Excellent experience, I needed a $ 10,000 auto loan for this really rare car I wanted to buy I want in there I a guy by the name Alex Eberspacher he did everything for me and I got everything I wanted for the car really easy and smooth no problems definitely would be back here if I need a loan great rates

Only gets worse. Now they will not cash a check written out to me by the State of California. We thought a local credit union would be like a local business — not. More like amateur banking.

Second visit here. Both times the customer service was great! They answered my questions and helped walk me though my questions and concerns with a smile and friendly conversation! I am so thankful! Thank you Andrea, Micheal, and sorry I forgot the person name;)

Who like actually having to go inside the bank?! Not me! Not one bit!
Provident always makes me face to face banking less dreadful. This particular location has some great people and most importantly THEY ARE FAST PACE.

I only wish I had left Bank of America years ago. The process of joining Provident was so smooth and easy thanks to Alex. I feel really welcome here unlike Bank of America or Wells Fargo who treat me like they could care less about my business. The perks of joining Provident are so good: yearly dividend, free checking, free cashier checks/​money orders, rebates on atm fees from other banks, and to top it all of I get a $ 150 sign up bonus. I feel so good about my decision to bank here, it truly support my values. Thanks Alex and Provident!

This branch was awesome! First time customer, Got a loan super quick, approved and great customer service.
Here I met awesome tellers (Ivonne) :) and a young man that helped me through the process to get my car financed in less than 30 min Thank you ALEX! wow he even spoke to the dealership to make sure I was getting my car that day! and was willing to stay after the bank closed to close the deal: O He was so knowledgeable that I am really considering banking fully 100% in Provident awesome benefits! Very Low Low Rates! I am happy =). My family and friends already know about this great experience I had and are going to check it out!

I have been coming here a couple times in the past couple of years since its on the main road and just more convenient. I usually don’t have to go to the tellers because the ATM is outside the building
I had a situation a while ago where my bank account was totally withdrawn and after blaming this company, I have to say that the branch manager did an amazing job researching the information and helping me through this devastating problem. I was so clueless on what was going on and Theresa did a good job giving me numbers of people to get in touch with that can help me. Although my bank (Travis Credit union) was totally wrong for what they did I truly thank this branch manager for helping me and assisting me
Mostly new bank tellers but Theresa does a good job training them.
Very convenient location as well! There is 1 ATM outside and a 7 – 11 across the way.

I dealt with a few banks in my life. Not ever did I have such a quick and courteous help as I got in this place. I decided to go with this bank when I bought my condo last year. Throughout my mortgage process I had great support and immediate response. I want to mention Mo especially, as he started the process and was my main contact. I still have the pleasure of working with him on occasion.

I had an absolutely enjoyable experience at this branch of Provident. I started off by doing an auto loan. They gave me a low interest rate then let me adjust my loan to fit my circumstances. Even when selling me additions to my loan they helped me choose what was going to be right for me. The best part was the customer service I received was flawless. They were so helpful and flexible. I would recommend this branch to all of my friends/​family.

I just moved here from Florida and needed to deposit money into my credit union there. the man behind the counter (I’m sorry I didn’t get your name) was really nice and made me feel welcome. He let me know that I could open an account with them even though I hadn’t found a job yet. I did my research and went to other banks but came back to this one. Christina Salazar helped me open an account. Very sweet person and went over every detail with me. She made me feel right at home. Every time I go in there they always go over the top with customer service. Thanks!

We had a really positive experience at Provident Credit Union. Christina Salazar helped us with our loan and patiently walked us through step by step. She was very professional and incredibly helpful! So glad we decided to do this!

I called my credit union; they told me I could go to Provident Credit Union and withdraw 1300 dollars from my account with no charges and they were open 2p.m. which was perfect because I was unable to make it to my First Tech branch by 1pm. I got there at 1:40pm waited in line for 15 minutes to be denied a withdrawal which exceeded $ 500. The teller I had was an impatient youngster who looked no older than 13 told me I had no other option but to get a cashiers check to withdrawl the remainder I needed. She kept reminding me I had only until 2 pm to print the check or I will have to come back Monday. This credit union is a sorry excuse for a cooperative and I think I would rather eat the fees and torture of traditional banking than ever do business with such unprofessionals.

