Luigi put our stuff into storage. When we called to retrieve it he never responded. The owner of the storage facility claimed Luigi hadn’t paid rent, so the owner charged us a bundle to get our items out. Luigi forged my name on a letter. Luigi never called back, but kept sending bills for storage! Use Luigi at your peril.

I think my family has been using Baker Moving & Storage since 1982 or thereabouts. In all the time that we’ve used Baker Moving & Storage, we’ve never had a problem. They showed up as scheduled, handled all of our possessions with care, completed the task promptly and held to their estimates. Although most of our moves have been local, they did handle moving my mother to Hawaii once. For a moving company, that is really all you can ask for.
One of the best things about Luigi and his team is that they always find a way to get something moved.
Most recently we contacted Baker Moving to help us out getting a new washing machine and dryer from the street to our house. (We live in a «hill-​hugger» in Mill Valley that has tricky access.) Baker Moving did what two other organizations could not do — got the new washer and dryer down from the street. Something two other organizations told us was impossible.
I highly recommend them.

I needed to move my 95 year old mother from one retirement community in Marin to another. Luigi was there with 2 others and he did a fabulous job. Arrived at 9 am, boxed everything up, loaded and drove it over, unloaded and put everything away, including making the bed She was only out of the apartment for 6 hours. Extremely easy move and it was at standard pricing.

baker moving was referred to me by an old friend who knew the owner Luigi for a long time. my friend was right. Luigi did a fabulous job every time I dealt with him. He has helped me out on a couple of projects since i first had dealings with him. Each time he went the extra mile to get things done. It is a joy working with Luigi, who is a long time local businessman. If you want to get your job done right call baker moving.

They really did an amazing job! Admittedly the situation we all found ourselves in was or could have been disastrous; the place we were moving into at the time was a nightmare. Luigi, took control of the situation and really stepped up to the plate. He and his crew (all of which were great and professional) went far beyond expectation. They, cleaned (which was supposed to have been done) and much more that was not their «job». Luigi even spoke to the (w/​out our even asking him (he knew our agreement and knew it was not met) landlord on our behalf. I would recommend this moving company to anyone and plan to use them again in the future. With all that being said, everything was in mint condition, clean and placed exactly right. Thank you!

Never used their service but saw one of their moving trucks lost boxes of paper all over Northbound 101 by the North San Pedro Exit in San Rafael on 4÷30÷2011 which caused major traffic jam on both directions for more than 1 hour. Guess I won’t be using their service in the future.

Our family has hired Baker Moving and Storage for many moves. We stored furniture in their warehouse while living on the East Coast for seven years and feel confident in recommending Baker to friends. Luigi runs a tight ship, charges a fair rate and hires the best workers.

I have been a customer for over 35 years. Luigi Baker blew it. Lost all my family heirlooms dating back seven generations. Don’t trust him. We paid him storage fees and this is a disaster

B M & S came highly recommended… Spoke with the owner Luigi, he gave me a high estimate after inspecting a commercial job, but decided to use his services due to a great referral. A change in plans as all moving jobs go & seemed as though Luigi was put off & made alot of excuses as to how hard the job was going to be. I asked several times for a bottom line price & could never get one from him. In the meantime he took it upon himself to make arrangements 1 day earlier from our scheduled date to get a head start on the job without communicating to me. He arrived late & was told by commercial employees he spent 1 hr on the job. I had to make several calls to him to find out what his plan was & again how much he planned on charging me for his service. Luigi again could not come up with a price and was not happy of me questioning his abilities in getting the job done fair & timely. My partners & I decided to fire him. He was arguing with me on the phone over the work he did & came up with an absurd price. I agreed to pay him a fair price for the 2 hrs he claimed working & thought I’d be done with this guy. The next morning, My newly hired crew arrived & found Mr Luigi lurking/​stalking in the background watching the entire Move. Not very Professional as the Professional Mover he claims he is.
