Vape Away

Awesome customer service. I made the mistake (actually come to think of it, not a mistake!) of purchasing a vape pen at a gas station out of desperation. It was my first day of quitting cigs and dip and I was on the verge of buy a pack. Instead I asked for gum, which they were out of so the attendant asked me about e-​cigs. Having purchased one for my mother a couple of years ago and it failed to help her quit, they were out of my mind. But because I promised the wife I would quit, I decided to spend the $ 50 on it in the hopes it would at least hold me over for the day. I made the mistake of buying it with a «tabacco flavor» e-​juice and was immediately disgusted by the taste. I decided to find the nearest «vape shop» to my location and found Vape Away right here on Unilocal.They have been awesome since the moment I first walked into the store. I was helped by Joey, who actually tasted the tabacco flavor I had bought and confirmed my opinion, «wow this is horrid». He then went on to give me a vape pen and showing all the different flavors and some of his personal favorites. I actually got to try them out with a fresh disposable tip and all. He dialed me in with one I liked and said the pen I had was suitable enough for what I’m doing (no pressure to buy one of his high end models on display). He also offered his expertise on ANY questions that may come up, and to call the shop anytime. He explained that the world of vaping can be very complicating and daunting to new comers and he was absolutely correct. I found myself surfing vaping sites that night as I puffed away like a train (no cigarettes at this point, day 1 all good) and was utterly confused by all the options and tech out there now. Fast forward 2 days later, I was in the shop again looking for Joey. Unfortunately he went on a week vacation and I was helped by Tayler (she’s the owner or daughter of I think). Again another EXTREMELY helpful person. I ended up purchasing a new vape pen (Ego ONE XL). She recommended this as it was simple to use, but a huge step up from what I was currently using and it’s entry level priced. I’m very glad I came to this shop from the first day. The new Ego is night and day difference and I’m actually enjoying vaping more than smoking at this point. I’m now on day 6, still cigarette and dip free with not a thought about them. I believe if I didn’t visit Vape Away I would be sneaking cigs behind the wife and end full blown smoker again. Thank you Vape Away, Joey and of course Tayler (sorry if I misspelled your name gurl!) for helping me through a really hard addiction to break.
Wow I almost forgot another great story:
So I think Day 4, like the dummy I am forgot my Vape pen at home and about 11am I was HURTIN. I had the top «cartorizer» filled with liquid sitting in my car from the old vape pen, but not the power source. I was about to bum a smoke from a friend when I decided I would just head to Vape Away and see if I could buy a super cheap mod to hold me over. When I got there Tayler was at the counter, I explained my situation and instead of taking advantage of it and selling me a $ 20 mod. She walked to the back, and came back out with what I’m assuming was her own personal mod and tank and handed it to me. She said it had nicotine and said puff away. I sat there for a few minutes billowing out vapor, felt the nicotine need disappear, handed it back to her and thanked her again. I will be a loyal customer for as long as I vape. These folks «get it» and they enjoy helping people out. Rare to find that in retail shops these days, so if your looking for a good source for this kind of thing — Look no further and just «Vape Away». LOL

This is the only Vaper store I go to. The people are amazing. It’s family owned and operated which I love. You find friendly people willing to help you instead a massive amount of young men in their 20’s trying to act like they know any and everything about vaping. Vape Away has a comfy feeling to it, with couches and a nice lounge area! Plus its decorated with Giants memorabilia! Who doesn’t love that? Prices are great and very affordable. They have so many options of juices, it’s really hard to pick just one. I strongly suggest shopping here, they have everything one would need. You guys are great!

Vape Away, is the best vape store out there. I have been there since day one and I still go there. The workers there are amazing people and very friendly. They all give amazing customer service and explain everything to you before you leave their place. Not only have i bought pens her for myself ive bought them as gifts for friends and family along with bringing people to the store. This is the place to be when your looking for vaper needs. They also have amazing premium juices!

