Bend Riverside Motel Suites

I booked this for my honeys bday trip to Bend (first time) and thought a river view room would be great. And they allow pets. But we didn’t have a river view. We had a parking lot view and a view of people walking by our window. So theres that. The room smelled weird — like someone trying to mask a really bad smell. Non smoking room but i would have preferred to smell smoke. Seriously dated — those bedspreads really? Light fixture hanging off the ceiling. Shower — no tub. «Queen» bed was really a full size. I was afraid to touch anything. We ended up NOT checking out the hot tub as planned. In short — $ 105 out the door not remotely worth it — next time i will spend a bit more elsewhere on our romantic getaway. Okay if you’re renting by the hour or just dont care. I have no idea where we will stay if we ever return but it surely won’t be here.

The only good thing about this place is it’s location… right on the Deschutes River. Previously we had stayed in a «suite» but this past week-​end, one was not available so, for $ 10 more, we booked a «cottage». The bed was so hard (& there was no sofa to sleep on) we checked out a day early, as neither my husband or I could sleep either of the 2 nights we stayed there. Room was smaller than less-​expensive suite & there was no patio or balcony to overlook the river… just dirty windows! So we paid more for a smaller room with no sofa & patio or balcony! Won’t book a cottage again. The clerks at check-​in & check-​out were very unfriendly & not helpful or informative at all!

It’s been a long time since we visited Bend. We knew they took pets and that the location was nice by the river and park. Since it was raining I knew the kids would enjoy the indoor pool. I knew not to expect much as far as the rooms went. But our room smelled of cat urine so bad it was horrible. And they really really should do something about the hideous bed spreads. It could be such a great place. Not worth the price to get a river view. They are working on the places as were replacing all the windows in our building. So wish they would truly make improvements and make it nice. Not fancy, just nice. Definitely do not plan to stay here again unless they do.

Rooms are in desperate need of an interior decorator.
Pool is indoors with a large hot tub and sauna. Seems musty and not very clean. Maybe it was just the big dome over everything.
The units are individually owned and rented through a management company.
Located directly next to Pioneer Park, which is beautiful during the day.
For $ 90 I’d rather stay at the Ameritel or Marriott across the street which are a bit more updated and cleaner.
