Jinsei Spa

I received a Jinsei gift card as a thank you from another business over a year ago. I’ve tried more than 8 times to use it and Jinsei is always booked. Staff is not overly pleasant or apologetic. They don’t need new customers so they don’t care if you never come in. They won’t buy their own cards back. I will be recommending to the realtor that gave it to me not to use Jinsei. There’s no thank you in a card that you can’t use.

Wonderful visit, wonderful massage, relaxing and peaceful environment. They also managed to fit me in when I called last minute, thank you.

I was recovering from a horrible head cold and Jaques executed the best 90 massage of my life. There was nothing «typical» about it. He is truly gifted. Very professional and made me feel very comfortable. I would book another massage in a heartbeat. The whole staff is very nice. The salon is clean and professional.

In town from Portland area for a bachelorette weekend & decided to treat myself to a little relaxation. Called only two days in advance to schedule the «Om» package. They were not able to accommodate the manicure portion, however made recommendations with similar options. I just finished the one hour massage and one hour — 15 minutes Jinsei facial. I feel glowy and refreshed. The esthetician, Summer, is very informative without lecturing & made me at ease. Kathy was my massage therapist and applied consistent pressure throughout the entire session. Both staff members I would highly recommend!

We did the couples massage and the masseuses were amazing. The space is very relaxing with a coed steam room, tea, infused water and trail mix for while you wait. Robes, sandals, lockers, etc., are provided as one might expect. Bathroom was stocked with plenty of supplies to freshen up post massage, including a hair straightener. Thank you!

I went in for a wax and was welcomed by the cheerful staff when I walked in the door. I loved the bright and relaxing atmosphere and my experience was great. Becca did my wax and she was very efficient and kind. She is personable you can tell she cares about her clients. I highly recommend Jinsei.

Just had the most AMAZING facial from Rene. From the moment I walked in they treated me like royalty. I love the tea and all of the individual and special treatment they give. The facial was absolutely incredible as well. I feel so relaxed and my skin looks amazing. I am very pleased!

4 of us decided to visit Jinsei for a relaxing girls day on our annual visit to Sunriver. We called on a Monday and they worked to accommodate all of us for massages. The receptionist was incredibly patient and friendly. The Spa its self was perfect; very private, relaxing and clean. Before going in we were able to kick back in the relaxation room or loosen up in the steam room (INTENSE). I had Jaques and he was great. Probably one of the best massages I have ever had. The best part was that after we were all finished not a single one of us girls was dissatisfied! When does that ever happen?! We were able to shower and get ready at the Spa for our evening out. We even sampled the make-​up line they sell on site. Thank you Jinsei for taking care of us. We will certainly return next year!

This was a great find! I will be back whenever we visit Bend. Great prices and the therapist I had (the French Guy) was wonderful! I’m very picky and often find myself wishing I had not bothered booking a massage. This time I had an excellent experience and walked away feeling very relaxed and happy.
I also loved the fact they have a steam room!

well, that was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Karen was my masseuse and she was FANTASTIC. literally amazing massage. she was very kind, professional, and literally just darn good at her job. I was sad when it was over. I would highly recommend this. especially Karen! when you’re done, you also can go sit in a steam room.

My husband and I treated ourselves to the Yin-​Yang couples package and the spa experience was exactly what I was looking for.
The check-​in area is cozy with lots of different products offered. The nail salon is just off to the right when you enter. But once you get back into the spa area, the place is transformed. We were led downstairs where we felt immersed in a darkness that was comforting and relaxing.
The changing room was nice, cozy, with lockers, only one toilet room, one shower. Definitely try out the Pure Fiji lotion. I ended up buying a bottle before I left. My only con is that there wasn’t a lot of counter space for me to use when I needed to get ready (for dinner) after my massage.
We were told we could use the sauna or enjoy the relaxation room before our massage but we didn’t get a chance to since we were ushered into our suite as soon as we got out of the changing room (the only part that seemed rushed).
The couple’s suite is all encompassing and very romantic. I liked that we could stay in the room the whole time and didn’t have to move. There was a fireplace but no fire, which is fine because it was warm outside! Our bath was ready and waiting once we got into the room. We had champagne, water, and chocolates to enjoy in the bath for about 25 minutes before our massages started.
The massages were excellent! My husband fell asleep, which he hardly does during massages. And I enjoyed my deep tissue massage. I would go back!

Totally worth the time and money!
Had a great massage with Karen. Have had many massages in my life and from great people in Bend. Karen was tops. She listened to my preferences and needs throughout the entire massage. The music and facility had just the right relaxing ambiance to set the relaxing mood. I’d go weekly if I could. The only drawback is the locker room isn’t very private. The robes are not meant for curvy larger girls and the slippers were small. And the steam room is really meant for 2 people MAX.

I have been to many resorts and other spas for massages while on vacation. The facilities and staff were delightful. Definitely an awesome experience.