I’ve came into this establishment about five times The atmosphere is very pleasant. The baby (dog)Will greet you at the door. Jan and Taylor are the best their knowledge about the product is outstanding. They don’t push you into buying something that you don’t need. I come all away from San Francisco every other week and look forward to purchasing something from the store

Best vape store on the penninsula handz down… iv beem goin here since iv been vaping an i dont plan on goin anywhere else… jan an taylor are the best i convo with them everytime i go there. They were unexpectingly closed on monday an i had broke my tank an needed 1 asap. i went down the street to CLOUDY DAYZ. an tha tank i bought there just fall apart when trying to fill it … I come back to vape away the next day an they tell me what i got was a knock off fake… Crazy as that was to hear i was very angry but without hesitation they gave me a new tank cause they felt bad… I cant explain how much apppreciation i felt i was speechless… stuff like that will never be forgotten… i will never go anywhere else but here an advise everyone to do the same… they are the best handz down… thank u so much ladiez:)

This place is awesome from start to finish.
From the moment my husband brought me there I have received nothing but excellent customer service from Taylor, John and Jan. They are super friendly and are there to help from getting started on vaping to helping with repairs on your vapor pens. The prices are accommodating and if you manage to answer «yes» to any of the following questions: Are you a Belmont resident? Teacher or a student? Affiliated with the military? at checkout, you will automatically receive a 5% each time you shop at the store. They carry different kinds of juices from varies states and they are great in helping you choose the right things that works best for you, from a new Vape pen of your choice to the small stuff like juices and coils. If this sounds like a place you’re looking for, don’t hesitate and go see for yourself how great this place is actually is.

My boyfriend and I stopped by this store as an emergency because we ran out of e-​juice. My boyfriend walked in and he liked the customer service.
The second time we came to this store it was because I lost my e-​cigarette and I needed a new one I walked in the store and they were about to close and even like that they just
Helped with a huge smile. Taylor and John helped me and gave me great advice on my new e-​cigarette my were so helpful and friendly that even my boyfriend ended up buying another e-​cigarette.

These guys know what they are doing, they are friendly and knowledgeable on the product. When you go in you are greeted by Roo, the beloved dog. They will help you quit smoking cigarettes. Taylor, the manager is super cool, too. Come by and say hi.

Vape Away is a wonderful place to visit. Jan, John, and Taylor are fantastic and make an effort to make this store what it is, a friendly vape shop. This is a store that educates as well as sells vaping products. They will take the time to make sure you know how to use the equipment as well as happy with the flavors you choose. They go above and beyond in service, even doing minor repairs and maintenance. The juices they supply and the vaping equipment are extremely well priced and they will not attempt to up sell but rather focus on what is best for you. I love this place and I’m glad I discovered it accidentally.

The people were nice and helpful, but the products on offer are awful. (2 stars for well-​meaning, but totally ignorant service)
Their recommended «in store» juice (tobacco flavor) is AWFUL. It tastes like saccharine-​sweet blueberries – not tobacco.
I purchased a battery from them which completely died within a month of purchase. I tried to find a maker’s mark or brand on the battery to maybe figure out what might be wrong online, but there is no mark on the thing. What are you selling to people?

I’ve been to a couple vape places and this was probably the best one I’ve been to so far. I heard about it through a friend and a year ago I bought a rebuildable pen for my boyfriends birthday. The guy who sold it to me was super knowledgeable and extremely friendly, sadly the builder was not there. I thought might as well save it so we can both watch the builder build it. We did, it was great and awesome.
A couple months later there was a complication. We went back to have it checked out and the builder said that the hole needed to be bigger. Awesome again.
Later on, the pen started to get the nasty smokey taste and we went to get it checked out again. I went in and they said their builder wasn’t in and wouldn’t be in till whatever day they told me. I came back that day they told me she had decided to take the day off. Okay understandable, I waited again for the next day she would be in. I went in and it was someone I hadn’t seen before and I asked what had happened to their old builder and she said that they let him go because he didn’t know what he was doing!
Why would they hire someone who didn’t know what they were doing? I’m confused.
She fixed my pen super quick and I was on my way. Later that day, it was still smokey!!! I’m pretty sad because it was such a great place when I went there the first couple of times :/​
The people are incredibly nice (with a cute pup), nice location, a large variety in models and delicious flavors, but not so great at building. I also wish that they had more people who knew how to build so I wouldn’t have to build my schedule around theirs. I still don’t know what’s wrong with my pen :/​Otherwise, great place!

