Let me start with the staff was really great. They were sweet and attentive. One girl appeared to be in training but all very helpful. When you walk into the store, it really does smell amazing. It has a old school theme in a great part of Bend. I ordered their caramel corn that was not bad, it was fresh and flavorful. That’s about where the good comments end. I also ordered a turtle sundae. It was probably the worst sundae I’ve ever had. The vanilla ice cream tasted like it was sugar and fat free, it lacked flavor to the point of concern. The hot fudge and caramel drizzle sadly matched the icecream. The chocolate and caramel flavors were undistinguishable from eachother. The caramel texture was like it was burnt. The chocolate was plentiful but the taste was absent. Now let’s talk about the waffle bowl it was served in. It was hard as a freaking rock, looked like it was a tortilla and tasted like one too. For 6.95 I expected it to be decent. On a scale of 1 to 10 on my Sunday it hardly sets a record with a 2. I want to remind people that this is no fault of the people working here but rather the quality of the ingredients used.

Very cute, nostalgic soda fountain. I prefer the milkshakes. My kids like to get the old fashioned sodas. This is a perfect, simple treat spot to look forward to while strolling downtown Bend. Their fudge is good too. Their service could be a bit friendlier.

I come here several times EACH Central OR visit. Love the homemade milkshakes. Nice and thick. And the Carmel corn made fresh daily, ohhhh my!!! Always great service and a downtown favorite. They even pulled my fav flavor out of the back(coconut) and gave me a special scoop. I begged cuz I’m out of town, so great of them!

Came in after dinner with the kids in tow… we ordered a couple kids sundaes and an original sundae for my wife and I to split. The kids sundaes were made in no time flat… After I ordered«the Original», the girl behind the counter then asked what kind of ice cream? I pointed to the menu where it listed the original as containing chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream, and said those will be fine. They finished putting it together and set it on the counter… as girl set it down on the counter… because everything was mounded over the sides of the dish so much, the toppings and whipped cream slid off and onto the counter. As the girl who made the sundae, walked away and I started cleaning up the mess, she said sorry… I finished cleaning up the mess and went to the table to sit down. What I found was a table top that was sticky from what appeared to be various ice cream toppings that had been spilled and then had dried on the table top… I think I’ll skip this spot next time Im in town. Ive seen cleaner 7 – 11’s…

I have updated my review to 3 stars due to Goody’s great management team that reached out to me. They were apologetic and very concerned about customer satisfaction. I plan on going back very soon to give them another try. I have high hopes a new training program has been implemented with the staff and will update my review again accordingly.

How can you resist walking into Goody’s?!! The smell of their freshly made waffle cones and dishes is intoxicating! I was disappointed in their ice cream selection(they only had about 10 choices). I chose cookies and cream and it was good. Nothing outstanding. I ordered a waffle bowl but they gave me a waffle come instead. No big deal. The waffle cone was really tasty. I think 4.75 for one scoop + waffle cone is pretty steep.

By far the best ice cream in Bend! Their Oreo ice cream is amazingggg and their prices are very reasonable. Love the old time atmosphere.

I had heard so many good things about Goody’s downtown that I made a special trip just to try it out. We had a couple of the chocolate treats and they were very good. But, I don’t think it was all that special. To me, it was like any store front shop such as Kilwins, Rocky Mountain, etc. I would go back but I would not make a special tirp.

Nice, lots of old time candies and ice cream. Good for kids, me not so much. I’m not into bouncing off the walls because of a sugar high.

This has always been a must-do when we go to Bend. This year, the service was horrible! The girl acted annoyed that we ordered more than one item, we were SHOCKED! We couldn’t wait to get out of there, we felt so unwelcome! We loved the ice cream AND chocolates AND caramel corn, but the visit left a horrible taste in our mouth. We’ll have second thoughts before we stop in again. Goodies, you need to train your employees to at least act like they want to help you.

