Swan’S Moving & Storage Co., Inc. – An Agent Of Allied Van Lines

Moving is a stressful experience but the crew at Swan made it as easy as possible for us. We’ve moved many times and this was the best one yet! We were treated very well beginning with Dan who provided us with boxes and moral support for our partial pack. The packers did the hard part and were fast, neat and very courteous. Eric and his crew loaded our 28,000 in record time with careful attention. The unload 2000 miles later went as smoothly. Eric even offered to shovel snow in prep for the unload and came by on his way out of town a couple days later and took the used boxes and packing paper out of our way. We aren’t totally unpacked yet but everything looks intact. I would recommend Swan without hesitation!

I wanted to write a good review while the names are still fresh in my head. We just finished our move from Bellingham to Seattle and everything went very smoothly. I could not have asked for a better experience. I have moved a lot over the years (one being a cross-​country move), so I’m no stranger to moving companies, and I can easily say that Swan’s was great in every way!
Dan Coco came by to give us an estimate. Very nice guy, and gave a legible, computer-​typed estimate with a list of our items and his estimate on the weight and the price according to it. He told us that the estimate would probably be over what we would really pay and that he likes to overshoot instead of undershoot. He also threw in quite a bit of boxes for free! He delivered them himself. Super nice of him considering how expensive boxes can add up to be.
Caeser (who I only spoke to on the phone and was a manager of some sort) called in to report when the move would happen, when to expect the men to come, and check in on anything I needed. It definitely calmed my nerves to have someone call to see how everything is coming along and reassure that he had help if I needed it.
The movers (there were four of them) were also very great and respectful and hardworking. They really did a great job and took good care of all our items. We were promised 4 guys and 2 trucks and that’s what we got! It turned out we didn’t need the second truck, but I like that they were prepared and brought it anyways. Our items remained in the truck overnight and were delivered with three guys the next day early in the morning as promised.
I wish I remembered the names of the movers because I would’ve loved to give them a shoutout, cause they definitely deserved it but only one name stands out, and that is AJ. All of them were great.
We came in under our estimate by about $ 500. So I was happy about that. Thanks again Swan’s Moving!

We used Swan’s for our move from Bellingham to Houston. Dan came out to our house for a free estimate. We were moving with a newborn and couldn’t have done it without their help. The packers/​loaders were professional and accommodating. They took care to make sure everything was packed well. We didn’t have time to pack up some rooms and they took care of everything in less than 4 hours! I should of had them just pack the whole house. Everything arrived around the scheduled date without any damage to our property. There was effective communication with the delivery team. Everything came in under the projected estimate. I would recommend their services!

Our experience was completely different from that of Boyd M. For starters, Swan low-​balled us on the weight, missing by about 30 percent. That meant our actual moving cost was about one-​third higher than anticipated. Two other movers in the area were almost spot-​on to the actual weight. We are now in the process of unpacking and unpleasant surprises await in many of the boxes. Much of the furniture was dinged in some small manner. Vases were broken. My wife’s sewing table was destroyed. A brass pot lost its three legs. Little things — a container of Nestle’s hot chocolate was not wrapped properly and so we had powder over everything in that particular box. Our 12-​foot ladder seems to have disappeared in the shipping. We still have about 400 boxes to go through so more anguish undoubtedly awaits. This was our sixth move in 26 years and by far the worst from every aspect.
