I have been using them for many years. They are honest, competent, efficient, and helpful.
They kept my 1999 Taurus in good working order for 17 years. I brought it in recently and they correctly told me it needed more in repairs (tie rods, ball joints, heater core, and more) than the car is worth, and they did not charge me for the assessment. When my new car is out of warrantee I will be back.

Great place. Here’s my story as I spontaneously dropped by after searching Unilocal.
I was about to head to Northshore Honda and as I was looking up the address I found horrible reviews of the dealership service dept. I only needed my annual inspection and didn’t want to deal with bad service.
I also recently moved to Bellmore and found Village Auto on Unilocal.I dropped by and they were willing to take me in. Left the car and went to a very nice Arby’s across Sunrise hwy for some coffee. 50min later they called and said my car was ready. No BS on other stuff that I may need. My minivan is only a year old and I get oil changes regularly. So all they got out of me was $ 10 for my first year inspection. Totally made my day. I thought I’d repay the positive experience with this review. I will def be back if I need service on any of my vehicles as its conveniently located next to the Bellmore train station. Thanks guys.

We have been having our cars serviced here for several years. My most recent trip was to have brake light replaced. The job was done in record time! It is a pleasure to work directly with owners who care and are knowledgeable and get things done in a timely manner. We enjoy their email newsletters and postcards.

I’ve been using Village Auto for awhile now. I’ll be the first to say that if you have a sports car or a vehicle with aftermarket parts, you might be better off going somewhere else.
That being said I’ve come to really enjoy their honest and straight-​forward service. I feel like I can trust the guys here which is a rarity with car mechanics. On top of that they work relatively quickly and have kept me up to date with more extensive services. They also work to get your car in as soon as possible.
Great for inspections and oil changes. Pricing is about average for a shop.

I was recently referred to Glenn at Village Auto and was really happy with the service. They fixed the problem for a reasonable price, didn’t try to sell me stuff I don’t need, and didn’t talk to me like I’m a dumb girl, all of which I always appreciate.
I just wish they were open weekends. I work *all* of the time and my car has been squeaking like a banshee. It’s driving me crazy but I can’t get it there during the week!
