Dan is the kind of guy we have come to really appreciate since moving to Bend. It seems like we are back in the 50’s. Hard working honest tradesmen not trying to rip you off. Dan was running late and called before he was scheduled. We did business with someone when we first moved in and feel we were ripped off. Dan’s program makes sense and affordable. He made sure we understood what he was going to do up front and why
We will use Dan for sure next time we have a pest problem.

We noticed that a couple of mice were setting up residence in our garage. I found Dan’s contact information through Unilocal and due to the outstanding feedback, called and asked him to come assess our situation rodent-​wise. What a great decision.
Dan spent an hour going through the whole house and identified the route into our garage– the pet doors. He told us who to call and how to solve the problem. He could not have been more helpful or professional. What amazed us, and actually makes me feel badly, is that he would not accept any compensation for his assessment and help. If you have pest issues, I cannot recommend Dan more highly. It is great to know that we have such a dependable and stellar resource should we again experience a problem with mice or other pests. Call him– you will be glad that you chose him!

Dan was great to work with. I think he’s an honest local business man that won’t sell you anything you don’t really need. He spent a lot of time with me going over my situation and suggested much less was needed than I originally expected. He easily could have sold more service than I needed.

I couldn’t believe the service from Dan. I have very loud birds accosting my roof every morning in the early am. I emailed Dan on a Sunday (thinking he would get back to me on Monday) and he returned my email that very same day! I waited to call him until Monday, left a voicemail and he promptly returned my call. He was so knowledgeable, kind and fair. He gave me some do it myself pointers with products I could find at Lowes, directed me to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife website for additional information on protected birds and even suggested another local company I could use that would supply me with a sound device to deter the birds. I couldn’t believe it! He kind of suggested himself out of business in aiding me with all of that information, although I’m now just itching for termites or bees that Dan can help us with. He was also so very patient on the phone, even though he was directing business elsewhere, he was so considerate with all of my questions and genuinely made me feel better about my bird situation!

I called Dan to remove a wasps hive the size of a basket ball. Never used him before. He was excellent! He came the same day I called, removed the hive, treated the wood where it was so they wouldn’t come back, and simply left the bill under the door. He was very reasonably-​priced. I will call him again!

Dan is great! He is extremely knowledgeable, has great communication and reliable. He will be my «go-​to guy» for insect issues from now on. Don’t look anywhere else… all the Unilocal reviews are honest and correct!!! Dan is your man for pests! See you in the Spring!

DAN IS THE BEST!!! I have a medium size paper wasp nest in the eves of my front porch, but it’s only four feet away from a bird nest. I want to remove the nest myself (at night when it’s cold & they’re sleeping) but, I was afraid to use a poison spray or just knock it down because they may attack the baby birds. I decided to call Dan this morning & I’m SO happy I did! He really took the time to listen and he offered extremely helpful suggestions & tips. I feel so much better now ~ removing them with the correct techniques~ while protecting both myself and the baby birds! THANK YOU DAN!!! YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE I WILL CALL for any future wildlife & pest control needs!

Dan is the MAN! I emailed him this morning after a mouse sauntered out from under my ottoman, crossed the living room floor into the kitchen, grabbed a beer from the fridge, came back, and changed the channel I was watching. Well, only some of that happened, but anyway, Dan called me 10 minutes later and was at my house within an hour. After just an hour and a half, I already feel better about the icktastic mouse situation here. He secures copper mesh in compromised crawl spaces, places traps under the house, and comes back 2 or 3 more times to make sure he has gotten rid of all mice. This is exceptional service. He is so nice and dealt with my unfounded fear of mice very professionally. I am excited to know that the mice no longer have one up on me. Thank you, Dan!

I called Dan based on the Unilocal reviews I read… found a yellow jacket bees nest in the backyard. Because yellow jackets create their hives underground, I had no idea how big the hive would be. Dan arrived an hour earlier than predicted and was courteous and well prepared. He explained everything clearly and I immediately felt comfortable! And he’s BRAVE!!! When he started «uncovering» part of the hive to spray he had to run because those yellow jackets are fast! But, he was not deterred and went back with a vengeance!!! He was awesome! He’s coming back in a few days to «dig out» the rest of the hive after the spray does its magic. I’m so glad I called him… the rate was more than reasonable and now I can get back to my lawn work! I wanted to follow up on an earlier review I wrote about Dan at Dan’s Pest Control. Sometimes you get a good first impression of a person or a company, but it doesn’t hold up the next time you use them. Not so with Dan! We had occasion to use Dan again just the other day, and once again my wife and I were very impressed. You simply can’t ask for a more honest and conscientious businessman. Very, very highly recommended!