We visit Bend once a year and always stop at Goody’s. The service is always friendly and the ice cream, whether on a cone or in a sundae, is always yummo. They don’t offer a lot of flavors like the bigger chains, but what they do offer is made with quality ingredients. Prices are extremely reasonable and portions are generous. They also make phosphate sodas, have their own candy counter and even stuffed animals. I wouldn’t say the candy is amazing, but it isn’t too bad. The one thing I do love is their marionberry creams. Apparently, marionberries are only grown in Oregon and I know that I’ve never seen marionberry candy outside of Oregon. If you’re in the area, give Goody’s a try.

Old fashioned banana split is the best bang for your buck. For less than $ 6 you get 3 scoops of ice cream(any flavor combinations of your choice), 3 toppings plus whipped cream, nuts and a cherry on top. Wooo that’s a whole lot of yumminess on one plate! Preferably share the banana split because the thought of one person eating a banana split alone has suddenly made me sad. People should not be allowed to order banana splits for one. Enjoy the old timey ambiance. Sit at the swivel seat counters. Make friends.

I like this place for the old timey Soda shoppe bar. Lot’s of candy, sodas, drinks and ice cream to order. I had the Marionberry ice cream and it was amazing. Minus two star for the amount of youth’s working there. I’m so scared.

The sundaes are good; in fact, the maple bacon sundae is worth having, but-for the most part-it wasn’t what I expected. It may be a matter of personal preference or what you happen to order. I would suggest going in and trying a regular cone so you can better taste the ice cream and not all the flavoing that may work better.

Goody’s in Sunriver was one of my favorite places as a kid. I came in after dinner with a few others after dinner nearby for a bit of nostalgia. I had the maple bacon sundae, I would not order it again, the bacon was of the bitz variety I believe. My fault :) as always though the ice cream was good.

Hands down the best ice cream I’ve ever had. And to think I almost didn’t have any because it was 20 degrees outside. We were at a local resort and just wandering downtown Bend and stumbled into this place. So good I made the entire family go to the one in Redmond two days later on the way back to Portland. The chocolate was delicious. The cookies n crème was awesome, plenty of Oreo cookie pieces. Marrionberry ice cream and sorbet were yummy. All served in homemade waffle cones! Too bad they are only available in central Oregon.

Ice cream is my drug of choice so we always stop into Goody’s when we are in town. If your in the mood for a sundae they have everything from smores, to turtle to maple bacon on the menu. Just looking for a scoop? Get one in a waffle cone, they fold the bottom in like an envelope so you don’t end up with any dripping out the bottom. I will say they don’t have the best candy selection, that prize goes to Powell’s down the street but they do ice cream and they do it very well.

Even while competing against the Powell’s down the street, Goody’s has managed to remain a prominent local sweets store in Central Oregon. Whether you’re a fan of candy, ice cream, sodas, or shakes, they do an excellent job. Their prices are comparable, if not lower, than Powell’s, and supporting local businesses is always awesome. Pro-tip: I found out that if you’re torn between two ice cream flavors(and somewhat lactose intolerant), you can ask for a single scoop and have two different flavors.

Marionberry Ice Cream. Enough said. Ok. Maybe I should say a bit more. They make their ice cream here. That is big in my book. They make Marionberry Ice Cream. That is also very big in my book. It is like an old time ice cream shop experience when you walk into this place. I don’t know what else to say. Get some ice cream here and a smile will form on your face. Enjoy.

Lollipop, lollipop, oh, lolly, lolly, lolly… This is a must stop when we are with the kids in downtown Bend. Always get a Willy Wonka in the Chocolate Factory vibe, but without the surreal quality. Homemade ice cream(about 10 flavors to choose from) and a single scoop costs $ 2.75. Ouch! They have so many other treats to choose from — popcorn, lollipops(the enormous swirled kind), truffles and other sweets are piled up in the display case and the wall behind the counter is lined with glass jars filled with hundreds of types of candies. Whenever I’m in this store, I always wish they’d take it to the next level. It is a bit dingy and it isn’t sparkling and modern or that old fashioned but super cute kinda store either. There are also a ton of stuffed animals for sale, which is a bit odd. Basically a little bit of everything treat store. They even had a Monopoly-like board game called Chocolate-opoly for sale.
