, watching playoff baseball. We didn’t get the name of our bartender, but he was on top of a pretty busy night. Cheery, attentive to everyone, welcoming to his regulars and new guys like us. He was also the first bartender I’d seen who thought our babbling about a mineral show and petrified wood was awesome. Turns out, he is also into minerals. (Whatever his name is, clone him, he’s excellent)
So yes, stay here. It’s an excellent spot to land to get off I-​5.

Nice clean design in rooms — an Asian influence with lots of sliding doors. Very comfortable beds. Quiet surroundings. Good breakfast — a step up from most free hotel breakfasts with some hot entrees and well stocked. Definitely will stay here again!

Very clean and modern interior. The room I stayed in was very modern and looked straight out of an IKEA magazine (not a bad thing in my opinion!). The front desk and manager were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The manager – I think his name was Damien – even took the time to brew me a fresh batch of coffee in the breakfast room after I arrived too late to get a cup at breakfast (it was past breakfast time – my fault). Speaking of breakfast; it was 5 star all on its own. It was (good) restaurant quality. Much better quality than you would get at a Best Western or Holiday Inn, by far. This is now my first choice of hotels to stay at in Bellingham.

Very modern, great parking availability, snack/​drink bar, breakfast, full bar with food, great rooms, nice customer service. Computer/​Internet access. A very strong 3 star hotel with reasonable prices. One of the nicest you will find in Bellingham.

The staff is very helpful, the rooms are spacious and very clean. The food from the hotel bar was good but the breakfast was a little bland.

We have really enjoyed our stay here. Great, professional staff. Very clean, nice, spacious rooms. The fitness center is open 24 hours and directly across from the pool. The cardio machines conveniently face a ceiling to floor window facing the pool so you can monitor your child (obviously older kids who can swim) while you exercise! They have a nice free breakfast as well.

I stayed here on July 3^rd with my family. Check-​in was good and employees were nice. After a long evening, we got back to our room and got ready for bed. As I was lying in bed, I found a bug on the comforter! Appalled and disgusted, I called down to change rooms. The front desk agent was apologetic and sent someone to help us move. The bellman arrived and helped us move our things. We told him that we trapped the bug under a glass so they can examine to ensure it wasn’t bed bugs. The bellman also told me that we’d receive a discount on our room. Once we were moved, I heard nothing from the front desk. No one bothered to call to make sure we were satisfied with our room. Mistake #1.
As we were checking out the next morning, the front desk had no idea what happened. Mistake #2. She asked how my stay was and I told her I found a bug and had to uproot my entire family (two young children, one of whom was already asleep) at 11:30pm.
She also handed me my final billing which only showed a zero balance, no room rate and tax breakdown at all. I told her we were supposed to have gotten a discount. She did some things on the computer and reprinted my folio to show the discount. She said because we had purchased an advanced payment rate, she needed to refund my card. Then she said «here’s 20% off for your troubles.» Mistake #3.
As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for 8+ years, I find this deplorable. The front office staff should have called to make sure we were happy with our room. Notes should have been made in the system so that every agent is aware of what happened. Telling me that I prepaid for my room does not mean I cannot receive a discount for my stay. I had prepaid through YOUR website, the money went to the company, not a third party site. I was completely put off by the front desk agent’s remark of «20% off for my troubles.» I found a bug. In the bed. This is something more serious than just «troubles.»