We contacted Dan to address a mouse concern. Using a safe non-​chemical approach, Dan solved the issue after a thorough inspection throughout the house, within the crawl space and around the foundation perimeter, and the application of traps at strategically located pathways.
Dan seems like an expert in his field and has deep insight in the behavior of pests, accomplished from extensive ongoing education. He is sensitive to the needs of his customers, considers their concerns and provides clear explanations of his suggested approach.
There is no reason to contact any other pest control person — Dan is your man !

Dan took my call on a Sunday afternoon after I had called a few other pest control businesses where I got answering machines. I came home to find a huge swarm of bees or wasps (I wasn’t sure what they were) in my backyard. He came out to the house promptly, assessed the situation and told me they were in fact bees. At that point he referred me to a local beekeeper for removal. Dan was professional, polite, punctual and didn’t make fun of me freaking out like a little kid because I’m afraid of bees. I’d highly recommend Dan to anyone that has a pest issue (bugs, rodents, unwelcome wildlife).

When I noticed that we had a mice problem I called Dan and he was so helpful over the phone of what I could do to start fixing the problem. He came out the next day and attacked the situation right away. Throughout the month he came by once a week to check on the traps. Dan was on time and very professional. I have not seen any activity since:) I always love to support small local business. Hopefully you will! If we ever have a problem again I will 100% give him a call.

I cannot say enough great things about Dan and his company, Dan’s Pest & Wildlife Control. First of all, no one wants to have to call an exterminator to come to their house to fix a pest issue. However, Dan’s professionalism and knowledge made it a very good experience. We loved the fact that his vehicle was discreet so the nosy neighbors didn’t get worried.
The yellow jackets in Bend were bad this year. After being away from our house for a good part of the summer because our newborn son was in the NICU, we came back and noticed a few of yellow jackets flying into the crawl space under our house through a vent near our garden hose. We had no idea the extent of the problem until we heard this very loud and scary «purring sound» while we were sitting in our living room… INSIDE OUR HOUSE. We found out later that the sound was the result of the yellow jackets in the nest flapping their wings to keep the nest warm. Scary stuff! These bad boys were not going anywhere this winter because they had a nice and dry, cushy place to live.
With a new born baby in the house, we were nervous to call a pest control expert. We didn’t want any harsh chemicals used that could get us sick. Dan was very accommodating because he told us that his company uses both non-​chemical methods and /​or safe products to control pests. We made an appointment for a service visit and then Dan showed up right on time the next day, going straight to work on our infestation. He used a treatment technique which only required a small amount of a substance that is commonly used on dogs and cats to control fleas and ticks. This was comforting because we knew that this would be safe for our family including our dogs (not that we were planning on ingesting this stuff directly but it was nice to know it wasn’t something that required a hazmat suit…) It was obvious that Dan was a highly trained and experienced with not only how to control yellow jackets but also other pests. After a few days, Dan came back to crawl under the house and remove the nest after the yellow jackets died off. Holy Cow! Those nasty suckers had been there longer than we had thought.
Thanks to Dan we dont have to worry about the yellow jackets any more and if they do come back and make a nest somewhere else on our property, we know to call Dan’s Pest & Wildlife Control again. I would strongly recommend him to any of our friends and family.

Dan came out on Sunday (Mother’s Day) to help us rid of the nasty carpenter ants we discovered that surrounded our newly constructed home. So far, so good. Haven’t seen any new ant hills or stragglers. He was on time, professional and the price had a guarantee for up to a year.

I have used Dan’s Pest Control on several occasions for a variety of issues. He gives great customer service, is responsive to the customer’s needs, takes care of whatever needs to be done asap and is very polite. He returns calls and answers his emails and is willing to communicate with whatever medium necessary to get the job done.