This place is wonderful!
Discovered it around a month ago and I literally cannot think of ANY store I’ve had a better experience in. Not only is everyone who works there extremely knowledgable and helpful, but also incredibly friendly.
I went in here to buy my first vape pen since many of my friends owned them and I thought it would be nice to have one of my own. While I had a basic knowledge of how the pen worked, I asked that they give me the run through. They covered EVERYTHING from coils, to tanks, to battery life and more! I was even given a «Vaping for Dummies» handout to remind me of how to keep my pen in the best shape.
On top of the wonderful help I’ve been given every time I’ve gone in, these people are so much fun to talk to. They give off a relaxed and silly vibe that’s hard to find these days. A few friends went in with me just this afternoon and we ended up hanging out there for THREE HOURS because we were having such a fun time trying out our new flavors and simply talking to the owners.
Please, if you’re going to choose a vape shop to get started or just to buy anything, come here. You’ll get the best value, and the best service around :)

First of all, I should say I’m a total n00b to the world of vaping, well I guess I should say I was until I went to Vape Away. After hearing from a few friends that their customer service is amazing and their selection is decent I decided to give it a go. Walked in after deciding that this was the day I was going to begin my journey to quit smoking. Upon entering I was greeted with a friendly hello from the manager, Rikky, who asked me how he could help me. I advised I was looking to «Get Started» and he directed me to Jessica, who greeted me with a friendly smile and awesome attitude! She proceeded to take me through the process of getting set up with my first vape (got one for my hubby too).
Jessica was extremely knowledgeable, and super patient. She happily provided answers to my seemingly endless stream of questions with a smile. When it came time to pick the flavors for my liquid (juice) she was ready with some awesome recommendations, helped me save some cash, and let me try anything I wanted to (I think I must’ve tried at least 10 – 12 flavors, having a great time all the while). Rikky was on the assist, also recommending great flavors from afar, and encouraging me to sample as much as I’d like. While I was getting wrapped up they reviewed the important info with me one more time, and we’re totally awesome about making sure I knew if I had any questions I could always stop by or give a call, which was very reassuring.
When all was said and done I walked out spending less money than I had planned, and gotten way more for that money than I had hoped! All that and AWESOME customer service. Total win, although I’ve only been once, I am a loyal customer already, and have spread the word to my friends looking to quit. Thanks Vape Away!!!

The team is very helpful. I came in and asked about repair suggestions on my mechanical k100 that I purchased from them awhile back. Someone took a look at it and said that he has no replacement part for it. From there, he went to the back and gave me his part as a replacement. No questions asked he just did it. It is cool that they try as much as possible to help you with your situation regardless how long ago you bought the product.
Pretty small shop with a lot of products and nick knacks for your vapor set. Pretty affordable prices as well. I do have to say though that the stuff they carry maybe different from other shops that carry the same thing. When I was in LA, I bought some replacement cartomizers for my Vivi Nova and unfortunately it did not fit. But that does not justify the products that they sell. I buy tanks from vapor shops everywhere, and until now I still prefer the products they carry.
They are part of the 5 star program so you can earn points when shopping with them. Enough points can lead you to discounts towards future purchases. They also have a deal of the month where you can see great products on sale for that month.
I’ve been shopping there for quite sometime now and I always have a cool experience.

I went to Vape Away with an existing pen and had great service. I was shown what I needed to maintain what I had and wasn’t upsold. Everything works better than expected. Overall a great new store.