I have to add to all the 5-​star reviews here. This is a fantastic hotel, at a reasonable rate (we got a great price on Expedia). What makes this place 5-​stars?
–ease of check-​in and friendly front desk staff. Nice touch: huge bowl of hundreds of gourmet lollipops on the counter. They’re complimentary! Take a few!
–cute snacks and concessions for purchase by the front desk in case you get the munchies in the middle of the night
–lovely bar area in the lobby with a few large flat-​screen wall-​mounted tvs. Nice bartender. PLUS they have a really good happy hour with super (and inexpensive) dishes, and they serve food until 11pm each night! Late one night there we had spinach, ham and Havarti wrap (huge and delicious), a garden veggie «burger (zingy with jalapenos, and also very generously portioned. My kid loved it), and a hummus plate with SUCH good seasoned flat crackers, warm pita wedges, carrot and celery sticks, slices of smoked cheddar and brie cheeses. I cannot begin to tell you how delicious this was, and how much food this platter had on it!
–really varied complimentary breakfast served buffet-​style in the lobby each morning (fresh pastries, toast, waffles, scrambled or hard-​boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal with a variety of toppings, fresh fruits and yogurts, all sorts of hot and cold beverages, cereals, etc.). Ample seating. The place is pristine clean.
–the fitness room has contemporary treadmills and ellipticals, with weights, yoga mats and more. It’s pristine clean and open ²⁴⁄₇.
–the pool is small but nice and clean (water is a bit too cold for me but my kids loved it), with lots of noodles and beach balls to play with. Oh, and there’s a fantastic sauna to soak in (I loved that! Super hot. Just how I like it).
–The rooms are actually suites, so they’re roomy. Ours had 2 queen beds and was perfect for our family of 4, with a separate living area with a sectional sofa and desk, swivel tv, super comfy beds, separate toilet room with tiny sink and then a larger shower/​bath room with lots of counter space by a larger sink. Lots of towels and a good hair blower. Big closet and 2 dressers. The only thing missing was a room safe, but there’s one available at the front desk. (I would have liked a room safe). We all loved the Paul Mitchell hair products and the lemon scented body lotions. We also loved the room refrigerator and microwave (and the coffee machine, though we didn’t use that), and the complimentary teas. So nice. And again, pristine clean.
–We never heard our neighbors on either side of us or people in the hallway, so the rooms must be well-​insulated.
–there’s a complimentary shuttle that will bring you anywhere in a 5 – 10 mile radius. It’s first come, first serve, so you can’t reserve it in advance, but we used this shuttle a lot to go into Fairhaven, and to go to a wedding in town, and the shuttle drivers and both terrific and it was great not to worry about driving and getting lost and parking.
–lots of parking at the hotel in the front and back.
–check-​out was a breeze. No surprises. Quick and smooth.
The hotel is 2 years old but feels newly built. Staff is super. What more could one want? It was great.

SpringHill Suites Bellingham is a wonderful hotel in Bellingham close to WWU, Bellingham Airport and the US/​Canada border.
The staff is friendly and welcoming throughout the hotel. The rooms are modern, clean, quiet and have comfy beds. One nice feature is the fridge has a «bed time mode» where it goes 100% silent for around 8 hours and a quick chill. This is perfect for if you want to keep bottled water, juices, ect cold but do not want the horrible small fridge noises keeping you up.
The hotel has a free breakfast each morning. It has omelets, cereal, fruits and another hot item ranging from bacon, sausage, ect each morning among other items.
There is a nice fitness center with quality machines that are very clean and have personal tvs on them.
Everyone from the manager, front desk to even the hotels chief engineer who was working late into the night to get ensure the hot tub was working perfect truly show they care about the guests and hotel.
This is a wonderful hotel to stay at, especially when traveling on business.

Visited Bellingham, Washington this past weekend with my team for a tournament and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Marriott SpringHill Suites. Although we often stay at similar establishments whenever we travel, this hotel really stuck out as being fresh and friendly. The rooms were extremely spacious and seemingly newly remodeled — I loved the aesthetic design of the rooms, it really made me feel rejuvenated! The beds were big, comfy, and clean — I slept like a baby! The service was outstanding. The staff was extremely accommodating to our large party and was helped reassign rooms and set up meeting rooms when necessary. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in this level of a Marriott. Oatmeal bar, eggs, make your own waffles, fruit, bagels, toast, breakfast potatoes, and NUTELLA? yum!
Overall a very pleasant experience. If you are looking for place to stay in Bellingham, look no further! Although I doubt I will ever be back, I am more than willing to give credit where credit is due, bravo.

First of all, the service was incredible! The staff was by far some of the friendliest I have encountered on my travels! The hotel & the rooms were so nice, it was hard to believe I was in Bellingham, WA! Rooms were well equipment with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, glasses, paper plates & durable plastic forks, knives & spoon (which I usually travel with, so this was a BONUS). Beds are comfy & lots of pillows! One thing I noticed too – the room had plenty of PLUGS to plug your electronic in to recharge! (Yes, I know, but it is important!)
The gym was totally empty when I used it, very clean and was actually pretty good for a gym hotel with benches, dumbbells, great cardio selection & towel service too. The pool looked nice, though I didn’t use it (it’s across from the gym).
The breakfast was very nice too, some deceit choices, and lots of fresh hot coffee & hot water too. The breakfast staff was very nice, friendly and attentive to when things would run low.
If you’re having to stay up in Bellingham, this is a great choice!
