History

Established in 2012.

Glenn Cribbs (currently referred to as «Lord of the Manor») built our home in 1999. Our children are now grown and we are left with a large house, perfectly suited for guests who are looking for a relaxing and comfortable place to stay in Bellingham.

Business Owner

As a wife and mother, I helped support our family doing after hours janitor work for 11 years. Then I went back to college and earned an Associates of Arts degree, followed by a Bachelor of Arts degree, and finally a Master of Arts degree at Western Washington University, where I then taught English composition classes for a number of years. I gave up my teaching job to operate our newest endeavor: a gas station. We opened up a deli in the convenience store of the gas station and I baked and served the public for 11 years there. Just as we sold the business my mother had a stroke and was unable to care for herself. I became her care-​giver for the next 5 years. We are now ready for our next adventrue: to open our home to visitors coming to Bellingham.

We stayed for two nights in their apartment unit over the garage. The owner Betty was nothing but accommodating and wonderful for the entire stay. The apartment was clean and had a great view, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom even had a heated floor! And the food! Oh my goodness, the scones in the morning were absolutely delicious, and don’t even get me started on the breakfasts. Our first morning we had to get going early, so Betty made a very tasty vegetarian omelette with hash browns (my fiancée is vegetarian) and a side of bacon for me (I am not :)). But the next morning, she made the MOST delicious quiche I have ever had.
This stay was worth every penny, and we will absolutely be staying again if at all possible!

My husband and I went for a weekend away and really enjoyed Betty — she is an amazing hostess and her scones are INCREDIBLE — as are the breakfasts!
We stayed in one of the non-​suite rooms (bathroom across the hall) and the bed hurt my husband’s back (deep trough) — it was two twins pushed together to make a king. If I went back I would definitely book either the apartment or one of the suite rooms… and hope for a better bed!

If you are looking for a Bed & Breakfast in Bellingham, WA, look no further. Betty runs a phenomenal B&B and you can tell she loves doing it! Viewmont Manor is located at the end of a quiet cul-​de-​sac and her home is beautiful.
You will wake up in the morning to fresh homemade berry scones and coffee, and Betty will prepare a delicious breakfast! We had hot eggs Benedict on delicate risotto cakes with asparagus on the side. This was served with Greek yogurt and granola, along with a cold glass of orange juice. Even though the food was to die for, the best part about Viewmont Manor was meeting Betty. She is the sweetest, most sincere Bed & Breakfast hostess that anyone could ask for. When you stay at Viewmont Manor you feel like a dear member of her family. I can’t wait to come back to visit!

This is the first B&B I have ever stayed at and I could not have been more pleased! Not to mention my husband chose Viewmont Manor to be the place we spent our honeymoon night. We were heading up to Whistler from Seattle for our honeymoon and didn’t want to drive the whole way in one night. He made an awesome choice and I was so thankful. Betty set up candles all over the room and she was so excited that we were her first newly wed couple to stay at the Manor!
Betty made us feel so welcome. Not to mention she is an amazing cook! Waking up and having delicious homemade scones and coffee was such a treat. Then having blueberry pancakes, bacon and eggs. When we arrived she said she would make us whatever we wanted for breakfast and she wasn’t kidding. It was outstanding. The atmosphere was so nice with music playing in the background. There is a beautiful garden to view in the backyard or relax in and read a book. Betty will not disappoint you can tell she loves running this manor and loves her guests. She makes you feel like family.
The room was spectacular with the comfiest bed in the world! It was a perfect place. My husband and I will for sure be staying there again when in visiting Bellingham or heading up to Whistler.

We had a great stay at Viewmont Manor! Betty our host is hospitable and gracious! She was happy to accommodate my daughter’s vegan diet. The breakfast was delicious! Betty makes amazing scones! Everything else was great as well. Betty is more than a host, she is a new friend! Hope to post pictures. The home is lovely.

This is by far the best bed and breakfast place I have ever stayed at! Comfortable beds, delicious food, relaxing environment, and very courteous host. I will definatly stay here again!
