History

Established in 2003.

I became an Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist in November 2003. I specialize in integrative massage therapy with a focus on rehabilitative deeper myofascial massage and active release techniques. I also have ten years experience in the Luxury Resort Destination Spa world. I have worked at Sage Springs Spa at Sunriver Resort, and it’s sister resort Alvadora Spa at the Royal Palms in Phoenix, AZ, where I was their Aquatic Massage resident therapist. I am now focusing my energy towards aquatic work, while maintaining my land/table based private massage practice at my home office and warm pool here in Bend. I am conveniently located close to shopping, chiropractors, the hospital, and downtown. I am four blocks North of Juniper Pool/Park, in the heart of the Orchard District on the western slopes of Pilot Butte State Park.

Meet the Business Owner

Evan S.

Business Owner

Hello, my name is Evan Smith, I have been an Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist since November 2003. I am a Bend native, but spent my 20s in New York City, working for Revlon Cosmetics in-house advertising agency as a Media Planner. In this job I was lucky to visit many of New York City’s finest day spas, and get introduced to the world of spa treatments, reflexology, and massage. I came across an issue of Spa Finder magazine through my work, and read about an exotic sounding treatment called Watsu, a special form of weightless massage performed in a warm pool. I was intrigued (my first job was as a lifeguard and years as a swim instructor) Combining my love of massage, hot springs, warm water pools… I had to do this!

I moved back to Bend in 2002, enrolled in an unusual Associates Degree program in Massage at Central Oregon Community College, and accumulated 1500 hours training. I started working for myself, Spas, and took 250 more hours training in Watsu at Harbin Hot Springs.