I’m literally speechless, this place is so amazing. First of all, definitely get there 15 minutes early to take advantage of their steam room and tea/​cucumber water if you’re getting a massage. They provide you with lovely robes and slippers and a locker to leave all your things.
For Christmas I got my boyfriend the couples massage and we both got pedicures (I’ve been trying to talk him into a man-​pedi for months — he kept thinking they would paint his nails). The couples massage was UNREAL. You spend around 30 minutes in an aromatherapy bath with a fireplace, champagne and strawberries. It’s SO romantic and beautiful, it’s just ridiculous. Ridiculous. Our massages were the best we’ve both ever had, hands down.
While booking our whole afternoon, they were absolutely perfect in giving us a good amount of time to sit and zone out for 15 minutes after our massages before someone came to find us in the waiting area/​steam room and brought us to our pedicures.
Everyone I spoke to was extremely nice and professional. I was just in awe at how well organized and efficiently executed everything was at Jinsei.
Two days later, I still feel like mush. I’m wondering when I can find an excuse to go back to Bend just so I can get another massage at Jinsei…

Not what I wanted, not what I asked for. I gave two stars because the technician was friendly but the results were very disappointing. I had an eyebrow wax from Kelly and I was very specific in telling her what I wanted. I told her «full, thick eyebrows. Better to take off too little than too much.» Well she gave me thin eyebrows. Pros: Nice atmosphere and mostly friendly. Cons: bad eyebrow job.

I’ve tried a few places in Bend for pedicures and for massage, and have been somewhat disappointed. It was nice to leave Jinsei today after their signature pedicure feeling relaxed, refreshed, and happy.
The two things I’m really interested in during a pedicure are a nice quiet place to sit and read or relax, and a great foot and calf massage. On both fronts, I felt Jinsei did a great job. Unlike other reviewers, the lady working with me didn’t say a word until after the massage when I told her wonderful it was. I was definitely happy with how long the massage was, too. The other two places I’ve been to downtown had either a very chatty person or they rushed it as soon as a new client came in. Not to mention that the polish job was worse than I could have done myself. At Jinsei, I felt like the woman was very focused on providing me a top-​quality experience.
Given the quality and the length of the pedicure, I won’t bicker about the price although it’s definitely too much to do regularly. The only other small downside is the raised bench seats for the pedicure aren’t contoured chairs that really support your back. But I was surprisingly comfortable throughout, so it didn’t matter.

After trying a few of the other places in Bend and Sunriver, Jinsei is my favorite. My sister and I decided to use a gift card she had and get our massages in the same room. Granted it was the «couples» room and the little bathtub was funny, but the massages were great and we could talk to each other at the same time. She has gone back again and didn’t have a great massage, but she also didn’t speak up when she wasn’t happy which is not a good thing when you are trusting someone with your sore muscles.
I am taking two friends there soon to celebrate our recent college graduation and i can’t wait to show them a nice, clean, and relaxing place.

I haven’t had a pedicure in over 3 years, and when my sister came to town to have a «girls» day, what better way to spend some time than to have a side-​by-​side pedicure! This is going to be a BIG treat!!!
After searching and searching, it seemed as though Jinsei Spa was one of the very few places in Bend offering a side-​by-​side on Sunday — GREAT! Although, at first, I was very put off by the crappy music from the website (it’s really annoying), I was determined not to let that stop me from making an appointment.
The receptionist was very friendly — made our appointments, and we were all scheduled to go.
The front waiting room, the bathroom, the nail room, they were all very well decorated and warm. After choosing our colors, we sat down on comfy seats and set our toes in the warm bubbling water.
Our two nail technicians were friendly… but I think I’d rather take a great pedicure rather than a friendly face! Overall, I have to say that the pedicure was poor, average at best! My pedicure barely lasted 35 minutes, though I paid $ 48 for 45 minutes. The foot/​leg massage was weak (I stand on my feet all day, every day, and THAT was what I was looking forward to the most). And, it gross, yes, but I pay for a pedicure to have someone else really dig deep into my toes and get all the gunk out — no luck here ladies.
So, for the rare times that I actually make it to a spa to get a special treatment… I’ll have to try another place — ESPECIALLY if I’m going to shell out another 50 bucks! In the mean time, I’ll have to get out my own clippers and get diggin’.

Yeah, I’ve definitely had better. Emily P and I hit the place in hopes of relaxing and enjoying each other’s company… but there were these little dividers between us, and so we had to lean forward to see each other (of course, we could still talk — but it’s always nice to see the face). Annoying.
Our ladies were pretty nice, but I’ll have to agree with Em that I’d rather have them not talk to me and receive some serious cleaning and work. I have pretty low-​key feet, and I just got a pedicure a couple months ago… so come on, don’t leave that dirt in the toes, and don’t leave me desiring MUCH more in the way of a massaged leg and foot. $ 56 (including tip) is WAY too much to spend for 30 minutes. Last time I had a $ 50 pedicure it rocked (good massage, hour long investment), and I was thinking that $ 50 was worth it. This time, however, I want my money back — or a better massaged leg with clean toes! Take your pick, Jinsei…
Also, I’ll again agree with Em about the website. Please take that music out of there… or at least provide me with a way to mute it. I was all ready to ditch out due to the annoying website. Like I’ve said before, I’m a website girl… and this one left quite a bit to be desired. It also took me forever to find out what their hours were. Help me out here…
Results: another over-​priced joint in Bend that probably won’t make it. They were dead when we were there on a weekend — not a good sign. I know that I won’t be going back — looks like I’m not the only one thinking that.
