Her teaching, as well as her writing and research, center around the theme of connection. In her Argentine Tango classes and workshops, Gabriela simplifies and demystifies the essence of tango to make it accessible even to the most self-proclaimed left-footed people, while at the same time challenging students with extensive prior dance experience. She approaches tango as a dance partners build together, emphasizing collaboration and teamwork. Students should come prepared to explore and stretch their boundaries as Gabriela creates a fun, playful, challenging kinesthetic experience to convey a way of moving two as one. Her focus is the HOW rather than the WHAT — the essence of what makes tango tango.
