Description

Specialties

At The House of Jam we engineer and produce a wide variety of projects that include artist recording and production, singer/songwriter production, live band recording, voice-over for audio books, commercials and more. When not in the studio, we provide audio support for live events in the D.C. Metro area.

History

Established in 1992.

At age 21, Dave joined the staff at No Evil Recording Studio (which later became Startec, one of the largest studios in the D.C. area), a digital and analog multi-track recording facility. During his five years there, Dave was able to learn a great deal under the tutelage of engineer Nick Koumoutseas and Paul Wolf, while honing his production skills and networking with a «Who’s Who» of the Washington D.C. music scene. In 2008, Dave Hanbury built a brand new House of Jam studio from the ground up in Beltsville, Maryland. As the years have progressed, so too has the House of Jam, with the additional space and constant equipment upgrades.
