We call ourselves a custom cookie company because while we have lots of delicious gourmet cookies; Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodles, or best selling Toasted Toffee Pecan, and more! We can also create any flavor you like, make a custom cookie cutter and hand decorated cookie for your special event.

In fact, we are told over and over that our willingness to meet the needs of our customers is the reason people want to buy from Bend Cookie Company.

We create personalized hand decorated cookies or gourmet cookies for any occasion. We also have a variety of gift options for local delivery or shipping nationwide.

History

Established in 2010.

«We should open a cookie company,» spoken in a small bakery in Cotaccachi, Ecuador after eating a not so tasty treat. Our time in Ecuador was part of a 2 year adventure, hitting 8 countries and 12 U.S. states with our 2 school aged children. The trip was part of a lifestyle change that ended corporate careers and re-​focused our lives on those things that are important.

Returning to the states in the middle of a recession, in a new city with few job opportunities, we decided to start or own business that would be fun, allow us to work together, and provide an opportunity to personally connect to our customers.

Voila! Bend Cookie Company was born! Our aim is to provide personalized, hand decorated, custom designed cookies for all life’s celebrations. Each of our sugar cookies is made from scratch, hand-​decorated one cookie at a time. We carry a full line of gourmet cookies, using only the finest all natural ingredients with no preservatives. They are delicious!

I ordered a bouquet for a baby shower and Gina did an amazing job! The bouquet turned out better than imagined, and Gina went out of her way on her day off for me to pick it up! She really cares about her work and it shows!

We received a fabulous bouquet of cookies at my new job welcoming us to the neighborhood yesterday. We all looked at the cookies and thought they were too pretty to eat, so they sat on my desk for a few hours. It was torture looking at them my whole shift. Thank God, my boss decided we had better eat them before they sat too long.
Now, I am a little bit of a cookie lover and have had some bad sugar cookies. I find that they tend to be hard with that nasty royal icing, so I was a little nervous that the taste would ruin how gorgeous they were.
These were the very best sugar cookies I have ever tasted. VERY BEST.

A friend introduced us to Bend Cookie Company delights when she brought us a bag of their oatmeal cookies «just because». She’s something of a cookie aficionado and thought they were great. We think she’s right!
We’d indulge in Bend Cookie Company (BCC) delights once in a while and buy them at Newport Avenue Market (our favorite independent neighborhood grocer).
Then serendipity!
Mom and daughter owners now have the booth right next to Bonta Natural Artisan Gelato at the NW Crossing Farmers Market (Sat 10 — 2). It makes it very easy to pick up a bag to go, as we did last Saturday with Snickerdoodles to tuck into a picnic basket to introduce friends to Bend Cookie Company treats this week. (I report, with mixed emotions, that while I have been making great Snickerdoodles since I was eleven years old, the Bend Cookie Company’s version is greater!)
BCC’s original claim to fame comes from their shaped, beautifully iced and decorated sugar cookies, suitable for about any custom occasion like for wedding favors, or for baby showers, or to celebrate birthdays or graduations. Or as a business gifts. Come to think of it, that’s a great idea! We just had delivered some pretty spendy patio furniture and the place we bought it from included four plastic glasses with their logo on them. Ha! Think how much more impressive it would have been to get a nice box of «thank you» Bend Cookie Company cookies to enjoy with iced tea while sitting in the new furniture! ;-)
BCC also makes the drop cookies we prefer like the aforementioned Snickerdoodle. Or cranberry cinammon. Or toasted pecan and toffee. To name just a few.
Sometimes a wonderful, home baked, buttery and just sweet enough cookie is just the ticket. And with Bend Cookie Company’s help, you don’t even have to get out a bowl or turn on your oven. How sweet is THAT?
BCC cookies are available not only at Newport Market, but at the NWX Farmers Market and by mail order too. Plus we hear they may deliver locally. (Worth a call to ask.)
