Mountain View Heating has proudly served Central Oregon’s residential and commercial comfort needs for over 35 years. Our continued mission is focused on serving Central Oregon as a business family, whether individual Mountain View employees donating their personal time to a Habitat for Humanity project or supporting other necessary and influential organizations of our community such as the Central Oregon Police Chaplaincy that serves our Emergency First Responders.

History

Established in 1979.

Mountain View Heating was founded by Gary and Sharrell Bunger in 1979 and incorporated on Feb. 1, 1980.

In 1986, with 35 employees, became «the» Lennox dealer in Central Oregon. By 2001, Gary and Sharrell began their retirement and two of the Bunger children, Gary Gene and Buffy who had worked in the business for several years, were given partial ownership and started new careers of working on the business rather than in it. In January of 2003, Gary was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away less than 5 months later, leaving the full ownership to Gary Gene and Buffy.

In November 2004 Mountain View Heating moved to its current location on 9^th Street. Tragedy again befell the Bungers on Oct. 17, 2006 when Gary Gary was in a tragic car accident and succumbed to his injuries on Oct. 23, 2006. Buffy continues to own and run Mountain View Heating with the overwhelming support of the employees, her family and the community.
