Mary F. Anderson, P.C., Attorney at Law provides the following services in the Bend and Central Oregon area; DUII (DUI) Defense, Family Law, Divorce and Custody, and Criminal Defense.

History

Established in 2011.

Mary F. Anderson is an experienced litigator with over 15 years of courtroom experience, and over 100 jury trials as a Deputy District Attorney. She has received many awards for her work in and out of the courtroom, including DUII Prosecutor of the Year for the State of Oregon. Mary was appointed by two of Oregon’s Governors to serve as a member of the Governor’s Advisory Committee on DUII.

Before leaving the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office for private practice Mary prosecuted major felony cases including Murder, Manslaughter, Robbery, Sexual Abuse, Identity Theft and Child Pornography cases while also supervising a team of felony prosecutors. Mary is also known for her work with DUII (Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants) cases.

She is nationally recognized in the field of traffic safety and is sought out to teach lawyers, police officers, toxicologists and other professionals across the United States.

Mary is a faculty member at Indiana University’s Robert F. Borkenstein course on Alcohol and Highway Safety: Testing, Research and Litigation, and leaves Bend twice a year to teach the week long course at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She is a published author in the field as well, writing a chapter for Garriott’s Medical-​Legal Aspects of Alcohol textbook, published by Lawyers and Judges Publishing.

Since moving to private practice, Mary has focused on Criminal Defense and Family Law.

Mary spends time listening to her clients, identifying their needs and fighting to protect what is important to them. She takes a limited number of cases to ensure that her clients receive the time and attention necessary for each case.