I was a satisfied customer of Provident for more than a year. Then in January I deposited two checks and they were held for 6 days with no explanation. Prior to this funds were always available immediately. In the time I’ve been a customer I have never once bounced a check or deposited a bad check.
I called and was told they have a right to hold my checks. I kept asking them why there was a sudden change. All they would tell me is they have a right to hold my checks.
I have no idea why they suddenly started enforcing this policy. They do have a right to do this but it shows exceptionally poor customer service that they refused to explain this sudden change. All they had to do was say «We haven’t always enforced this policy in the past but now we will be more rigorous about this with all customers now» Or they could have said «Your balances have been a bit low lately and so we are now enforcing this policy». I totally understand they can do this but they were complete dicks about it. And I can’t help but wonder if there is something else going on here. I can’t help but feel this is discriminatory in nature. If it wasn’t they would be able to be honest about it.
I closed out my accounts and opened at SF Fire Credit Union. According to Nerd Wallet they have the highest customer satisfaction in the bay area for Credit Unions. Another friend of mine recently left Provident after 7 years with them. I think this place is going down hill. They seem to have shifted and are acting like a big corporate bank instead of a local credit union. You can go to Chase or Bank of America if you want to get treated like crap and have better technology and more branch locations.

Teresa Dennison. One name said it all. Well first of all I would like to say thank you. I never in my whole life had such a great experience on an auto loan. It was so good I opened a checking and savings account. I was banking with Patelco with over 15 years and I never knew you can have such great customer service. The service was very personal and professional. I checked other credit unions ratings and this one is high ranking. I don’t mind crossing a bridge just to go to this one.
My interest rate was the below 3% and once my direct direct deposit activates I will have to choose to close my Patelco or let it idle. I got on the Provident website and like it even more. I feel bad for the other people who got bad experiences with them. I can go on and on but to have an great experience like this, I had to create an Unilocal account and say this.

I just opened up my new checking account here with the branch manager Teresa and she was great! Very friendly, helpful and thorough. I was greeted by a friendly teller when I walked in and service was fast! Who doesn’t like a friendly experience at a bank? Depending on the account you get $ 100 extra dollars in your account after 90 days. Whoohoo free money.

Went to this branch for opening a checking account after viewing so many great reviews in Unilocal and beyond. Although I was a little doubtful that they are going to impress me I was pleasantly surprised to find out that all the reviews were true.
First off all there is no line to wait and we were welcomed by a friendly and smiling teller who, after I told her what I want, refer us to the branch manager, Junius. He took care of us and made all my requests come true.
Now I am a happy customer with a checking account, credit card and an amazing 1, 76% interest on my checking account.
The only downfall is their pretty shaky and instability of smarthphone app for banking with them. Hope they fix this soon cause is annoying to be kick out of the app or not even let yo connect.
Overall, a good bank with amazing staff and knowledgeable manager. Way to go Provident…

Had a great experience setting up an auto loan here yesterday. Got a referral from the dealership I was looking at cars at that this would be a good place and to ask for Chad. Must have called this poor guy back at least a dozen times throughout the day. Every single time I called back the lady who answered the phone first was very friendly and quickly put me through to Chad. This was a very nice change in pace after dealing with insurance companies. I was a bit surprised and relieved I didn’t have to listen to an automated voice recording before reaching him each time.
During my car buying experience, I had dealt with many credit unions other dealerships had worked with, receiving interest rates all over the board. Not sure why everyone doesn’t go here first. Save yourself some trouble and just called Chad at Provident. They’ll be the least stressful part of your day.

Convenient location on El Camino. Usually empty, I have never had to wait in a line. If there is a line, someone opens up right away. It looks brand new inside, clean, tidy, spacious. I prefer it over RWS location although employees are very friendly at both. The people here are very helpful — I am especially fond of Theresa and Katie — such sweet gals.
As a credit union, I have received much better service here. No hidden fees, all my questions are answered and the staff is very knowledgeable. As a young adult, it’s nice to be taken seriously especially when I can take my money elsewhere! Considering I am still learning the ins and outs of banking preferences, I feel safe and at ease with Provident.
I recommend this bank overall and this branch in particular as well.

I have been a Bank of America customer for over 15 years with mixed experiences. But avoiding the fees at BofA was such a headache, even though they would always credit them back to me.
While BofA is now more lenient with helping customers avoid fees, when I heard about Provident giving 2.26% APY on their Super Rewards Checking (now it is reduced to 2.01%) I went down to the branch in Belmont to see if it was too good to be true.
Not only do they rarely charge a fee, but they pay 40 times the interest that my BofA savings account does (2.01%:0.05%). It was a no-​brainer!
I spoke with a teller (forget her name) and one of their Personal Account Officers, Chad. Everyone was very nice and I really had a great experience. I signed up that day and was later phoned by someone from corporate thanking me for opening an account.
The teller was very forthcoming. When I made a deposit she made sure to inform me that the funds may not be available for a week or so. This didn’t matter to me as I planned to leave it in there to earn that 2% interest. Still, it shows that they are empathetic and care about conveying potentially important information.
I have recommended Provident to all of my friends and family and have been very satisfied with them so far.