5 stars for customer service and cleanliness of the shop. New to vaping and have been ordering my juice from Halo. Halo lagged on my recent order so I needed to find a shop to buy some liquid to last me til my order comes. Found this place on Unilocal and decided to come here instead of closer shops since they have such great customer service reviews. They did not disappoint! Everyone there was so helpful and I got to try so many flavors! Even gave me water to wash my palate while I was trying flavors and everything! Very happy customer!
The reason for the 4 stars is the quality of their juice. I came in for just one or two flavors to tide me over but I’m a sucker for deals. Their house juice was buy 4 for 5 bucks each and get the 5^th juice free. Thats 5 bottles for 4 bucks each! What a deal! The flavors were really enjoyable in the shop so I bought blueberry, pinapple coconut rum, melon, juicy peach, and apple. When I got home and really started hitting these… I realized I got what I paid for. These liquids aren’t even comparable to the Halo liquids. Next time I will definitely have to try one of their premium brand juices.
Sorry vape away! It kills me to not leave you 5 stars because you really were wonderful! Next time I will buy the premium liquid and hopefully will update this review to 5 stars!

First I want to say the people in here are very nice! They’re extremely willing to help… they cleaned my battery for me, tried to help us fix a broken battery & have answered all my questions. That being said, I’m extremely disappointed with this next part… They sold me a knock off EVOD. The top & the battery!
My boyfriend bought himself an EVOD at «It Is Vape» in Redwood City. It worked amazing & we were in love with it. We headed over to Vape Away to get one for me (because it was close and I’ve had great experiences there in the past). From the moment we got it it seemed weird because it wasn’t hitting as well as the real one. A couple days later I was filling both of ours at the same time and realized there were some differences– one says «Kangertech EVOD» & one says nothing, pieces are smaller, one hits better, ect. I got online to look at the differences between a real EVOD vs a knockoff and sure enough it’s a fake… and so is the battery.
They advertise as the «lowest prices in the area» but that’s because they sell fakes… I spent the last of my spending money on these so that makes it even more disappointing. They ripped me off without even skipping a beat. I keep debating whether or not to go back and say something. Either way I will not be going back to purchase anything, except maybe flavor.

First, I’m a relatively inexperienced vaper. I walked into this shop right at opening. The staff were amazingly friendly, knowledgable, and best of all, not pushy!
I must have spent over an hour in there, taste testing dozens of liquids, joking and having a great time.
I ended up spending 60-​ish bucks on juice, new atomizers, and LOADS of advice, and I feel like *they* were the folks cheated out of money!
If you are new to the experience, you MUST come here! I’ve been in a couple of other shops, and while I didn’t have a bad experience, these guys and gals blew them out of the water!
No rush, no push, no stress. Just come hang out! You’ll likely learn something, and will probably buy something anyway. But it’s your decision. Kudos to Rikky and his crew!
On a side note, I sent a note to Rikky about a concern I had, and he got right back to me. Customer service outside the walls of the store. It really put the cherry on top for me.

Walked in to check out what they had in stock just to see for myself. Staff was not knowledgeable at all. They didnt know if the mods were clones or originals (based on pricing and quality, they are clones).
Juice selection is tiny compared to other stores.
Need to stock more items to appeal to a bigger audience!

Came here to buy juice and accessories once before and today was to buy a new vape pen since I thought mine broke. I dropped it a couple times and tend to destroy things that I love.
Didn’t need to. She fixed it! Like a pro — did some prodding with a flat screw driver and voila! FIXED. LIKE NEW.
Gotta love a store that will help you fix something you didn’t even buy there.
They know I’ll be back when my juice is out and when I need to buy coils.

If you want to have the best customer service experience ever, this is the place to go! Everyone was able to answer questions and knows what they’re talking about. Friendly family atmosphere, lots of products to try — they make sure you are happy with your choices before you leave! I’ve recommended it to friends and had them come in and buy products too — its always a great laugh — gotta try the Vanilla Custard — OMG! Dessert without the spoon! (tried mixing a little with blueberry — YUMMY!!) omg blueberry custard without the calories! SCORE! :o)

Was very helpful and knowledgeable about their products.
They were patient and helpful when taste testing all their flavors. I think we tasted close to 20 of them.
They just recently opened and have great specials. Current special– Buy 4 get 1free for their e-​liquids which are usually $ 5 each.
They take AMEX.
They are in the works to getting the filipino dessert flavors like pandan n ube!
They’ll set up the vape for you before you leave.
They make sure you leave happy!
